Super Strong Little Divine Farmer

Chapter 492: Chapter 493 Guardian God

After communicating with the system, Lin Chen soon mastered the method to open the stone door.

The stone door required five people to open, and only the person standing at the array’s focal point could open the stone door and enter within.

Lin Chen looked at the others and said seriously, ”Can you four help me to enter the stone door? However, I must warn you that there is a risk involved—if I can’t come out of the stone door, I’m afraid you may also be affected.”

”Lin Chen, you’re too polite, no problem at all,” Zhang Yu said with a smile.

”Exactly, Lin Chen, aren’t you treating us as friends?” Xu Ye said with some dissatisfaction.

”Both in official and personal terms, I should help you, so it’s no problem for me either,” Xie Wanling said in a solemn tone.

Wu Shitong also nodded and continued, ”As long as you don’t mind me slowing you down, I’m in.”

”Great! Let’s get started!” Lin Chen and the others took their places in the Kan, Li, Zhen, Qian, and Kun directions.

Lin Chen sat in the center, his palm imprint constantly changing, suddenly accompanied by a roar, golden light flickered around the altar.

Lin Chen came before the door again and gave the stone door a gentle push with his hand.

With a creak, the closed stone door was surprisingly pushed open by Lin Chen.

In front of Lin Chen was a vast expanse of whiteness; as he stepped through the door, he suddenly felt the ground give way beneath him, and his body began to plummet rapidly.

All around him, memory fragments flashed by like scenes from a film entering his vision.

The only thing that frustrated Lin Chen was that these memory fragments were fleeting.

Finally, Lin Chen felt his feet hit solid ground, and a long path appeared before him.

”Tap tap tap!”

Accompanied by a series of crisp footsteps, a white figure emerged from the mist.

Lin Chen watched the person coming out of the mist and suddenly froze.

The person looked exactly like him.

”Who are you?” Lin Chen asked curiously.

The doppelganger suddenly giggled.

”I am the God sent by the creator to protect you!”

”Creator? Guardian God?” Lin Chen stared at the other with a puzzled face.

The Guardian God smiled faintly, ”Everyone is born with a celestial being coming to the mortal world alongside them. They help them ward off disasters when they face danger, and guide them in the direction of their future life when they are at a crossroads. No matter what kind of life they have, we will always accompany them, until their physical death and the end of their life.”

”If everyone has a Guardian God, why do some people become evildoers and commit crimes? Why is there good and evil in this world?” Lin Chen inquired.

The Guardian God continued to explain, ”Humans are inherently good at birth, and we celestial beings always help humans to develop towards the good side. But after humans are born, they are influenced by various external factors. Some people are overly influenced by negativity, which drives them further away from their Guardian God, making it hard for them to hear the Guardian God’s voice.”

Lin Chen nodded and continued to ask, ”Since you are my Guardian God, then you must know about my past, right?”

The Guardian God suddenly smiled, ”Your past? Your memories? These are your memories.”

As the voice fell, the Guardian God waved a hand gently, and restrictions appeared one after another in front of Lin Chen.

And it seemed that each seal contained a memory.

”Why have all my memories been sealed away?” Lin Chen asked with a somewhat unsightly expression.

The Guardian God sighed, ”Because you touched upon some forbidden taboos, as punishment, those memories related to you were sealed away by the creator.”

”Taboos? What exactly did I touch upon that warranted my memories to be sealed?” Lin Chen asked in confusion.

”That was your own choice. You have been here before, and you traded your memories for something in return. Therefore, you won’t remember anything that happened before,” the Guardian God continued.

”Then how can I unlock these seals?” Lin Chen asked in a deep voice.

The Guardian God fixed his gaze on Lin Chen, ”To gain something, you must also lose something. You must give up something to regain your lost memories. For instance, you could exchange the lives of the four people who helped you come here for a part of your memories, or you could trade your five senses for memories, or even parts of your body for an equivalent exchange.”

Upon hearing the Guardian God’s words, Lin Chen suddenly laughed, ”Friendship is the most important thing to me. I will not exchange their blood for my past. The five senses and each part of my body were given by my parents; I will not abandon them either. I will retrieve my past with my own strength. I made the wrong choice last time, and I will not make the same mistake again.”

”So you don’t want to know about your past?”

”Guardian God, both my past and my future will be in my own hands. I will work hard to obtain them. The so-called equivalent exchange is just a compromise, a denial of oneself. I will not compromise, even if you are gods or the creator.”

With that, Lin Chen walked towards the other end of the door without looking back.

After hearing Lin Chen’s words, the Guardian God suddenly let out a hearty laugh, ”Good, you have truly grown a lot compared to before. I like this new you.”

”Wait a moment, since you can come here, as your Guardian God, it’s only natural that I give you a little benefit.” As he spoke, the Guardian God lightly tapped with his finger, and Lin Chen felt a mysterious energy suddenly surge within his body.

”This is the Wood attribute!” Lin Chen thought ecstatically.

He suddenly thought of something, quickly turned around, and asked, ”Does this mean that when I entered this forbidden door last time, I also acquired an attribute?”

The Guardian God smiled faintly, ”Indeed, last time you gained the Thunder attribute.”

No wonder I have two attributes against heaven’s will. It turns out that I had been through the door of taboo before. I never expected to acquire another attribute this time, which means I now possess Metal, Fire, and Wood—three attributes.

My goodness, a tri-attribute ability user, absolutely defying the heavens.

Lin Chen bowed to the Guardian God and then strode out of the door of taboo.

Watching Lin Chen’s departing figure, the Guardian God’s mouth curved with a hint of a smile, ”Lin Chen, I hope you will comprehend the origin soon and reach the divine altar in unity with me, as god and man combined!”

Lin Chen stepped out of the door of taboo, and everything around him returned to normal.

At this moment, Xie Wanling and the others all turned pale with shock, especially Wu Shitong, whose face was drenched in sweat and looked as if she was about to faint.

Seeing Lin Chen awaken, everyone let out a sigh of relief.

”How did it go? Did you gain anything?” Xie Wanling asked eagerly.

Lin Chen smiled, ”Regarding my past, I gained nothing, but for the future, I’ve gained a lot.”

Just then, the great hall suddenly began to shake violently.

Damn, the hall is about to collapse, we need to get out of here quickly.

Huge stones began to fall from above, and the massive stone doors also shattered with a crash.

Lin Chen looked at the forbidden door, now reduced to rubble, and clenched his fist, ”My past and my future will not be controlled by anyone, be it man or god. No one can do so; I am the master of my fate!”
