Super Strong Little Divine Farmer

Chapter 1319: Chapter 1320: Catching a Turtle in a Jar

Lin Chen and Wu Tianshi arrived in Shanghai, immediately hailed a cab, and leisurely checked into an international hotel in the city.

Inside the room, Lin Chen glanced down through the window, noticing a few suspicious individuals lingering below.

One of them was on the phone, evidently reporting the situation to their boss.

No need to ask; these were sent by the Yuan family, with the purpose of monitoring Lin Chen.

Since the Yuan family also had a base in South China, keeping tabs on Lin Chen would allow them to discern the Dragon Group’s next target.

Lin Chen let out a cold snort, a playful smile crossing his lips.

These guys had been tailing him since he got off the plane, and they even switched vehicles multiple times along the way.

It was clear these individuals had strong counter-surveillance skills, making it hard for the average person to notice.

But who was Lin Chen? No matter how adept their surveillance techniques, they couldn’t escape Lin Chen’s eyes.

Wu Tianshi wore a puzzled expression: ”Lin Chen, we’re really pressed for time. Why not just ditch these tails and head straight to Liaodong?”

Lin Chen faintly smiled: ”The Yuan family gave me such a big gift in Mountain City; how could I not return a hefty gift in return?”

Wu Tianshi glanced outside the window: ”That’s easy, I can notify the Dragon Group here to take care of these guys.”

Lin Chen shook his head: ”If the Dragon Group makes a move, it would be easy for them to deduce that we’ve spotted them. It’s best to let the police handle it.”

Wu Tianshi was momentarily stunned: ”What are you planning?”

Lin Chen gave a faint smile: ”Catch the turtle in the jar.”

Wu Tianshi still looked a bit confused: ”These guys haven’t broken any laws; you can’t just nab them for tailing us.”

Lin Chen chuckled, leaned close to Wu Tianshi’s ear, and shared his plan.

Upon hearing Lin Chen’s scheme, Wu Tianshi’s eyes lit up instantly.

”So that’s how it is, you crafty devil!”

Lin Chen faintly smiled: ”This time, the Yuan family will have a drink to choke on.”

After lunch, Wu Tianshi called a taxi and left the hotel.

Sure enough, six Yuan family men were waiting below, four of whom got into a car and closely followed him.

Wu Tianshi deliberately instructed the driver to drive slowly, so the Yuan family members trailing them could easily keep up.

As the car reached the city center, Wu Tianshi mischievously took out his phone.

That guy was ridiculously sly; the Yuan family was about to be thoroughly played by Lin Chen this time.

Wu Tianshi dialed 110: ”Hello, is this the police? I’m a businessman here in Shanghai on business. We’re being tailed by a gang on Huai Zhong Road. We have over five million in cash. I think they want to rob us. Officer, you’ve got to help me.”

At this moment, Wu Tianshi’s voice even trembled slightly, causing the policewoman on the call to feel a rush of tension.

Now, the taxi was located in downtown Shanghai, surrounded by commercial districts and densely populated areas. If a robbery occurred, it would have dire consequences.

”Sir, please remain calm and provide your vehicle license plate number and exact location. Our team will be there promptly,” the policewoman reassured.

”Alright, you have to hurry; they’re getting closer and might make a move soon. They might also be armed.” Wu Tianshi relayed the license plate and location before hanging up.

The taxi driver, upon hearing Wu Tianshi’s call, was startled.

”Gentlemen, are we really being tailed by thugs? Shouldn’t I accelerate to outrun them?” the driver worriedly asked.

Wu Tianshi smiled: ”No need, accelerating might make them think we’ve noticed them, prompting them to act first. Just maintain your speed until the police arrive.”

The taxi driver cursed inwardly, feeling unlucky to pick up such a ride.

The case was serious, so the policewoman promptly reported it to her superiors.

The city bureau leaders took it very seriously; after all, if such an egregious crime occurred in the heart of this international metropolis, it would tarnish its global reputation.

In no time, police sirens wailed on the streets as SWAT teams, armed police, and surrounding officers were all mobilized, spreading a Heaven and Earth Net.

Wu Tianshi looked at the car still foolishly tailing them and smiled slyly.

”Aren’t you fond of playing tricks? I’ll see how you weep when the police arrive.”

In fact, Lin Chen had noticed these individuals right after landing, and along the way, he used his X-ray vision to see that they were carrying guns.

In China, carrying firearms is a very serious crime. Regardless of the reason, carrying a gun is illegal in the eyes of the police and always considered a serious offense.

So whether or not these people intended to commit robbery, whether or not they were actual criminals, was no longer significant, as they had already crossed the line.

Just then, Lin Chen saw police cars appear across the way, prompting him to instruct the taxi driver: ”Speed up, as fast as you can.”

The taxi driver hesitated, but since he had heard they were being tailed by armed thugs, he dared not delay, as his life was at stake.

He slammed the accelerator, causing the taxi to rocket forward, squeezing between two police cars.

The trailing driver was momentarily dumbstruck when the taxi suddenly accelerated, but was immediately shocked upon seeing the emerging police cars.

Those two police cars had swerved to block the intersection.

”What the hell, why are there police? Quick, turn around,” shouted a sunglasses-wearing member of the Yuan family inside the car.

However, just as they turned the car around, two more police cars appeared behind them.

At this point, police sirens blared around them as they were completely surrounded by officers.

”Damn it, we’ve been tricked,” one of the Yuan family members’ faces changed.

He had realized something was off here earlier; this should be one of the busiest roads in Shanghai, usually flooded with traffic, but today it was eerily quiet. There had only been their car and the taxi earlier.

Moreover, there were no pedestrians, clearly indicating the area had been cleared.

”Boss, what do we do now?” The people in the car panicked.

At this time, more and more police, including riot police and special forces, all armed to the teeth, surrounded them in a high state of readiness.

”Attention to the vehicle ahead, you are surrounded. Please get out with your hands on your heads for inspection.”

Damn, inspection!

Inside the car, the four were on the verge of tears.

For safety, each of them was armed; a check would certainly spell trouble.

Now, they had no choice.

Despite their exceptional skills, they were completely surrounded by so many officers, making escape impossible.

”Boss, what should we do?” The driver trembled at the sight of gun barrels aimed at them.

”Forget it, do you want to charge out and die? Surrender,” the so-called boss said, deflated.

The four finally opened the car doors, hands on their heads, and stepped out.

A swarm of special forces rushed in, handcuffing the four immediately.
