Starting With an SSS-Rank Swordsmanship Talent

Meanwhile in Midgard.

Yvanna was inside Alaric’s study, going over various documents related to the affairs of the city.

“Luckily I have you here. Otherwise, it would have taken me months to complete everything.” The elven princess sighed as she looked at the beautiful Veronican woman sitting adjacent to her desk.

It was Mathilda, the woman who had recently been promoted as Alaric’s assistant.

Yvanna held strong prejudice against her, but after interacting with her in the last few days, they became a lot closer and she now considered Mathilda as her friend.

Mathilda lifted her head and smiled at her. “You overpraise me, Miss. With your skills, you can handle these things well even without me.”

Yvanna chuckled at her words. “You are getting better at flattering people. Did you learn that from him?”

“I’m speaking the truth, Miss,” Mathilda replied cautiously. This content belongs to novel·fıre·net

“Mathilda, you don’t need to be formal. There is no one here so you can speak freely with me.” Yvanna sighed.

“I wouldn’t dare. I may have become His Highness’ assistant, but I am still a servant of House Silversword. Please forgive me for disobeying you, Miss.” Mathilda replied with a look of difficulty.

“Fine. Whatever makes you feel comfortable.” Yvanna didn’t force her.

At this moment, a series of knocks on the door interrupted their conversation.

Knock. Knock. Knock.

Yvanna turned her head and cleared her throat. “You may come in.”

Creak.

Galanar stepped inside the room and lowered his head. “Miss, someone is outside the mansion claiming to be a servant of His Highness. I already sent someone to verify their identity. Do you want me to send them here once their identity has been confirmed?”

Hearing this, Yvanna raised an eyebrow.

Send them here, but don’t let them bring any weapons.” She answered.

“I understand.” Galanar nodded and left right away.

After he left, Yvanna leaned on her seat. “Who could it be?”

Mathilda suddenly thought of someone and mumbled with uncertainty.

“Could it be her?”

Hearing this, Yvanna stared at her inquisitively. “Do you know something?”

Mathilda shook her head. “I’m not sure, Miss. Do you remember the servant who was always with me? The female Knight with big breasts.”

She described the physical characteristics of the person in her mind.

Yvanna thought for a moment and she seemed to have recalled a certain individual. “I seem to remember someone like that. Wasn’t she a Knight of Harune? What was her name again?”

“Celine. Her name is Celine.” Mathilda smiled faintly.

Yvanna raised an eyebrow and asked. “Can we trust her?”

Mathilda took a deep breath and responded. “When His Highness left Astania to march here with the Astanian army, Celine left North Pine Town to look for her family here in Harune. They should have escaped the war. She must have come here after hearing that His Highness is here.”

“Miss, I have only known Celine for a few months. She was forced into slavery after their army lost in the battle of Aklan Pass.”

“At first, she didn’t like the thought of becoming a slave to a prince of Astania, but she gradually accepted her fate.”

“I don’t know what happened to her since she left North Pine Town. Why don’t we talk with her and see it for ourselves?”

“Alright.” Yvanna wasn’t worried about her safety. With Galanar around, nothing would happen unless the enemy was a Venerable.

Half an hour later, Galanar stepped inside the room with a woman dressed in a Knight’s uniform.

Looking at the female Knight, Yvanna beckoned to her and pointed at the seat in front of Mathilda.

“Sit down and tell me what’s going on.”

Celine looked around the room, but she didn’t find the familiar figure she was looking for.

She saw Mathilda who was waving enthusiastically at her to which she responded with a forced smile.

After taking her seat, she told them her story.

According to Celine, she managed to warn her family before the war began. She took them to a secluded village to avoid the war.

When she heard about the situation in Midgard, she immediately headed here with her family, hoping to bring them back with her to North Pine Town.

Yvanna stared deeply at her. This woman was pitiful. She was a war prisoner who was forced into slavery.

With a light smile, Yvanna said. “It must have been a rough journey. Alaric is still not here so I will arrange an accommodation for you and your family. As for whether you can return to North Pine Town, I will try to speak with him about it.”

Hearing this, Celine felt a wave of relief. “Thank you, Miss! Thank you very much!”

Just to get here, they encountered numerous obstacles. There was even a time when she almost lost a member of her family when they encountered a group of pillagers. They only managed to get away after she killed them all.

Unknowingly, she found herself crying.

Mathilda quickly rushed to her side and hugged her tightly. “It’s alright. Everything will be fine, Celine. You did a good job coming here safely.”

Yvanna watched this scene with a complicated sigh.

Suddenly, Galanar who was standing motionless at the door rushed to the window, with an alarmed expression.

The ladies sensed his unusual reaction and became worried.

“Sir Galanar, what happened?” Asked Yvanna as she rose to her feet.

Galanar narrowed his eyes and replied with a grim look. “I sense a powerful aura approaching Midgard and it’s moving so fast.”

Hearing this, the ladies panicked.

Yvanna was the first one to calm down. “We need to alert the army! We need to inform them at once!”

“Hold on… this aura…” Galanar raised a hand, signaling them to wait.

A moment later, his expression eased up as he said.

“It’s them… His Highness is back with the others.”

As if to confirm his words, they heard a beastly roar coming from the distance.

Roaarr!!

The eyes of the ladies lit up upon hearing this.
