My Superpower Leads Me to Murderers

Chapter 441: Chapter 441: I Have a Few Moles on My Side; Take Them to Vent Your Anger

If Amanda Hawthorne leaked the news, they wouldn’t have to worry about Isabelle Hawthorne continuing to hide things. Their mission would already be halfway to success.

”What about the Boss Lady? Should I go keep an eye on them now?” Zoe Sawyer asked.

Evan Keller, who was about to leave, stopped in his tracks. He thought for a moment and said, ”You can go check out the situation first, but don’t act rashly. Your safety is the top priority.”

It was a good idea to scout things out in advance and get a clear picture of the situation inside. Then they could arrange their manpower accordingly.

But there was no rush. Evan Keller still wanted Zoe Sawyer to put her safety first.

”I know, don’t worry,” Zoe Sawyer said, patting her chest in assurance.

She wasn’t an idiot. Although she had been training with Heath Hale and the others, if she were to face those ruthless criminals, her only real option would be to run for her life.

This time, she would stick to quietly observing. She needed to figure out exactly how many people were on the ship, what they were all doing, and if it would impact the future arrests.

Once he was sure Zoe Sawyer had a handle on it, Evan Keller felt at ease and left with his men.

Even if Zoe Sawyer saw something that infuriated her and made her want to rush in, it wouldn’t be a disaster. Barry Quinn and Heath Hale were right there with her.

The two of them could definitely keep Zoe Sawyer in check and prevent her from taking any reckless risks.

The thought made Evan Keller feel even more at ease.

Meanwhile, Zoe Sawyer had already gripped the doorknob, trying to recall the Boss Lady’s appearance.

Soon, a signal came from the door, indicating a successful lock-on.

Zoe Sawyer carefully pushed the door open, wanting to see the situation on the other side. The moment she did, a blinding light shone on her face.

Caught unprepared, Zoe Sawyer instinctively raised a hand to block the intense light shining directly at her.

”You actually brought so much entertainment. Looks like I won’t be bored for a while.”

The Boss Lady’s voice came from ahead, and the door itself seemed to notice Zoe’s predicament.

A transparent barrier flickered, blocking the intense light from passing through the doorway.

Only then did Zoe Sawyer slowly open her eyes. She saw the Boss Lady standing with her back to her, hands on her hips.

Beside her stood a woman in a sharp suit, holding a phone and occasionally tapping the screen.

Zoe Sawyer shifted her gaze from the Boss Lady to what was in front of her.

Once she got a clear look at the situation, her previously somewhat slouching posture snapped straight.

”What is it? Did something happen?” Heath Hale and Barry Quinn had been keeping an eye on Zoe. When they saw her suddenly stand bolt upright, they knew something was wrong on the other side and hurried over.

Zoe Sawyer didn’t speak. She just stepped aside to let the two men see the scene inside.

Heath Hale and Barry Quinn followed her line of sight. Once they saw clearly, they understood why Zoe’s reaction had been so strong.

Across from the Boss Lady, a large group of people was squatting on the ground.

They were of all different skin colors, every one of them in rags. Their exposed limbs bore numerous injuries, and thick iron chains were shackled around their ankles.

Surrounding them was a line of bodyguards armed with guns. If any of the captives made a move, the bodyguards would raise their weapons as a warning.

The floor around them was stained with dark red marks. Anyone who wasn’t a fool could guess what those stains were.

The Boss Lady wore a pair of oversized sunglasses, but Zoe and the others could tell from the slight curl of her lips that she was very pleased with the scene before her.

A young man stood in front of the bodyguards on the left. Hearing the Boss Lady’s praise, a smile also appeared on his face. ”This is your first time on board, after all. We can’t skip the proper ceremony.

”Since we both share the same interests, I had to prepare a little extra. We still have many guests coming later; any less would be unsatisfying. That would mean I, as the host, have been inhospitable.”

The Boss Lady lifted her chin toward the woman in the suit beside her and said, ”You’ve made some nice preparations, and I’ve brought something myself.

”As it happens, I also have a batch of ’cargo’ to deal with. I’ve already had it loaded onto a ship and sent over. Tomorrow night, along with this batch, how about we see whose aim is better?”

”If we’re going to play a game, there have to be stakes,” the young man replied, not objecting to the Boss Lady’s idea. He crossed his arms, tapping his fingers on his bicep a few times. As if thinking of something good, he said, ”I heard quite a few of your people were caught by the police over there.

”As it happens, I caught a few undercover agents they sent over a while ago. How about I give them to you to blow off some steam? And if we have enough fun, how about you give me one of your ports?”

The Boss Lady’s eyes flashed with viciousness as he hit a sore spot. After hearing the young man’s condition, she agreed without hesitation. ”No problem. Remember to sever the tendons in their arms and legs.

”These types are tough nuts to crack. If you don’t torture them until they can’t move, who knows what kind of trouble they’ll stir up!”

The Boss Lady had learned to be smarter. Although torturing them bit by bit was satisfying, one moment of carelessness and these people could escape, bringing danger upon herself.

’It’s better to just sever their tendons from the start. Once I’m sure they have no ability to escape or resist, I can torture them slowly.’

In just a few seconds, the Boss Lady had already thought of many ways to torture them.

As for the port he demanded, the Boss Lady agreed without a second thought.

Besides, she had no plans to return there anyway. It was too easy to be exposed, so using it to curry a favor was a good deal.

In the future, she might even need help from the forces behind this man.

”You can count on me. I’ve already drugged them, and they’re under guard.

”When the time comes, I’ll let you pick them out yourself. I guarantee you’ll have fun!” the young man said, not refusing. After all, the people were already caught. The Boss Lady’s requests were minor and no trouble at all.

In just a few sentences, the two of them had decided what would happen next, sealing the fate of this group of people.

The smiles on their faces were so wide even their sunglasses couldn’t hide them.

They exchanged a few more pleasantries before parting ways.

As for whether the captives in front of them could understand, they couldn’t care less.

They had guns and bodyguards; these people couldn’t stir up any trouble. If they really ran into a tough nut, they could just toss them into the sea to feed the fish.

’Tossing them in the sea means no worries about the body being found. Clean and simple!’

The two spoke with such casual cheer, but the three people in the doorway listened, burning with rage. They wished they could charge in right now, restrain them both, and rescue the prisoners.

However, the situation was still unclear. To rescue all the captives safely, they still needed to figure out the personnel deployment here.

Thinking of the undercover agents the young man had just mentioned, a worried expression crossed Barry Quinn’s face. His gaze toward Zoe Sawyer was filled with pleading.

Although the young man hadn’t specified who ”over there” was, the three of them understood perfectly well he was talking about them.

”Zoe, can you try to find them first? See how those brothers are doing. I’m worried they’re in bad shape.”
