Urban Supreme Evil Young Master

The next day, at dusk.

Lu Yu sat at his own desk in the security department, stretched broadly, and looked at the clock on the wall in front of him, noticing it was now six o’clock in the afternoon, half an hour before the end of his workday.

Seeing this, Lu Yu couldn’t help but smile. He immediately went to sit beside the computer, wanting to browse the internet for some amusing stories to pass the remaining half hour.

Buzz!

However, at that very moment, the phone in the security department suddenly rang, its noisy sound seeming particularly intrusive in the otherwise quiet office.

Upon hearing the phone ring, Lu Yu’s eyebrow slightly furrowed, feeling quite surprised.

It’s important to note that the security department is one of the most relaxed parts of Victory Group, with so few calls that you can count them on one hand; and now, with half an hour left before finishing work, the phone suddenly rang, which indeed made Lu Yu very surprised.

Thinking of this, Lu Yu glanced at the phone, finding it showed an unknown caller.

With half an hour left until getting off work, a sudden unknown call, such an occurrence truly took Lu Yu by surprise.

Thinking of this, Lu Yu shook his head, picked up the receiver, positioned it next to his ear, and promptly said, ”Victory Group Security Department.”

”Is this Manager Lu?”

As soon as the call connected, an icy electronic voice emerged instantly, rendering the caller’s identity unrecognizable.

Upon hearing this, Lu Yu’s heart subtly stirred. It’s known that calls made with such a voice are often by those who don’t want their identity recognized.

However, if someone doesn’t wish to be identified, it usually means there’s an unspeakable secret involved!

Thinking of this, Lu Yu coldly chuckled, immediately responding, ”It’s me, what can I help you with?”

Lu Yu wished to know why this caller was being so secretive with this call, what was the aim.

”We have a special gift placed in the alley behind Victory Group’s building, so we called to request Mr. Lu to retrieve it personally.”

Their voice, due to interference, made identification nearly impossible, so even Lu Yu could not determine who they were at that moment.

”Oh?”

Upon hearing this, Lu Yu uttered a slight question, his mouth subtly curling up as he said, ”If it’s a gift, why not deliver it directly to me? Such secretive actions seem rather improper.”

In his tone, Lu Yu’s voice was deep, carrying a hint of playful intent.

”Hehehe”

Upon hearing Lu Yu’s words, the voice on the line grew more eerie: ”This gift is rather special, requiring Manager Lu’s personal retrieval.”

After saying this, the voice paused slightly, then continued, ”So, is Manager Lu afraid?”

In the dialogue, the voice on the phone gradually revealed threads of provocation, giving an unpleasant feeling.

”That’s not the case,”

Upon hearing this, Lu Yu smiled slightly, a hint of a grin appeared on his face, a flicker of brilliance shone in his eyes as he said, ”Since you put it this way, I will go see what exactly you’re gifting this time.”

Lu Yu knew now that the caller intended no good, but what must come cannot be avoided; the fact that they contacted him indicated they had some understanding of him.

Under such a premise, there’s no need for concealment; it’s better to understand what they are plotting!

With that said, Lu Yu hung up the phone and stepped towards the outside of Victory Group.

Outside of Victory Group, Lu Yu glanced at the clouds dyed blood-red by the sunset, smiling slightly, his face flashing a faint cold grin.

Then, he turned and headed towards the alley behind the Victory Group building.

The tall buildings of Victory Group rose skyward, occupying a large area. Even during daytime, the alley behind them was particularly eerie and narrow.

At this moment, Lu Yu arrives within this alley, noticing its particularly desolate look, with a silver metal box at the end, standing out starkly.

Clearly, that silver metal box is what the caller referred to as the special gift.

Seeing this silver briefcase, Lu Yu didn’t rush forward. The surrounding desolation and narrowness paired with such an eye-catching briefcase being here seemed truly strange.

Observing this, Lu Yu’s eyes slightly narrowed, instinctively glancing upwards, with a deep smile surfacing on his face.

This narrow, shadowy alley, surrounded by towering buildings with no other exits, is essentially just a dead-end.

This dead-end, coupled with the surrounding building obstructions blocking sunlight, is practically an ideal spot for confrontations!

Screech!

Just as Lu Yu was thinking this, suddenly a sharp braking sound rang out. He looked back to see a delivery van blocking the alley entrance, sealing off the entire dead-end!

Upon seeing this, Lu Yu frowned slightly, an ominous expression appearing on his face.

Clearly, things are as he suspected; the gift is a ruse; a real assault is unfolding!

Bam!

At that moment, the delivery van’s back doors suddenly opened, and four robust men charged out, their hands darting into their pockets, evidently reaching for something.

Observing this, Lu Yu’s brow tensed. Looking at these men, his fists gradually clenched, his gaze revealing a sliver of icy intent.

Four burly men surrounded him in this deep alley; while they had no apparent weapons, it was clear they were reaching for guns!

Click! Click! Click!

As a sequence of crisp sounds occurred, suddenly these four men drew four silenced pistols from their pockets, approaching Lu Yu fiercely.

”Manager Lu, how about now?”

At this moment, with the four men confronting Lu Yu, one of them—a man with a face full of coarse flesh—coldly grinned, speaking, ”Do you like this gift?”

In their words, the men’s faces were filled with mocking smiles, evoking a chilling feeling.
