The Last Paragon in the Apocalypse

“This is Monix. She is a Devouring Venom Ant, my second contracted insect, and also a Tier 9 (Transcendent) insect ant. Under her are 14 Tier 8 ants, each ready to Break through the moment they devour a Tier 9 monster.”

Asha took Klaus to the next place, which was the colony of one of the most powerful Ant monsters: the Devouring Venom Ants.

Their primary mode of attack is their venom, which devours upon contact. It doesn’t matter the strength level of the opponent. When they come in contact with this venom, it will inflict damage.

“Wait a minute. If you have this type of ant, why don’t you make it breed thousands, too? With their powerful venom, having thousands of them would be much more ideal,” Klaus asked.

Any venom, when used in larger quantities, is always the best.

“I know that, but that would mean their ranks would be low, and I don’t want that. I prefer a single Tier 8 to hundreds of Tier 5.

Of course, I only have these few, mainly because I don’t really send them out there to hunt unless I follow Sister Nia on missions.

But aside from that, I also want to make them Beasts before breeding them. I am sure the moment they become Beasts, all newborns will be Beasts too.”

Asha spoke like a caring mother, and Klaus could only listen to her. But her thinking was spot on. A Beast Ant would indeed breed beast children…

Klaus was impressed and shocked at the same time.

The army under her control is indeed not something to be trifled with. She again has another Transcendent and dozens of Tier 8s, each a monster in its own right.

[This young lady is not simple. Her Class is called Insects X Hive. But so far, she hasn’t said anything about her class aside from forming contracts with these insects. If I were to guess, she only has access to forming contracts and speaking with them.

Even I am unsure if she can modify them until she awakens her bloodline.

Now, this may be a long stretch, but if she awakens a Supreme Queen Hive bloodline, know that you will have the Wicked Queen of pests, insects, and diseases on your hands.]

‘Is it that bad?’ Klaus asked.

[Yes. If she were to awaken that bloodline, then know that even a tiny ant can one day become a terror if she gets her hands on it.

Her class is designed to create an army of insects that nobody will pay attention to until it is too late. She has already started, and from the look of things, she has already figured out a path.

If all the insects under her were to evolve, then even you would have a problem dealing with her. Just wait until you see an insect evolve. That is when the true terror of an insect will be shown.] Read latest chapters at My Virtual Library Empire

Klaus absorbed the information with a thoughtful expression. If Asha truly awakened the Supreme Queen Hive bloodline, her potential would be limitless.

The thought of an army of evolved insects, each capable of becoming a terror in its own right, sent a chill down his spine.

He glanced at Asha, who was now gently stroking Monix’s head, her expression calm and focused. She seemed so unassuming, yet her power was anything but ordinary.

Klaus couldn’t help but feel admiration toward her.

[You see, Klaus, the true danger lies not just in the strength of her insects but in their adaptability and numbers. Insects are among the most resilient and resourceful creatures in existence.

They can thrive in the harshest environments, reproduce rapidly, and evolve alarmingly.

If Asha can harness that potential fully, she could become a force of nature that even the strongest warriors would struggle to contain.]

Klaus nodded silently, his gaze still fixed on Asha.

‘So, what you’re saying is that she’s a ticking time bomb? If she awakens this bloodline, she could either be an invaluable ally or a catastrophic threat.’

[Exactly. And given her current trajectory, it’s only a matter of time before she unlocks that potential. Will she use it for good, or will she succumb to the darker aspects of her power?

The Supreme Queen Hive bloodline is not just about control—it’s about dominance. It can corrupt even the purest intentions if the wielder isn’t careful.]

Asha turned to Klaus. “What do you think, Klaus? Do you see the potential in my little army?”

Klaus smiled for a moment before responding. “I do”

‘Then it’s a good thing she is my woman. No matter the corruption that awakens in her provided she is my woman, I wouldn’t have to worry about her.’

‘I just don’t want her to turn into an ant,’ Klaus smiled, making the senior chuckle. But what he said is indeed true.

If and when she awakens her bloodline, things will change about her, but so long as he has his paragon mark on her, he has nothing to worry about.

Of course, the senior didn’t want to startle him, but Asha had already awakened the Supreme Queen Hive bloodline; it was just locked for now like the rest of his ladies.

This also means the legend of the Hive Queen, who once terrorized an entire galaxy with her insect army, was about to rise again.

Strangely, she now has the Star Monarch, also known as the divine tamer or the beasts’ overlord, by her side. Who is to say what will happen next?

Klaus followed her to the next colony, where another Ant monster was; this one, however, had close to a thousand children, but only three were around. They each are just at the Saint level…

This particular Ant was a shadow type and specialized in information gathering.

After she showed him this particular ant, she disclosed she was the one who scouts potential missions and reports to the dean to be put in the mission hall in the academy.

Her ants are everywhere, gathering information and reporting to her through their queen.

This also means that if Klaus needed expendable spies, she could help using her network of spy ants that are practically made of shadow.

They left there and went to the last stage, where the most dangerous of her ants was…

When Klaus saw this particular ant, a smile appeared on his face…
