I, the Destined Villain, Start by Controlling the Saint

Hatred, stealing the dayNine Swords to Eliminate the Saint was Sword Changkong’s Revered Master’s signature technique; at that time, there were still vacant Saintly Positions.

Rumor has it that he used this set of sword moves to defeat all Prodigies of his generation, sweeping away all opposition, and attained the Saintly Way.

Nine Swords to Eliminate the Saint was initially a Daoist Immortal Sword Art created by Sword Changkong’s Revered Master before he became a Saint, by extensively studying sword manuals from all over the world and integrating the strengths of various Schools.

After he became a Saint, he improved it, gradually perfecting it and elevating it to a Saintly Art.

Initially, it was not called Nine Swords to Eliminate the Saint, but rather: Nine Spirit Devouring Swords.

This sword move was renowned for its unparalleled Killing Intent, capable of killing people invisibly and severing Karma, so much so that even a Saint, if they died under this move, could not undergo Reincarnation and would completely dissipate.

When Sword Changkong’s Revered Master had just become a Saint, he was incredibly arrogant.

A disciple of another Saint offended him and was captured by him, then extinguished by the Nine Swords to Eliminate the Saint, severing his Karma; even when that Saint visited, he couldn’t save his disciple.

The two parties formed an enmity and engaged in a fierce battle.

The opponent was a Saint who had achieved sainthood five epochs ago, while he had just stepped into the Saintly Way, so no one believed he could win.

But even with a difference of several epochs, Sword Changkong’s Revered Master successfully beheaded that Saint, removing him from his Saintly Position.

After this battle, the reputation of these Nine Spirit Devouring Swords spread throughout the Void Realm, and it was called Nine Swords to Eliminate the Saint by all living beings, because it had truly eliminated a Saint.

Just as everyone thought that Sword Changkong’s Revered Master had pushed the Dao of the Sword to its extreme, to contend with the Sword Ancestor, he stopped making moves.

He even sealed his accompanying Saint Sword for a time. His arrogance was gone, and he chose to cultivate in a low-key manner.

All Cultivators in the Void Realm did not understand why he chose to stop when he could clearly become the pinnacle of the Dao of the Sword.

Sword Changkong also did not understand; he once asked his Revered Master why he didn’t become the Ancestral Master of the Dao of the Sword, the ancestor of all swordsmanship in the Void Realm.

Sword Changkong only remembered his Revered Master looking bewildered and helplessly telling him, “There are always people beyond people, and heavens beyond heavens. There is already a Sword Ancestor in this world.”

Sword Changkong then said, “Then Revered Master, why don’t you duel the Sword Ancestor and see who is superior?”

Sword Changkong listened expectantly for the answer, but his Revered Master only shook his head and sighed, saying, “Alas, I can only say that I am not as skilled as him.”

Sword Changkong was bewildered, for his arrogant Revered Master to utter words like “not as skilled as him.”

What kind of oppressive feeling did that Sword Ancestor give his Revered Master, making him unable to even conceive of resistance?

But even so, his Revered Master’s Nine Swords to Eliminate the Saint remained the supreme sword killing move in his heart.

Sword Changkong slightly closed his eyes, and when he opened them again, his long hair fluttered, and a mysterious, ethereal, terrifying aura permeated his body, with Killing Intent surging in his eyes.

He placed his long sword in front of him, then let go, and the long sword floated silently in the air.

As he performed his incantations, the Sword Intent on his body grew more turbulent, and the long sword floating before him suddenly expanded at that moment, transforming into billions.

Ye Feng’s eyes widened; this sword move felt familiar.

“It’s him! What is your relationship with him?!”

Ye Feng exclaimed in surprise, seemingly recognizing whose sword art this was.

Sword Changkong floated indifferently and emotionlessly in the air, with a humanoid phantom appearing behind him, which was actually his Revered Master.

Seeing this blurry phantom, Ye Feng finally confirmed that Sword Changkong must be related to that person.

“Nine Swords to Eliminate the Saint, good!”

“Since you’re connected to him, you’re dead today.”

The Killing Intent in Ye Feng’s eyes solidified, as if he had seen his father’s murderer, wishing he could cut Sword Changkong into a thousand pieces.

Sword Changkong paid no heed, unleashing the first sword of the Nine Swords to Eliminate the Saint: Raging Seas and Roaring Waves.

Billions of long swords were behind him, each one surprisingly of the same quality as the main body, a first-grade Immortal Sword, and these billions of Immortal Swords merged into one, emitting an incomparably dazzling light.

Raging Seas and Roaring Waves merges billions of Immortal Swords into one, allowing the power of a single Immortal Sword to surge billions of times; this is the domineering aspect of the Nine Swords to Eliminate the Saint.

The amplification is too great!

The integrated Immortal Sword, with an incredibly swift speed, pointed its tip directly at Ye Feng’s head, determined to defeat the enemy with one strike.

Ye Feng seemed to have anticipated it; he stepped on the Void Realm, executing the Shifting Image and Shadow Step, and his figures appeared all over the sky, making it impossible to distinguish between real and fake.

Amidst the Shifting Image and Shadow Step, a small puppet silently dropped to the ground, its speed so fast that Sword Changkong did not notice it at all.

Ye Feng revealed a strange smile in his heart, but he concealed it very well; on the surface, he looked so flustered.

“You actually recognize the Nine Swords to Eliminate the Saint; it seems you also know my Revered Master’s Saintly power.”

“However, only dead people can personally experience this move.”

“Let’s see if you have more Clones or if I have more sword shadows.”

Sword Changkong brought his middle and index fingers together, lightly shaking them, and the single Immortal Sword that remained instantly split into millions more.

“Although I can’t unleash its maximum power, it’s enough to kill you.”

Sword Changkong said indifferently, though his face was a bit pale, clearly indicating that the consumption was quite significant for him.

“Go!”

With a command, millions of Immortal Swords surged forth simultaneously, with tens of thousands of Immortal Swords chasing each phantom, like a Sky Net from which there was no escape.

But Ye Feng was not afraid. He just tried his best to escape.

The phantoms split one by one, all fake; when the last Ye Feng remained, Sword Changkong concentrated all the Immortal Sword power to kill him.

But when the sword passed through Ye Feng’s body, Sword Changkong only saw no panic on Ye Feng’s face, but rather a strange, triumphant smile.

He said with certainty, “You lose.”

As soon as his voice fell, the sword passed through Ye Feng’s body.

But there was no flesh and blood; even the last Ye Feng was a phantom.

Sword Changkong was slightly lost in thought; they were all fake, how could that be?

Before he could think more, he felt a chill rise from his feet to his head, the aura of death.

Escape!

And when he had this thought, Ye Feng held two swords, one piercing his heart, and the other slashing across his neck.

This was a killing blow!

Ye Feng’s speed was even faster; the sword that pierced his body went from his back through his chest, bringing out crimson blood.

However, the Immortal Sword that struck his neck made a crisp clang, being blocked.

It turned out to be his Chaos Sword Bone, which saved his life at a crucial moment.

Sword Changkong suffered a blow and immediately fled, not wanting to expose his back to the enemy.

But he was already severely wounded; Ye Feng only needed to slowly wear him down to exhaust him to death.

“Cough cough, when did you get behind me?”

Sword Changkong said. He was so angry that he coughed up a large mouthful of blood.

“It’s simple, it’s not like I haven’t seen the Nine Swords to Eliminate the Saint before. Your Revered Master used this move to eliminate my Revered Master and annihilate my Saint School, so I haven’t dared to forget it for a single day.”

“I’ve been constantly thinking about how to counter your move, never daring to forget it,” Ye Feng said with a sinister grin.

He smiled triumphantly; this was his countermeasure: Shifting Image and Shadow Step combined with ‘Stealing Heaven and Changing Sun’.

The Nine Swords to Eliminate the Saint is very strong, ridiculously strong; once locked on, even if you run, it will chase you to the ends of the earth, so you can only block it.

So he used a substitute from the start to avoid being locked on.

Then he used Shifting Image and Shadow Step again, quietly flashing behind him to launch a sneak attack.

Sword Changkong understood; this was an enemy from the sect that his Revered Master had annihilated back then.

“Run, you defeated general.”

“You’re too weak; killing you would only dirty my hands.”

Ye Feng provoked Sword Changkong.

Because he knew that Sword Changkong must have life-saving means, and only by enraging him could he make him willingly stay and fight to the death.

“After all, your Revered Master is a Saint, so it’s normal for him to give you some life-saving means.”

“A weakling like you, I can beat you up with one hand. How embarrassing.”

“And a Saint’s disciple? Is that all? I think your Revered Master’s taste isn’t that great, to have taken in such an idiot like you.”

“…”

Ye Feng used all sorts of taunts to severely provoke his mind.

Sword Changkong was already severely injured, and his emotions were already furious.

This person was mocking his incompetence, and even more hatefully, ridiculing his Revered Master for being blind. How could he tolerate this?

He also knew that the other party was provoking him, trying to make him stay.

He did not escape, not because he couldn’t, but because he was afraid of disgracing his Revered Master’s prestige.

Sword Changkong endured the sword wound, gently covering the deeply sunken wound on his neck. He took a deep breath, preparing to unleash another move.

“Just one move.”

“If he takes just one move from me, he will surely die.”

Sword Changkong, with his heavily wounded body, could hardly suppress the Killing Intent in his heart; those who insulted his Revered Master must die.

Seeing Sword Changkong’s Killing Intent rise, Ye Feng said with a half-smile, “That’s more like it; I was worried you’d run away.”

The more he said this, the more furious Sword Changkong’s Killing Intent became; he did not want to escape.

He had resolved to die.

The Saint that Sword Changkong’s Revered Master killed was the Revered Master of this remnant soul old man.

It could be said to be a narrow encounter with an enemy.

“My Revered Master died tragically at your Revered Master’s hands; today, I will kill his beloved disciple, which I presume will cause him pain.”

“Don’t worry, I won’t let you die too quickly; I’ll torment you slowly,” Ye Feng said with a sinister grin.

Sword Changkong’s Killing Intent rushed to his head, and his agitated emotions caused his wound to bleed uncontrollably. His body grew weaker, and his face was as pale as a dried corpse.

His movements also became sluggish, no longer as agile as before.

The fighting here caused a huge commotion.

Attracting countless people to come and watch.

“Holy cow, whose Genius is this again?”

“Before coming here, I always thought I was a Prodigy, but after seeing them fight, I feel like I’m living in a dream.”

“There are differences even among Geniuses. I’m the kind of lower-tier Genius, not good enough to compare with the best, but better than the worst,” some Prodigies who once thought highly of themselves said helplessly.

They were once the cream of the crop in their School, future Sect Heads, but in this training, their performance was mediocre, like ordinary passersby.

“Hey, isn’t that the one who split open the Restriction of the Sword Tomb with one sword?”

“Yes, I recognize him.”

“Am I dreaming? How is he being beaten up?”

“…”

Everyone watched in shock; could such a Genius also be beaten up?

Sword Changkong was exhausted from running for his life; his formerly elegant and noble robe was now tattered from the opponent’s constant thrusts and slashes.

His strong and upright body was also covered in blood and wounds, looking extremely disheveled.

Everyone watched this scene in disbelief; who exactly was the opponent who could beat him up like this?

Soon, someone recognized him: wasn’t this the guy who was beaten into a pulp by Sword Changkong that day?

It seemed he had come for revenge.

But most people were still curious: how could he have made such remarkable progress in just a few months? What had he experienced?

A tiger fallen into the plains, a Dragon swimming in shallow waters.

Sword Changkong was being wantonly toyed with by Ye Feng; he slashed and cut, leaving deep and shallow sword wounds on Sword Changkong’s body, but none were fatal.

Like a cat playing with a mouse, he intended to toy with him until he died.

“Stop!”

A loud shout came.

Ye Feng knew he couldn’t play anymore and prepared to end him with one sword strike.

But almost instantly, the person who spoke stood in front of Sword Changkong and casually slapped his sword away.

“Didn’t you hear our Senior Brother tell you to stop?”
