Our Anniversary, You Chose Her – I Chose Divorce

And that was how Sunny Reed had done it.

Walker Grant’s eyes were glacial as he said coldly, ”Someone with so little awareness isn’t fit to be a teacher at a kindergarten like this. Inform the school to fire her.”

”Yes,” the bodyguard answered.

Walker Grant then turned to Noah Grant, his tone softening a little. ”Noah, come here.”

But Noah burrowed into Sunny Reed’s arms, shaking his head repeatedly. ”I won’t! I want Mommy! Uncle, I want to be with Mommy... WAAAH... Don’t send my mommy away, okay?”

The little boy looked utterly pitiful as he cried, his large eyes fixed on Walker Grant in a desperate plea.

Walker Grant’s eyes darkened, and the frigid aura around him grew even more intense.

Sunny Reed looked at him pleadingly. ”Walker, I’m begging you. Everything that happened before was my fault, but the child is innocent. You can’t let him grow up without a parent by his side. I’ll be good, I promise. I won’t cause any trouble. Walker, please, just let me stay with Noah.”

”Pull her away.”

Walker Grant felt no compassion. He had said it coldly, then stepped forward and snatched Noah from Sunny Reed’s embrace.

”My son! My son!”

Sunny Reed shrieked, her voice tearing from her throat as her whole body trembled.

A bodyguard promptly restrained her, clamping a hand over her mouth so she could only make muffled, whimpering sounds.

”Mommy!”

Noah reached out his little hands, trying to grab hold of Sunny Reed, but Walker Grant simply carried him straight away.

He began to punch and kick at Walker Grant, wailing for his mommy.

Walker Grant’s brow furrowed. He shoved Noah into the car and watched him sob until he was gasping for air, then irritably yanked at his own collar.

”Keep crying, and you’ll never see her again.”

He threatened coldly, his sheer presence intimidating Noah into silence.

Noah’s tiny body was curled up in the corner, shaking with nonstop sobs as tears streamed down his face. He choked out, ”You’re a bad man! You’re mean to me now! WAAAH! You’re a bad man!”

Walker Grant got right out of the car, shutting out the sound of the child’s crying.

He walked over to Sunny Reed and looked into her pleading eyes. ”All those times you tried to get close to Noah,” he said coolly, ”did you really just intend to stay quietly by his side?”

Sunny Reed nodded frantically. ”Mmph... mmph...”

She wanted to speak, but with her mouth covered, she couldn’t make a sound.

But Walker Grant continued, ”But you endured within the Reed family for so many years just to get your revenge. I really can’t feel at ease with you by his side. What if you bide your time for another ten or twenty years and then corrupt Noah?”

Sunny Reed shook her head frantically, trying to convey that she wouldn’t.

Walker Grant watched her with cold indifference. ”I’m sending you abroad. If you behave, I’ll let you see Noah once a year.”

If she didn’t behave, she would never see her son again in her life.

Sunny Reed’s gaze went slack, and the strength of her struggles diminished. She stared at him in disbelief, then gradually fell silent.

’This man... he’s truly heartless.’

’Back then, when I was pregnant, he used to visit me. He would only stay to say a few words and then leave quickly, but at least at that time, he was gentle with me. He was respectful.’

’But now, in his eyes, I’m probably lower than a beggar on the street.’

’If it weren’t for Noah, he probably would have made me disappear from this world entirely, wouldn’t he?’

Panic flooded Sunny Reed’s heart, but it only strengthened her resolve.

Walker Grant had his men take Sunny Reed away and put her straight on a plane. Then, he returned to the car.

When Noah saw him, his small body flinched, and he muttered, ”Bad man... big bad man.”
