The Delicate Darling with Her Rough Man

After chatting for a bit about the excitement surrounding Yun Hao and Xu Wenwan’s wedding, Gu Jiaojiao and Chen JianShe moved on to other topics.

”Sister-in-law, I’m going to the County Town tomorrow to buy some things for the New Year. Is there anything you need?”

As it turned out, Gu Jiaojiao did.

She came out of the room with two sets of exquisite glass bottles painted with green bamboo. Chen JianShe had never seen anything like them.

Gu Jiaojiao placed the items inside two wooden boxes and said with a smile.

”This is the newest skincare I’ve made. It’s two hundred yuan a set. Please give them to Yuan Bin for me and let him handle the sales.”

This skincare product was more difficult to make than the facial soap. It had taken her several days just to produce two sets. It contained no additives; its shelf life was longer in the winter, but come summer, she would probably have to reduce the volume per container.

Chen JianShe had just taken the boxes when he heard the price Gu Jiaojiao announced, and he was so shocked he almost threw them.

’Two hundred a set?’

’Is she trying to rob people?’

Chen JianShe almost blurted the words out. But then he remembered the shampoo bars, which had sold out completely. People were still willing to pay a premium for them, yet his sister-in-law refused to make more. With that thought, Chen JianShe swallowed his words.

’He was starting to understand now. Everything his sister-in-law made was high-quality, so there was never any worry about sales. These two sets took many days to produce, much more difficult than the shampoo bars. Two hundred a set... doesn’t seem that expensive anymore.’

With that thought, Chen JianShe accepted it.

”Sister-in-law, don’t you worry. This skin... skincare product, I’ll deliver it tomorrow.”

「Early the next morning.」

The skincare products were delivered to Lu Yuanbin.

Just as Lu Yuanbin took them, Chen JianShe suddenly spoke up, ”Sister-in-law said they’re two hundred yuan a set.”

Lu Yuanbin’s hands shook, and he nearly dropped the boxes on the floor.

Seeing Lu Yuanbin have the same undignified reaction as he did, Chen JianShe laughed.

”Alright, I’ve made the delivery. I’m off.”

With that, he turned and left, giving Lu Yuanbin no chance to retort.

Lu Yuanbin was left speechless.

’Knowing Chen JianShe, that guy definitely did it on purpose. He must have embarrassed himself in front of Sister-in-law and came to me to feel better about it!’

’And I fell for it.’

Lu Yuanbin glanced at the boxes in his hands, a glint in his eyes.

People had gone crazy for the ten-yuan shampoo bars. Even now, people frequently came asking for them, clamoring to buy, but he had to turn them all away.

’The shampoo bars were even more effective than the facial soap. He was certain this two-hundred-yuan skincare product would be another hit that would conquer the wealthy.’

Lu Yuanbin already had someone in mind.

He’d heard that the wife of Zhang Tianming, Qingshan County’s top official, had her face ruined by a facial soap sold by Old Nine.

’According to the note on the box, this skincare product is for skin repair. It might be useful for Zhang Tianming’s wife.’

’As for the other set, I’ll hold onto it for now.’

Lu Yuanbin called over one of his men and sent him to the Zhang Family residence to deliver a message.

「The Zhang Residence.」

Zhu Wanqi stared at her bumpy, irritated face in the mirror. In a fit of anger, she hurled the bottle of facial oil in her hand to the floor. It wasn’t enough. She then swept everything off her vanity and onto the ground.

In an instant, bottles, jars, and all sorts of other items scattered across the floor.

Even a powder compact clattered open on the floor.

Zhu Wanqi used to love these things. They had been perfect for concealing minor blemishes. But now, faced with what could only be described as a disfigured face, they were completely useless. In fact, they only aggravated her allergic reaction.

Whenever she used any of these products on her face, she would feel a severe stinging pain, followed by a breakout of pimples.

In just a few short days, her face had become unbearable to look at.

Hearing the commotion from downstairs, Zhang Tianming immediately pushed the door open and walked in. He found Zhu Wanqi collapsed over the table, sobbing uncontrollably.
