I Reincarnated as a Support Character with an S-Rank Harem, So What?

Whether Ryan’s group considered it luck or not that they had encountered the S-Rank Sky Dungeon.

It was a fact that because of it, their group had changed.

Mirian and Helen had managed to reach S-Rank.

And although it was because of Ryan’s character’s ”bug” that he was able to level up inside the dungeon.

At least he no longer felt helpless knowing that he could fight and defend himself.

But now that they had finally returned to the guild.

They had Sophia trying to charge them compensation because of the lost client, and for failing the mission.

Even if Sophia had offered them a solution. It might not be very comforting.

”...”

Helen slammed her closed fist onto the counter.

”Are you insane? You’re sending us to fight the Demon King!?”

”Helen calm down, I never said you would fight the Demon King, your rank is not suitable for that, it would be ridiculous, what I meant is, you must go to the borders”

Mirian took a deep breath.

Then she spoke.

”If I remember correctly, on the border with the Demon King’s domain there is Ehres Valley. And that village was destroyed by demons. Right?”

”That’s right, but it was also rebuilt, the S-Class heroes repelled the demons, and for now the city has been rebuilt.” Sophia said as she dropped a map onto the table and pointed to the location of the village.

Ryan leaned closer to the map.

”But isn’t it only a matter of time before they attack again?”

”No, the city is full of adventurers and the survivors of the city. To be honest, during that attack there were no casualties. The demons only wanted to seal the portal that opened there.”

”Then they sealed that portal?” Ryan asked.

”Yes, although the guild doesn’t have information on how portals are sealed. The point is, you should be able to go without worrying about fighting demons. I think.”

”That doesn’t sound very reassuring.” Mirian grumbled.

”Fu fu fu, but you’re forgetting something very important.” Helen laughed proudly and placed her hand on her chest.

”You see Sophia. we are S-Rank now.”

”What are you saying, stop joking.”

”I’m not lying, use Inspect.”

”Fine, I’ll do it.”

”Inspect.”

”...”

”How is that possible! Since when are you S-Rank!” Sophia’s shout alerted the other adventurers in the guild, who quickly gathered around them.

The crowd began murmuring among themselves.

”Are they really S-Rank?”

”That’s impossible, just a month ago they were barely...”

”That useless trio is S-Rank now? Don’t make me laugh.” Said a man so large he could easily pass for an ogre.

And when he approached, forcing his way through the adventurers.

Helen sent him flying with a punch that blasted him straight through the guild doors.

”Anyone else going to say we’re a useless trio?” Helen swept her gaze across the other adventurers, fire burning in her eyes.

They backed away, intimidated.

Mirian approached and placed a hand on Helen’s shoulder.

”Oh Helen, you’re so easy to provoke.”

Ryan sighed.

’And they keep causing trouble.’

Sophia remained staring at them for a moment longer.

Stunned.

”Inspection doesn’t lie, you really are S-Rank...” Sophia pressed her cheeks hard, trying to collect herself.

Then she added.

”It’s true, you really are S-Rank. Even though you omitted that in the report... we’ll deal with that after you complete this mission. By the way... that door will also be added to your debt.”

...

Sophia told them she would give them the mission details at dawn.

So Ryan returned home with Helen and Mirian.

In truth, he only followed them, since he didn’t even know they had a house they shared as a group.

When they entered the house.

The tables were covered in dust. The floor as well.

It was normal. No one had opened the doors of that place for a month.

”I can’t believe the mission that was supposed to pay us 50K crones ended up charging us half a million crones.” Helen complained as she traced the shape of a sad face with her finger on the dusty table.

”I think it’s just blackmail, I mean. We were gone for an entire month, right?” Ryan replied.

Mirian walked to the center of the room.

”Well, if we finish the mission, there won’t be any debt anyway.”

”Stop thinking about that, at least we’re S-Rank.” Helen said with a smile.

”You want to solve everything just by remembering you’re S-Rank.” Ryan grumbled as he walked to the center of the room and sat on the edge of a wooden couch.

Then he added.

”You need to learn to control yourselves. In everything. You’re reckless, problematic, and irresponsible.”

”Hummm. What’s that supposed to mean Ryan, why are you angry with us?” Mirian asked.

”Yeah, besides you also share part of the blame, right Mirian?”

’Now they’re going to make me their accomplice?’

”But more importantly, we’re not just S-Rank, Ryan became really strong, I don’t think there’s a single support member as strong as him.” Mirian commented, quickly shifting the tension in the room.

”True, but how did you do it? Did you distribute your points into Strength?”

”Don’t be stupid Helen, can’t you see his support magic is even stronger now. He used his points the way he should.”

”But that... still doesn’t make sense.”

”Relax, that’s because of the attributes on these gloves, they’re very useful. And I gained the Wolf Hunter title after defeating the boss. Heh heh”

Helen’s eyes lit up.

”You seriously have that title now? That’s awesome!”

Then Mirian approached Ryan as if inspecting him.

”Well that explains why he became so strong.”

’Those things helped, but the real reason is the Debt system.’

They spent a while talking about their experience in the dungeon, and how pleasant it had been to meet the elves, especially considering how well they had treated them despite the fact that it was their fault the proud dragon had followed their trail there.

But eventually they went to sleep. The journey had left them exhausted, the kind of mental exhaustion that healing magic could not cure.

Ryan dropped onto the bed like a rock and didn’t wake up until sunlight streamed through the window.

When he left the room, Helen and Mirian were having breakfast.

They invited him to eat, and afterward they headed to the guild to speak with Sophia, who would give them the new mission.

As they walked toward the guild, they began to notice people looking at them with curiosity before whispering among themselves, though they couldn’t quite hear what they were saying.

But since they were in a hurry, they didn’t pay it much attention and continued toward the guild.

Ryan pushed open the guild doors.

Sophia was there with five men wearing typical guard uniforms.

”What’s going on here so early, what kind of trouble did you get into this time Sophia. Ha ha.” Helen mocked.

’So reckless...’

”Actually, they’re here because of you.” Sophia approached Ryan’s group together with the guards.

”What! And why would that be? We haven’t done anything!”

”Relax.” The man in the guard uniform stepped forward.

”You are not under arrest but... I have orders to bring you before the hand of the King. Duke August Halberg III”
