Urban Supreme Evil Young Master

”What are you staring for?! Weren’t you planning to call for backup?”

Staring at Canterbury frozen in place, Lu Yu curled his lips into a sinister smile and spoke coldly, ”The phone is right in your hand, call!”

As he spoke, Lu Yu’s voice was extremely deep and icy, giving an impression of solemnity.

Upon hearing this, Canterbury immediately knelt before Lu Yu, staring at Lu Yu’s phone in his hand, momentarily unsure of what to do.

In the past, as long as he invoked his family’s name to handle matters like this, the opposition would immediately give in and soften.

Yet now, the other party was actually inviting him to make the call for backup, which Canterbury had never encountered before!

”What are you standing there for? Didn’t you hear me?”

Seeing Canterbury frozen in place, Lu Yu spoke coldly, ”Weren’t you going to call your family? The phone is in your hand now, call for backup!”

As he spoke, Lu Yu’s gaze was full of ridicule, as if he were a cat playing with a mouse, filled with contempt.

He was utterly disdainful of Canterbury’s act of calling for backup.

Canterbury’s jaw tightened, his expression revealing a trace of icy pride as he glared at Lu Yu, his eyes flashing with cold fury.

From a young age, due to his family’s influence, he has always been an outstanding presence, with everyone he meets treating him with the utmost respect, especially after he acquired the title of Viscount a few years ago.

Outside, he no longer needed to declare his family’s identity; just his title was enough to make people back down!

But now, Lu Yu not only showed no fear of his identity, but even showed no fear of his family’s influence, a behavior that infuriated Canterbury.

”Since you’re courting death, I’ll make it happen for you!”

With that thought, Canterbury coldly said, his words tinged with chill, and directly dialed a string of numbers from Lu Yu’s phone, waiting for the call to connect, he said, ”This is Canterbury, I’ve been attacked in Newman Group’s lobby, bring people here immediately!”

His words carried a trace of savagery, projecting a profound anger.

”Understood, Lord Canterbury”

Hearing his words, a deep male voice came through the phone, tinged with a trace of respect.

”Also, remember this number, and immediately investigate all interpersonal relationships connected to it; I want to know every connection of this arrogant kid!”

As a Viscount with genuine wealthy lineage, Canterbury had considerable insight, so in his anger, he still kept a sharp mind.

Knowing that there are typically only two kinds of people who show such disregard regardless of one’s identity and family power.

The first type is families with even larger backgrounds and stronger power, at least matching his family.

The second type doesn’t have a powerful family but possesses the strength of a Dragon, whose towering strength disregards local powers and organizations without concern.

Observing Lu Yu’s actions and that imposing aura earlier, Canterbury could almost affirm that Lu Yu clearly belonged to the latter.

Precisely for this reason, Canterbury decided to investigate this phone number, wanting to unravel who Lu Yu really was, just in case.

”Lu Yu”

Upon hearing Canterbury’s words, Leng Qingqiu looked at Lu Yu, gently tugged on Lu Yu’s sleeve, and said, ”Why did you give him your phone? He’s going to investigate your information; how will you handle it?”

Her words carried a trace of worry, as Canterbury’s evident distinguished identity concerned Leng Qingqiu about Lu Yu’s situation.

”No need to worry”

After hearing Leng Qingqiu’s concern, Lu Yu smiled slightly and said, ”We don’t have to worry about this; as soon as he makes the call, someone will inevitably help us handle this matter!”

His face was full of confidence, showing utter calmness regarding Canterbury’s investigation into his affairs.

”Someone will handle this for us?”

Facing Lu Yu’s words, Leng Qingqiu’s face showed traces of confusion, ”Lu Yu, what exactly is going on?”

Leng Qingqiu was completely baffled, not understanding how Canterbury’s plea for help would inevitably attract attention to handle the situation.

”Don’t rush”

Seeing Leng Qingqiu’s confusion, Lu Yu smiled slightly, his gaze sinking as he addressed Canterbury, kneeling and held by the arm, speaking calmly, ”You’ll know when the time comes.”

His gaze was playful, as if waiting for something interesting to happen.

Hearing Lu Yu, Leng Qingqiu nodded, trusting him and deciding not to pursue the matter further.

”Kid, just you wait!”

Having finished the call, Canterbury threw Lu Yu’s phone back, speaking coldly, ”With my family’s power, within an hour, every detail about you will be uncovered. You’ll regret your actions!”

His words carried icy menace, causing chills to run down one’s spine.

”Really?”

Reaching out effortlessly, Lu Yu caught the phone thrown his way, lifting his gaze, he calmly stated, ”Then I’m quite looking forward to what happens next.”

As he spoke, a sinister smile slowly creeped across his calm face, full of confidence and anticipation for what was to come.
