Super Strong Little Divine Farmer

Chapter 1301: Chapter 1302: Apprehending the Suspect

Lin Chen brought Xin Xiaoqi and Xiao Yushan to a residential building area.

Next to this residential area is the Wei River, and the building where the suspect resides is one near the riverbank.

This is the western suburbs of the city, and the buildings are all over twenty years old.

The building walls are in disrepair, and there is a severe problem of residents illegally constructing additions.

The suspect lives on the second floor, right above some makeshift rooms built by residents.

If the suspect jumps out the window, they can directly reach the Wei River, and once they jump into the river, it will be very difficult to capture them.

The three of them observed for a while below. The curtains inside the house were drawn, and there was no movement inside.

”Are you sure the suspect is inside?” Xin Xiaoqi asked doubtfully.

”Of course, this guy is very strong. You two stay here while I go up myself,” Lin Chen said.

”We should go together, just in case.” Xiao Yushan said, pulling out her gun.

”No, this guy is very strong, not someone you can handle,” Lin Chen said firmly.

Lin Chen knew that the suspect in front of them might very well be the one who injured Zhao Xiaohua.

Moreover, this person is skilled with hidden weapons. If something happens to Xin Xiaoqi and Xiao Yushan, it will be too late for regrets.

”Alright, you two stay down here. If he comes rushing down, we can ambush him.”

Lin Chen knew he might have hurt their pride, so he comforted them.

”Alright then, be careful,”

Xin Xiaoqi knew Lin Chen was doing it for their good, so she did not insist further.

Lin Chen nodded and crept around to the other side of the building.

However, Lin Chen noticed that the suspect’s window was actually open, which made his heart sink.

It’s already autumn, and the weather has turned chilly. The wind and sand by the river are strong, so logically, the window shouldn’t be open.

Could it be that there’s no one inside!

”Has Xiaoshuai escaped yet?” Lin Chen asked.

”In the surveillance of the Heavenly Eye system, this guy wasn’t found. But if he escaped and avoided the cameras, it’s hard to say,” Xiaoshuai replied.

Lin Chen looked around; the area by the river was about to be demolished, so it was a mess with no cameras, making the possibility of his escape very high.

Lin Chen leapt onto the wall. Not far away, Xin Xiaoqi and Xiao Yushan were almost astonished by Lin Chen’s movements.

What does it mean to move nimbly like a swallow, to scale walls with ease?

Facing a wall two meters high, Lin Chen leapt up effortlessly.

The two-story building wasn’t tall, but climbing up still required some effort.

Yet Lin Chen shot up, grabbed the drainpipe, and in a few flashes landed lightly in front of the suspect’s window.

Looking in with his perspective vision, Lin Chen realized the place was empty, so he didn’t hold back any longer and leapt through the window frame into the house.

Soon after, Xin Xiaoqi’s phone rang: ”You can come up now, the person’s gone.”

Xin Xiaoqi and Xiao Yushan entered the room and saw Lin Chen gazing out at the river.

Lin Chen pointed to a spot not far away: ”He probably went out the window, over the wall, jumped onto the two-story building, and then into the Wei River from the fence. This route has no camera surveillance.”

”How is that possible? The walls along this route are covered with anti-theft glass, and that two-story building is so high. How could he possibly jump up there?” Xiao Yushan said incredulously.

Lin Chen chuckled bitterly. An ordinary person certainly couldn’t, but for a Martial Artist, it’s too easy.

After one round in the bedroom, Lin Chen’s gaze fell on an ashtray on the windowsill.

He picked up a cigarette butt and felt it. It was still warm.

Lin Chen’s eyes narrowed slightly. This cigarette butt betrayed the suspect.

Perhaps the person just wanted to smoke one last cigarette to relax before leaving, but he never expected Lin Chen would realize from it a crucial fact: the owner of this cigarette butt had just escaped.

”Xiaoshuai, monitor all cameras within five kilometers along the river. If anyone comes up from the river, that’s the suspect,” Lin Chen said in his mind to Xiaoshuai.

Before long, Xiaoshuai sent back information.

”Found him. A person in a diving suit just came ashore and got into a business van with plate number X-A8536 heading towards the suburbs,” Xiaoshuai said.

Lin Chen’s eyes narrowed slightly: ”Xiaoshuai, keep following him.”

”The suspect has come ashore, issue a citywide alert for the business van with plate number X-A8536,” Lin Chen said coldly.

”How did you know?” Xin Xiaoqi and Xiao Yushan were baffled.

Lin Chen had been with them the entire time, yet he knew things happening kilometers away.

”I’ll explain later. Quickly set up a blockade, don’t let them leave the western city. If you spot the target, avoid alarming him. Surround but don’t capture, delay as much time as possible,” Lin Chen continued.

Lin Chen didn’t have the police directly capture because the suspect was definitely above the Void God Realm level. If they attempted a rash capture, not only might they fail, but they could also incur unnecessary losses.

Xin Xiaoqi and Xiao Yushan directly issued the orders to the Dragon Group and the Western City Public Security Bureau.

The Dragon Group and the Western City Public Security Bureau reacted swiftly, and soon a large net was cast over the western city.

Lin Chen and the others quickly drove off in the direction the van was escaping.

The entire police force of the western city was mobilized, blocking all routes out of the city.

As the roads were blocked, all the main roads leading out of the city became congested, which was exactly what Lin Chen aimed for.

However, as the highways became increasingly clogged, many drivers couldn’t help but swear, as this was rush hour and many were going to be late for work.

Inside a Mercedes, a figure looked out the window at the continuously passing police cars and frowned.

”Aji, these police aren’t targeting you, are they?” a young man in designer clothes in the backseat asked worriedly.

Aji gazed out the window and said patiently, ”Looks like they’ve already discovered me.”

”What do we do then?” Xu Wei asked nervously, pushing a woman beside him away.

”Ram the car in front,” Aji said coldly.

”What?” Xu Wei thought he misheard.

But by then, Aji had already switched the car from park to drive.

The car was on a slope and rushed down immediately, crashing into the car in front.

”Boom!”

The two cars collided, causing a chain reaction.

”Boom, boom, boom!” Several more cars crashed into each other.

At this point, drivers ahead rushed out: ”Damn, do you even know how to drive? Get out here!”

Aji gave Xu Wei a knowing glance.

Xu Wei got the hint, and the three of them got out together.

As soon as the driver got out, he was surrounded by the crowd, while Aji and Xu Wei mingled with the onlookers.

”Consultant Lin, we found the car, but it got into an accident, and there was only the driver inside,” a police officer reported to Lin Chen.

”An accident?” Lin Chen’s eyes turned cold. Clearly, the suspect had abandoned the car to escape.

”Continue to block the exits from the city. He won’t be able to escape,” Lin Chen said, watching the vehicles passing through the checkpoints.
