Urban Supreme Evil Young Master

On the second morning, LA City’s sky was clear, with not a cloud in sight, exposing a pristine stretch of sky.

As usual, Lu Yu woke up early, and after diligently washing up and having breakfast, he headed straight out the door, ready to drive to work.

However, just as he was stepping out and locking the front door, he saw Meng Yue coming out at that moment.

Currently, Meng Yue was wearing a police uniform, her brows slightly furrowed, looking at her phone as she walked, a hint of urgency showing between her brows.

Seeing Meng Yue dressed like this, Lu Yu’s expression slightly froze, a trace of doubt appearing on his face.

Did the LA City Police Department not give Meng Yue a week off? It’s only been a few days, and she’s already wearing the police uniform again.

Could it be that something has happened recently?

Thinking of this, Lu Yu was slightly startled, and then he spoke to Meng Yue: ”Beauty, why are you wearing the police uniform again? Aren’t you on vacation?”

In his words, Lu Yu spoke lightly, with a hint of inquiry.

”Lu Yu, you came at the right time!”

Hearing Lu Yu’s voice, Meng Yue was slightly surprised, then she said: ”Can you drive me to the LA City Geographic Research Institute?”

LA City Geographic Research Institute?

After hearing this, Lu Yu’s body froze, an ominous feeling instantly crept into his mind!

Wasn’t that the research institute affiliated with Professor Zhang Qiren?

Could it be that something happened to Zhang Qiren?

”No problem.”

Hearing Meng Yue’s words, Lu Yu said: ”But can you tell me what exactly happened?”

In between the words, Lu Yu’s expression remained unchanged, but inside, there was a hint of doubt.

He also wanted to know what had happened at the LA City Geographic Research Institute.

”Professor Zhang Qiren from the LA City Geographic Research Institute was murdered last night in the institute.”

Due to having a certain understanding of Lu Yu, Meng Yue did not hesitate and directly disclosed the details of the case to Lu Yu: ”The colleagues at the police station are all tied up, so they could only end my vacation early and have me take charge of this case!”

Indeed!

After hearing Meng Yue’s words, a sharp light flashed in Lu Yu’s eyes, and he silently said in his heart.

Leng Qingqiu just recently had Zhang Qiren investigate that patch of shadow, and now Zhang Qiren has been killed in the geographic research institute. If this is a coincidence, Lu Yu would never believe it!

It must be that Zhang Qiren discovered something, which led to him being directly executed!

Thinking of this, Lu Yu snapped out of his thoughts, and at this moment, he said to Meng Yue: ”No problem, I’ll take you there right away!”

Saying that, Lu Yu and Meng Yue entered the elevator, heading straight downstairs, and then drove towards the LA City Geographic Research Institute.

Lu Yu now also wanted to know how Zhang Qiren died!

Moments later, Lu Yu and Meng Yue directly arrived at the entrance of the LA City Geographic Research Institute. At the entrance, the institute had been completely cordoned off with police tape, and two detectives stood at the door with very serious expressions.

Seeing the scene before him, Lu Yu furrowed his brows, then he slowly stopped the car and said to Meng Yue beside him: ”Beauty, I’d like to go in and take a look at the body, is that okay?”

In between the words, Lu Yu’s tone was extremely low, carrying a hint of gravity.

The current Lu Yu had already faintly sensed that something was wrong, and now he just wanted to see Zhang Qiren’s body!

Once he saw Zhang Qiren’s body, Lu Yu could confirm whether the idea in his mind was truly valid!

Hearing Lu Yu’s words, Meng Yue was slightly dazed, and upon seeing the expression on Lu Yu’s face, she nodded and then said: ”No problem, but you can only look, do not touch the scene recklessly.”

”No problem!”

Hearing Meng Yue’s words, Lu Yu nodded and said: ”I definitely won’t interfere!”

If it really is as he thinks it is, he doesn’t need to touch anything, just seeing it will confirm the thought in his mind!

”In that case,”

Hearing Lu Yu’s words, Meng Yue nodded, then opened the car door and said: ”Follow me then.”

In principle, such heinous crimes, police would normally not allow anyone to enter the scene casually. However, since Lu Yu had helped Meng Yue multiple times, and given his notably grave expression, Meng Yue agreed this time.

Upon hearing this, Lu Yu did not hesitate, immediately opened the car door, and got out along with Meng Yue, walking towards the geographic research institute in front of them.

...

With Meng Yue leading the way, Lu Yu easily arrived inside the geographic research institute. As soon as he came upon the hallway leading to Zhang Qiren’s office, a thick scent of blood struck him!

Detecting such a strong scent of blood, Lu Yu and Meng Yue’s brows furrowed simultaneously.

It’s known that being able to smell such a heavy scent of blood, there must be a significant amount of blood at the scene!

Thinking of this, Lu Yu and Meng Yue exchanged glances and headed directly for Zhang Qiren’s office.

At this moment, the closer they got to Zhang Qiren’s office, the stronger the scent of blood became. In the end, it even had a stinging odor!

Even Meng Yue, who had a considerable amount of experience in handling cases, was secretly shocked, wondering how large the bloodstain must be for the scent to be so overwhelming?

With that thought, she and Lu Yu quickened their pace, heading for Zhang Qiren’s office.

However, just as they arrived at the entrance to Zhang Qiren’s office, Meng Yue was completely stunned!

Inside the office ahead, at a glance, Zhang Qiren was hanging upside down from the office ceiling, with a shocking wound on his throat, around the wound was already dried blood.

The scene was terrifying, a glance left one utterly astonished!

Zhang Qiren’s body, at this moment, displayed a ghastly pale color, devoid of any blood. Underneath him was a large pool of blood that had long since congealed and dried!

Clearly, Zhang Qiren had been hung on the ceiling and drained of all his blood to death!

The scene before them was cruel, bloody, and extremely visually striking. Even Meng Yue, who had handled many violent cases, was deeply shocked upon seeing this!

Bloodletting murder, such a method, was something Meng Yue had never seen since she joined the police!

Compared to Meng Yue’s utterly astonished expression, Lu Yu appeared exceptionally calm.

Because the scene was far too familiar to him!
