Invincible Snake Emperor

Chapter 436: Chapter 432: The Tragic Death of a Rank 3 Creature (3)

Down inside the encirclement of monkeys, a member of the Wolf Fang Team was seized bare-handed by the Crimson Sun Giant Ape, lifted overhead, and torn apart. Flesh and blood flew, accompanied by severed limbs. The scene was utterly gruesome.

This was already the fourth person the Crimson Sun Ape had torn apart. With its Copper Skin and Iron Bones, its defense was astounding. It completely ignored the Wolf Fang Team’s attacks, simply grabbing a person and ripping them to shreds. It was like a Demon Lord of Mayhem, utterly without reason.

”It’s over... we’re finished...” The Wolf Fang Captain’s face was filled with terror. It had only been a minute, and they had already lost four team members.

This Ape King was even more terrifying than they had imagined—an unstoppable force. With its Copper Skin and Iron Bones, blades couldn’t even pierce its hide.

If three minutes passed, their Wolf Fang Team would likely be wiped out.

What he didn’t know was that the giant ape before them wasn’t the Ape King at all. If they knew that, their despair would be even greater.

Meanwhile, a thousand meters away in a thicket of bushes, a young Mixed Blood man watched, his heart pounding in terror, as the members of the Wolf Fang Team were torn apart one by one. For someone who had grown up sheltered, the scene nearly made him piss his pants.

He silently prayed for Elder Liu to grab the Monkey Wine and get out of there quickly.

He was starting to regret coming here.

Normally, for something so dangerous, a young master like him shouldn’t have come along. But this time, Young Master Qin had come to the Yaoling Mountain Range for training, and training went hand-in-hand with danger.

So, he had followed them in, even killing a fair number of monkeys along the way. But once they reached the heart of the territory, he went into hiding.

Because what came next wasn’t just dangerous—it was tantamount to shaking hands with death. His status was a noble one; it was already quite an accomplishment for him to have made it this far.

Now, all he could do was wait—wait for Elder Liu to emerge with the Monkey Wine and get him out of here.

’Wolf Fang Team, you useless bastards, hold on a little longer! Damn it, it’s only been a minute and you’ve already lost four people... no, it’s five now.’

Young Master Qin grew anxious. At the rate they were dying, there was no way they could last three minutes.

Suddenly... Young Master Qin froze. A blood-soaked figure flew out from the cave, crashing hard into the center of the monkeys’ battle ring.

To make matters worse, by a stroke of terrible luck, the blood-soaked figure landed right at the feet of the five-meter-tall giant ape.

’Elder Liu! It’s Elder Liu! How did he get thrown out of the cave?’ A terrible premonition welled up inside Young Master Qin.

There was no way he could have gotten the Monkey Wine and come out looking like that.

”Elder Liu, you...?!”

The Wolf Fang Captain, already fighting for his life, saw the figure crash at the Crimson Sun Ape’s feet. When he got a clear look, his face drained of color in shock, his eyes nearly popping out of his head.

Elder Liu struggled to sit up and immediately spat out a mouthful of blood. He was in a dazed, almost delirious state, his eyes staring blankly toward the cave entrance.

Just then, a lean, wiry figure appeared at the cave entrance. A cruel smile played on his lips, his disdain for all on full display.

Elder Liu looked from the figure at the cave entrance to the five-meter-tall giant ape before him, realization dawning. ”You’re not... He’s the real Ape King.”

”GAGA... Old fool, you thought you could just sneak in and get the Monkey Wine? You can’t even recognize the real Ape King, yet you dared to try and steal our Monkey Race’s wine? You’re just courting death.”

With that, the Crimson Sun Giant Ape lifted its foot and stomped down hard on Elder Liu. Elder Liu let out an inhuman scream of agony, on the verge of being crushed into a meat patty.

Beneath the massive foot, only his head was visible.

”Young Master, run! I can’t protect you anymore! Run!”

Pinned under the giant foot, Elder Liu was already half-dead. On his last breath, he suddenly yelled, mustering every last ounce of his strength.

”Old fool, still have the strength to shout? Then die!”

The Crimson Sun Giant Ape lifted its foot and stomped down again, hard. Instantly, all that remained was a bloody pulp. The great Elder Liu, a Rank Three Creature, had been stomped into oblivion—as dead as one could be.

The men of the Wolf Fang Team gasped, a collective sharp intake of breath. It was as if they’d been struck by lightning; their limbs went numb.

Everything had happened too fast. They were supposed to hold out for three minutes, but it had only been two, and now Elder Liu had died an inexplicable and brutal death right before their eyes.

Their struggle was now meaningless. Elder Liu’s death had also extinguished their last ray of hope.

”Now it’s your turn to die,” the Crimson Sun Giant Ape sneered, turning its vicious gaze to the remaining Wolf Fang Team members after crushing Elder Liu.

”No, please, don’t kill us! We’ll leave Monkey Mountain right away! Just don’t kill us!”

RRRRIP...

In an instant, flesh and blood flew as the Crimson Sun Giant Ape brutally slaughtered the Wolf Fang Team, one by one.

A thousand meters away, Young Master Qin trembled uncontrollably when he heard Elder Liu’s final cry to run. His face turned ashen as he witnessed his protector’s horrific death.

’How could this be? How could this be? Elder Liu was so powerful, how could he die just like that?’

’A Rank Three Creature seems as fragile as paper mâché.’

Spurred by Elder Liu’s shout, a large number of awakened monkeys began searching the surroundings. Was there another human hiding?

’Find them. They must be found. Anyone who trespassed on Monkey Mountain today must die.’

Terrified, Young Master Qin crouched in the thicket, his face deathly pale, not daring to move a muscle. He could feel cold sweat trickling down his spine.

’I can’t be found. If they find me, I’ll die a horrible death. I’m of noble birth, born with a silver spoon in my mouth. To die here would be the greatest injustice of all.’

’Elder Liu is dead, and the Wolf Fang Team was torn to pieces. If I’m discovered, I’ll probably be ripped apart by that giant ape too.’

Fear. The fear of death was suffocating Young Master Qin. He was so tense he didn’t dare move a single finger.

But just then, a mocking voice sounded right beside his ear.

”Hello, Young Master Qin.”

He froze at the words, swallowed hard a few times, and woodenly raised his head. He saw a handsome face with a devilishly charming smile.

He recognized the face, but that didn’t matter right now. He immediately made a shushing gesture, signaling for the other person to be quiet.

”Hello to you too,” the person replied, seemingly oblivious to the gesture, continuing with a blankly innocent expression.

Young Master Qin’s face darkened. ’Hello, my ass! What part of this is good? I’m about to die!’

”Quiet, not another word! Get down! If those monkeys find us, we’re both dead!”

”What? Who’s going to die?”

”Just shut up and get down!”

The other person said stubbornly, ”I said hello to you. It’s rude not to say hello back.”

Young Master Qin was utterly baffled. ”...”

’My life is hanging by a thread, and you’re worried about *that*? Are you fucking insane?’

”If you don’t say hello back, I’m going to shout,” the person threatened.

Young Master Qin was scared out of his wits. He waved his hands frantically. ”Don’t shout! Please, I’m begging you! If the monkeys find us, you won’t get out of this alive either!”

”Fine.” The person fell silent. Young Master Qin breathed a quiet sigh of relief. ’Good, we weren’t discovered,’ he thought.

”HELLO, YOUNG MASTER QIN!” A fat man who looked to be several hundred pounds appeared, his greeting booming like a great bell.

Young Master Qin despaired. ’For fuck’s sake!’

’What the hell is with this fat and thin duo? Do they have any idea what’s going on?’

”Someone’s over there!”

The awakened monkeys began to chatter and screech. A series of leaping shadows charged toward the thicket.

”Haha... Good luck, Young Master Qin,” Tu Xiao’an laughed, then rose into the air with the Bull Demon King.

A dozen seconds later, Young Master Qin was surrounded by a mob of awakened monkeys. He let out an inhuman scream. He didn’t even have a chance to struggle; he had only just reached the Rank Two level.
