Chapter 1500: Chapter 1501: Despicable Yu Tao (Twentieth Update)

Yu Family, inside the hospital room, Yu Peng suddenly heard footsteps.

”Is it you, Xiaofei?” Yu Peng opened his eyes and said with a trembling voice.

”Grandpa, it’s me, Yu Tao!” At this moment, a young man in a suit came to Yu Peng’s bedside.

”You? You finally decided to come and see me.” Yu Peng said coldly.

”Grandpa, wasn’t I busy? I just managed to take some time to see you.” Yu Tao sneered.

”Busy?” Hearing Yu Tao’s words, Yu Peng immediately became alert.

”Boy, what are you planning to do? I’m telling you, don’t even think about touching Huameng. Huameng belongs to Yu Fei.” Yu Peng said coldly.

”Grandpa, you’re senile. Huameng in my sister’s hands will only become increasingly worthless. Only if given to me can I make it flourish.” Yu Tao sneered.

”You, wishful thinking. I took you in for the sake of your grandfather, and now you dare to covet our Yu family’s Huameng, what nerve!” Yu Peng said coldly.

”Haha, Yu Peng, my grandpa served you most of his life, and he got nothing. Now that you’re dying, just give your Yu family fortune and Huameng to me, and our two families will be even.” Yu Tao sneered.

”Nonsense!” Yu Peng gasped heavily.

A cold smirk appeared at the corner of Yu Tao’s mouth: ”Old man, I originally wanted to let you live a few more days, but your granddaughter just has to be ungrateful, so I’ll send you on your way first. But don’t worry, I’ll send your granddaughter to join you soon.”

Saying this, Yu Tao’s gaze turned cold, and he suddenly pried Yu Peng’s mouth open and stuffed a pill inside.

”Grandpa, this is medicine your grandson prepared for you, take it well, and soon, you will be free.” Yu Tao sneered.

”You, you...” With the pill forced into his mouth, Yu Peng felt a heaviness in his chest, and a sense of suffocation washed over him.

At this point, Yu Tao’s mouth curved into a cold smile as he suddenly shouted: ”Oh no, grandpa’s heart attack is acting up.”

...

At first light, Yu Fei’s phone rang.

The call was from the Yu family’s old butler, who said flusteredly: ”Miss, come back quickly, the old master is not doing well.”

”What!” Upon hearing this, Yu Fei’s face changed.

Lin Chen, Yu Fei, and Xu Feixue drove straight to the Yu family.

The Yu family was located in Los City’s Chinese district, where the villas were occupied by Chinese celebrities.

In a lavish estate, stood the Yu family residence.

A lot of bodyguards gathered around the Yu family today, and the atmosphere was extremely tense.

These people were vigilantly watching the surroundings, and they would drive away any stranger who approached.

Xu Feixue drove the car straight into the Yu family estate, and as soon as they got out, the family’s butler ran over.

”Miss, you’re back, the old master’s condition is very bad, he may not make it.” The Yu family butler said sadly.

”How can this be? Yesterday the doctor said Grandpa’s condition was improving.” Yu Fei said anxiously.

”Alas, I don’t know what’s happened, but the old master’s condition worsened this morning.” The butler sighed.

Hearing the butler’s words, Yu Fei’s gaze hardened.

”Who saw the old man this morning?” Yu Fei asked coldly.

”Young Master Yu Tao was here.” The butler replied.

”Yu Tao, it really was that bastard.” Yu Fei said angrily, her face turning red.

At this moment, the entire Yu family was enveloped in a somber atmosphere.

The unexpected critical illness of the old master was a thunderous blow to Huameng.

The four Hall Masters of Huameng were all gathered at the Yu family, each with a complex expression.

Beside the old Yu, several doctors were adjusting instruments, performing cardiac resuscitation on the old master.

On the hospital bed, Yu Peng’s eyes were tightly closed, his face as pale as a ghost.

After a brief resuscitation, the doctor finally sighed and said: ”Old Yu suffered an acute myocardial infarction, we’ve done our best, please accept our condolences.”

What!

Everyone was stunned by the doctor’s words.

Especially Azure Dragon Hall Master Long Xiaoyun, whose face looked particularly grim.

No one expected that the famous Yu Peng in Los City’s Chinatown would suddenly be in critical condition.

The Hall Masters of Xuanwu Hall and Baihu Hall also had complex expressions, with a glint flashing in their eyes.

But at the center, Yu Tao had not a hint of sadness in his eyes, instead, they were filled with an irrepressible joy.

Yet he still pretended and grabbed the doctor’s hand: ”Doctor, please try to save my grandpa.”

The doctor sighed: ”I’m sorry, we’ve done all we can.”

Yu Tao was ecstatic in his heart, but he put on a sad expression.

”Ladies and gentlemen, my grandpa, Yu Peng, dedicated his life to building Huameng. Today, our family faces misfortune and my grandpa is gravely ill. As his grandson, I am deeply grieved. Grandpa left a will, entrusting Huameng to me, and I will honor his legacy and continue to grow Huameng.”

Hearing Yu Tao’s words, Baihu Hall Master Li Ming said solemnly: ”Nephew Yu Tao, with the old master gone, Huameng relies on you now.”

”Yes, the old master was wise, only you can lead Huameng to glory.”

”Yes, yes, we are willing to follow Young Master Yu Tao.”

Listening to those voices, Yu Tao became even more proud, and he smiled faintly: ”Rest assured, with Huameng in my hands, it will surely develop and grow.”

”You are too much, the old master isn’t even dead yet, and you’re already thinking about seizing power, aren’t you?”

At that moment, a cold voice sounded, with Azure Dragon Hall Master Long Xiaoyun angrily reprimanding.

”Moreover, there’s Yu Fei, and we weren’t around when the will was made, so how can it count? We must investigate this matter thoroughly.” Long Xiaoyun said coldly.

Rebuked by Long Xiaoyun, Yu Tao’s complexion became extremely ugly.

But since Long Xiaoyun had a high status in Huameng, Yu Tao didn’t dare to act rashly, so he faintly smiled: ”Hall Master Long, grandpa entrusted Huameng to me, and both Xuanwu and Baihu Hall Masters were present, they can testify.”

”Them?” Long Xiaoyun glanced at the two.

”I don’t trust them.” Long Xiaoyun said coldly.

”Long Xiaoyun, what do you mean?” Li Ming said coldly.

”That’s right, Long Xiaoyun, you’re too suspicious.” Wang Shan also rebuked.

Long Xiaoyun snorted coldly: ”This matter should wait until Miss returns before deciding. Huameng belongs to the Yu family, I don’t believe Yu Peng would hand over the empire he built all his life to an outsider’s child.”

Among the Hall Masters, Long Xiaoyun had always been loyal to Yu Peng, following him devotedly, and he understood Old Yu. Yu Peng always wanted to groom Yu Fei to succeed him, so how could he suddenly hand Huameng to Yu Tao?

Therefore, he was certain that there was indeed a problem here.

At that moment, there was a commotion at the door, and a figure quickly rushed in.

”Grandpa!”

Yu Fei rushed to Yu Peng’s bedside, threw herself onto him, and began to cry out of control.

Seeing this scene, everyone was moved, except for one person, whose eyes flashed with a cold light.
