Urban Supreme Evil Young Master

Being embraced so suddenly by Leng Qingqiu, Lu Yu seemed a bit at a loss, as it was the first time Leng Qingqiu had responded to him so proactively.

”Qingqiu... you...”

He spoke full of confusion, Lu Yu’s words were filled with heaviness and hesitation. He could clearly feel that Leng Qingqiu was holding him now, her frail arms trembling uncontrollably, yet hugging him tightly.

All along, Leng Qingqiu gave Lu Yu the impression of being cold and distant, always rejecting him from afar, which was something Lu Yu felt acutely five years ago.

And now, Leng Qingqiu’s proactive move to embrace him indeed left Lu Yu very surprised.

If he couldn’t feel Leng Qingqiu’s trembling body, he would have thought he was still dreaming of five years ago.

”I was wrong...”

Having heard Lu Yu’s words, Leng Qingqiu spoke up, clutching Lu Yu tightly, her voice slightly choked up: ”Five years ago, I shouldn’t have treated you like that, nor should I have doubted your feelings for me...”

As she spoke, Leng Qingqiu’s voice carried a trace of heaviness, with a hint of choking: ”When you returned, I shouldn’t have treated you that way either...”

Five years ago, Leng Qingqiu avoided any contact with Lu Yu if possible, avoiding meetings if she could. If not for their families being long-time friends, there wouldn’t have been any connection between them.

Later on, even when Lu Yu pursued her, Leng Qingqiu responded with cold indifference.

At that time, Leng Qingqiu was dismissive of Lu Yu’s pursuit because she had heard about his previous actions.

Thus, Leng Qingqiu always viewed Lu Yu with contempt, thinking he was just a rogue chasing after her, without genuine feelings.

For this reason, Leng Qingqiu always looked down on Lu Yu!

This sentiment lingered in Leng Qingqiu’s mind for five years. Even after Lu Yu’s disappearance and subsequent return, her impression of him remained unchanged!

Because Lu Yu’s reckless, rogue persona had been deeply etched in her mind five years ago, a perception not easily altered!

However, these emotions gradually dissipated due to Lu Yu’s actions during this period.

Especially just now, when Lu Yu used his body to block a combined attack from Max and Jis for her, his charred appearance after the incident jolted her awake.

It turned out that this notorious rogue from Lin’an City five years ago actually had genuine feelings when it came to her!

These feelings, even after Lu Yu experienced storms and witnessed the darkness of human nature, remained unaltered.

Only now did Leng Qingqiu understand a saying she had seen online: A person can be as serious as he is frivolous!

For this reason, when she saw Lu Yu unharmed before her, she could no longer suppress her emotions, rushing over to embrace him tightly.

After all, someone who protected her for five years, unfazed by storms and changes, was truly rare!

”Why are you crying?”

Hearing the choky sound in Leng Qingqiu’s voice, Lu Yu spoke softly, his tone carrying a hint of lightness, yet there was a trace of tenderness in his words as he looked at her.

”I’m so glad you’re okay.”

Hearing Lu Yu’s words, Leng Qingqiu spoke up now, her voice soft but tinged with joy amidst her choked sobs.

She had seen Lu Yu’s bloodied and charred body just now, so she was incredibly concerned about him now.

”Of course, I’m okay.”

Seeing Leng Qingqiu in front of him, Lu Yu said, ”Those clowns were nothing, not enough to be fearful of!”

His voice carried a note of disdain, having dismissed Max and the others without a second thought.

”But you just...”

Hearing Lu Yu’s words, Leng Qingqiu spoke, her eyes filled with sorrow. His bloodied appearance just now truly terrified her.

”I’m fine.”

At those words, Lu Yu smiled slightly and said, ”Haven’t I recovered already?”

Lu Yu spoke to Leng Qingqiu as if soothing a child, his voice soft, contrasting starkly with his usual mischievousness, revealing a depth of feeling that couldn’t be hidden.

Five years ago, Lu Yu truly loved Leng Qingqiu deeply, but unfortunately, at that time, it was a one-sided love, ending with the ruin of his family.

Afterwards, Lu Yu wandered for five years, undergoing unimaginable experiences, which made him mature and profound.

Lu Yu once thought that amidst the bloodshed and darkness, his feelings had all but faded, but when he saw Leng Qingqiu being strangled just now, his surge of anger made him realize.

All these years, his feelings for Leng Qingqiu had remained unchanged.

These feelings, even hidden deep during his five-year exile, were unchanged and undiminished.

”Just then...”

Hearing Lu Yu’s words, Leng Qingqiu looked at him, biting her lips gently with her white teeth before speaking: ”Did it hurt?”

”It hurt.”

At her words, Lu Yu smiled slightly, then with a change of tone, said, ”But I’m used to it...”

”Why did you shield me? Aren’t you afraid of not being able to withstand such an attack?”

Leng Qingqiu wasn’t foolish; the combined attack from Jis and Max was truly terrifying, prompting her to question Lu Yu now.

”So what if I couldn’t withstand it?”

At Leng Qingqiu’s words, Lu Yu flashed a faint smile of helplessness, saying, ”I can’t help it; I just couldn’t stand seeing you get hurt, you know?”

Lu Yu’s voice carried a hint of resignation, yet every word was genuine.

In that moment, Lu Yu genuinely couldn’t bear to see Leng Qingqiu hurt.

For in his heart, Leng Qingqiu still held the same place she did five years ago, unchanging in the slightest.
