Love Strategy: CEO He is Really Scheming！

Chapter 426: Chapter 426: Ariel Morris, Hold On! [1]

Unexpectedly, his mother revealed everything.

Ariel knew that the disk she got in exchange for her attempted suicide eight years ago was fake and would then guess that the Morris Family used the disk to extort fifty million from him. These truths—how cruel they are to Ariel!

Upon learning these, she disappeared, her phone was turned off, and a sudden fear gripped Arlo Seys’s heart.

Arlo Seys paused for a moment, pursing his lips as he asked in a deep voice, ”Mom, how long has it been since you parted with Ariel at the café?”

”Almost three hours now.”

”Alright, I got it. Mom, I’m hanging up.”

”Wait—Arlo! Ariel—she didn’t return to Era? So, where did she go? Arlo, did I do something wrong today? Say something wrong?”

Arlo Seys sighed, ”It’s alright, Mom, Ariel would’ve found out sooner or later. Let me find her first. Don’t bring these things up again in the future.”

”Alright.”

Arlo Seys hung up the phone and dialed the landline at Royal View City, but no one answered. He stood by the floor-to-ceiling window, repeatedly calling Ariel Morris’s cell phone, but it was always turned off.

Arlo Seys could no longer stay calm and walked out briskly.

No! He must find Ariel! Ariel must be very hurt and upset right now; if anything happens to her, what should he do?

Ariel, keep calm; you’re pregnant, don’t act impulsively! Ariel, the fifty million means nothing to me; I wouldn’t possibly blame you—I just want you to be well.

Arlo Seys got into his car, floored the accelerator, and drove toward the Morris Family home.

Cold, the icy cold invaded Ariel Morris’s very bones like a blade, sharp and painful. Under such dual torment of suffering, the fainting Ariel Morris slowly forced her eyes open, her pupils somewhat glazed and unfocused.

She strained to open a small slit of her heavy eyelids, her vision gradually cleared, and she only then realized that she had indeed been placed in the bathtub by the Morris siblings. And the cold feeling on her body was because she was soaked in the bathtub’s cold water.

The water was tinged with a faint red, and the color was deepening.

The glazed eyes of Ariel Morris turned to her left wrist’s antique silver bracelet, staring intently, her lips eventually drawing into a sad smile.

The scar on her left wrist seemed like a greater mockery, making her already pale face three shades whiter.

Her gaze stayed fixed on the antique silver bracelet, suddenly she bit her lip hard, whispering powerlessly, ”Arlo—I know—you will definitely find me, and I’m—waiting for you,—Arlo, I still owe you a... sorry.”

She thought her suicidal threat forced Damien Morris and Laura Pinley to give up their scheme in exchange for the disk. But—today she realized she overestimated the value of her own life and underestimated the Morris couple’s ruthless, despicable hearts.

Ariel Morris lay in the bathtub’s cold water, her face growing paler, her breathing and pulse increasingly faint. The wound on her head, and the blood trickling down her cheek, had solidified, contributing to her snow-white pallor, giving the scene a somewhat shocking appearance.

Ariel Morris’s consciousness gradually slipped into a foggy stupor again, her fingers exerting every ounce of strength to pinch her palm, little by little with great effort.

Ariel Morris, don’t sleep, you have to hold on, hold on until Arlo comes, hold on until he finds you.

Ariel Morris, you promised Arlo to walk through life together with him; you must persevere.

Ariel Morris, hold on; those who harmed you haven’t been punished yet. How can you close your eyes and leave this world?!
