Super Strong Little Divine Farmer

Chapter 429: Chapter 430: Dueling with a Pretty Girl

Lin Chen had just parked his car when an individual who resembled an old butler approached him.

”Young man, are you the new bodyguard?” the old butler asked, looking at Lin Chen with a hint of pity in his eyes.

Lin Chen nodded, ”Yes, sir, can I park my car here?”

”I suggest you park it to the side, to make way for an ambulance to pass through later,” the old butler said.

”Ambulance, is there a sick person in the villa?” Lin Chen asked curiously.

The old butler sighed, ”There’s no sick person, but I think someone will get hurt soon enough.”

With that, the old butler pointed towards the gate, ”Enter on your own, young man, but let me remind you to be careful and try not to get hurt too badly.”

Looking at the old butler’s eyes, it seemed as if not two beautiful women, but two super demons lived behind these doors.

Lin Chen approached the entrance, pushed open the door, and saw a pretty young lady wearing a robe, sitting on the couch watching television.

Lin Chen had seen photos of Xiao Ziting before, but the real person was far more attractive than her pictures.

The girl in front of him not only had a perfect score in beauty but also possessed a devilish figure that could make any man’s blood boil. Her slender waist, the silky smooth cascade of her hair, paired with that luminously dewy face, and lying on the couch, her enchanting S-curve was fully displayed. Underneath her nightgown, those smooth and fair little feet looked as exquisite as jade sculptures, irresistibly enticing.

”Are you the new bodyguard?” the girl’s languid voice carried over.

Lin Chen nodded and replied, ”Yes, I am here to protect you and Miss Xiao Zi.”

Xiao Ziting scrutinized Lin Chen, ”You look decent enough, but your outfit is too shabby. Overall, I’d say you fail the grade.”

A cunning glint passed through the corner of her eye as she said, ”You can’t wear shoes inside the villa, change into slippers.”

Lin Chen nodded, and went to look for slippers in the shoe cabinet, but it was completely empty; there were no slippers to be found.

Xiao Ziting smiled, ”Oh, I forgot, the slippers are all out on the balcony getting some sun. You can fetch them yourself.”

”Oh!” Lin Chen nodded, removed his shoes, and started to walk barefoot inside.

However, he stopped just before the doormat.

With his x-ray vision, Lin Chen realized that there was a layer of small nails hidden underneath the doormat.

The sharp points of the nails were facing upwards, and the consequence of stepping on them was obvious without even thinking.

”This little miss is quite malicious,” Lin Chen’s brow furrowed slightly.

Xiao Ziting sat on the couch, seemingly engrossed in the television, but her gaze was fixed on Lin Chen.

She was waiting to witness Lin Chen scream in agony as he stepped on the nails.

The corner of Lin Chen’s mouth curled up slightly as he boldly stepped onto the mat with his bare feet.

Xiao Ziting had been anticipating Lin Chen’s embarrassment, but to her astonishment, he walked across the doormat as if nothing out of the ordinary had happened, causing her expression to change dramatically.

How was this possible? Those were sharp nails! Before Lin Chen, several bodyguards had already succumbed to this first challenge, but this guy seemed to walk as effortlessly as if he were on flat ground.

His face wore a light smile, as if he was completely unfazed.

Were the soles of his feet made of iron?

Seeing Lin Chen pass the first test, Xiao Ziting’s alluring eyes narrowed slightly. He’d managed to get through the first challenge, she was curious to see how he’d deal with the second.

Xiao Ziting stretched lazily and instructed Lin Chen, ”Guard, go get me a glass of water.”

Lin Chen nodded and his eyes landed on the electric kettle on the table.

”Alright!”

Saying this, Lin Chen walked toward the electric kettle, but as soon as his hand touched it, he felt a stream of electricity flow through his body.

The electric kettle was leaking electricity.

Lin Chen knew this was definitely another one of the young lady’s clever tricks; the shock wasn’t lethal, but even if it wouldn’t kill, the sensation of an electric shock was still quite unpleasant.

At this moment, Xiao Ziting, who was lying on the sofa, was ready to hear Lin Chen’s cries of agony, but to her surprise, she discovered that Lin Chen had actually picked up the electric kettle to pour himself a glass of water.

How could this be? Could it be that the electric leakage setting on the electric kettle was broken?

In the end, Lin Chen actually placed the electric kettle and the cup on the coffee table in front of Xiao Ziting.

”If you want to drink, pour it yourself,” Lin Chen said indifferently.

Xiao Ziting had a look of confusion on her face. How could this be possible? She had clearly tested that electricity was present on the upper part of the kettle, but how could Lin Chen hold it so steadily and without any reaction?

Looking at the electric kettle in front of her, Xiao Ziting reached out her hand.

No sooner had her hand touched the handle of the kettle than Xiao Ziting felt a current of electricity enter her body.

”Ah!”

Xiao Ziting let out a cry of pain and quickly withdrew her hand from the kettle.

Lin Chen looked at Xiao Ziting with a smile, ”Miss, what’s wrong with you?”

Xiao Ziting gritted her teeth and said, ”It’s nothing. Go upstairs and you’ll find slippers on the landing.”

Lin Chen nodded, his gaze landing on the staircase.

Looking at the staircase, Lin Chen couldn’t help but smile. The even-numbered steps were fine, but the odd-numbered steps had been slicked with lubricating oil—a sure set-up for anyone to slip and fall flat on their face.

With a faint smile, Lin Chen took two steps at a time and started on the first step.

Seeing that Lin Chen had seen through her little trick, Xiao Ziting was furious to the point of steaming with rage.

Normally those bodyguards, even if they were skilled, would still be shocked by the kettle to the point of foaming at the mouth.

What was puzzling was that Lin Chen, despite handling the kettle, seemed completely unaffected.

Watching Lin Chen reach the landing, Xiao Ziting’s eyes narrowed slightly.

The kid really did have some skills to have broken through my three barriers.

Xiao Ziting stood up from the sofa and cautiously turned off the electric kettle’s shock switch, even going as far as pouring a cup of water for Lin Chen and placing it opposite herself.

However, she quickly slipped some powder into Lin Chen’s cup.

Lin Chen, wearing slippers, came down from upstairs, and Xiao Ziting put on a very welcoming facade.

”Mr. Bodyguard, you must be tired from your journey, come sit down. I’ll explain to you what you need to pay attention to as my sister’s bodyguard.”

Lin Chen nodded and approached the table. Suddenly, he pointed behind at the trash can and screamed.

”My God, why is there smoke in the trash can? Could it be on fire?”

On fire?

Hearing Lin Chen’s shout, Xiao Ziting could no longer stay seated and stood up in a panic.

Sure enough, a wisp of smoke was coming out of the trash can.

”My God, how could there be a fire here?” Xiao Ziting said anxiously, ”Quick, get a basin of water!”

Lin Chen nodded, went into the kitchen, fetched a basin of water, and poured it into the trash can.

The flames inside were quickly extinguished.

Xiao Ziting let out a sigh of relief before saying to Lin Chen, ”Mr. Bodyguard, please have a seat!”

Lin Chen nodded and slowly prepared to sit down.

Xiao Ziting watched Lin Chen, who was about to sit, with a teasing look and an expression of triumph on her face.

”Kid, this time I’ll see how you escape from the palm of my hand,” she thought to herself as she sat down first.

However, the moment Xiao Ziting sat down, she instantly shot up high into the air.
