True Incubus: The Demon with No Limits

Lucian worked on the paperwork early in the morning, stayed with Evelyn throughout the day and trained at night.

Before this, Lucian had relied on Blank Demonic Energy, it worked, it kept his mind clear and stable yes, but...

It wasn’t true Energy of Desire and Lucian could now see why.

As he trained, the difference between the two Energies became clearer and clearer every single day.

The Energy of Desire was far stronger.

It wasn’t just the output that was better, it was also efficient, the amount of energy needed to do a specific task was also only about two-thirds of what Lucian used when he had Blank Demonic Energy.

Meaning that the Energy of Desire did not just increase his speed, strength, regeneration speed, or his senses—

It also made sure that he could fight longer battles without running out of energy.

With all these changes, Lucian actually wanted to fight Alaric again, to see if he could actually defeat the Commander this time. He begged the Commander again and again, even if it was only a five-minute spar, but Alaric shut him down every single time.

Because of the attack, they had increased Evelyn’s security and the command structure became stricter, they also needed to prepare for the upcoming concert, so as the Commander, Alaric truly did not have any time.

Lucian, who now had a better understanding of the command structure, understood that, so he didn’t push him either.

He continued to train on his own.

He continued to work on his own strength, which was still increasing steadily even after the sudden, surprising boost.

His body was adjusting to the Energy of Desire, his muscles responded faster, his bones took impact better, his healing consumed less effort.

When he had the time, Lucian also trained with ordinary guards, he mostly did it to reconnect with them, after everything that happened, after the guards had either seen or heard what he had done, they were obviously awkward around him.

The usual ease they had around him was gone, now they were... a little scared.

Lucian needed a few days to bring them back to normal, they were still more careful with their jokes, but that was mostly because they now no longer doubted why Lucian was hired.

They knew.

And they knew it well.

They understood that Lucian was... far stronger than all of them combined and...

Teasing him became harder when such a fact was etched into their minds.

But slowly, the guards were adjusting to all this.

It wasn’t just the guards who had it difficult, actually, they still had it better, especially when compared to Evelyn.

After all, Evelyn was the one this Supernatural World was after.

And Evelyn...

She was adjusting to these changes better than most.

Instead of rejecting the reality completely, she accepted it bravely, she asked questions, she learned, Sarah and Elise taught her basic emergency responses: when to move, when to stay down, how to follow short commands, how to stay behind cover, and how not to freeze if something impossible appeared again. The two also taught her about more possible enemies she might see in the future, Vampires, Werewolves, Demons, Witches.

Evelyn took the lessons seriously.

Actually, because of all the novels and mangas she had read, there was this geeky shine in her eyes when she heard all this, she honestly seemed more excited than strange that things she thought were fantasies were actually real.

Lucian facepalmed at that more times than he could count.

But as he looked at Evelyn, as he looked at her accepting everything, he couldn’t help but smile.

In these two weeks, their relationship changed as well.

Significantly actually.

Evelyn looked for Lucian first whenever she entered a room. Lucian’s eyes followed her even when he pretended to study route files. Evelyn started sitting beside him during paperwork, sometimes asking questions, sometimes teasing him, sometimes simply staying close. Lucian complained less when she was there, though he did constantly claim her presence was a distraction and therefore a security risk.

At night, he often came to her room.

Sometimes they spoke.

Sometimes they only stayed close.

Sometimes their private moments became more... intimate.

And every time they did—

Lucian’s body was filled with an endless amount of Energy of Desire.

It was an addictive feeling, not only did it feel good, it also made him feel stronger.

It was... out of the world.

It was so good that Lucian wanted to do it every single day, Evelyn was no different, the pleasure she felt was so mind-numbingly good that she craved the same feeling even more than Lucian but—

The two very quickly learned that Evelyn’s body could not keep up with Lucian’s needs.

Lucian visited her three nights in a row and even though he kept it light, by the fourth day, Evelyn was exhausted.

She tried to hide it. She smiled, tried to walk normally, and acted like nothing was wrong, but Lucian could notice the slight delay in her movements, the heaviness in her breathing and the tiredness behind her eyes.

That night, when Evelyn reached for him, Lucian stopped her.

It was not easy for either of them.

Evelyn wanted him, Lucian wanted her. The temptation of filling his body with Energy of Desire made that want more tempting and... dangerous.

But Lucian still stopped her.

So for the next two nights, he only held her.

He stayed beside her, he let her rest, listened to her heartbeat calm, and made sure she slept and that...

That made Evelyn feel even more loved.

And she fell even harder.

The look in her eyes changed even further as she now looked at him.

After that, the two found a rhythm.

Do it once, then two days of rest.

Then do it again.

Then rest.

Lucian followed that rule more strictly than Evelyn did. If she tried to ignore her tiredness, he stopped her, even when she insisted she was fine, with Lucian’s heightened senses, it was almost impossible for Evelyn to fool him.

That made Evelyn pout more than once.

And Lucian—

He pulled her closer and charmed his way out of it every single time.

As days passed, the concert approached closer, the files grew thicker, the routes became tighter, the venue was checked again and again. Staff lists were cut down, emergency exits were reinforced, rooftops were watched. Backstage corridors were mapped, every clean path was treated suspiciously, every blocked path was examined for whether Lucian could make it usable.

And when the day of the concert finally arrived, Lucian looked at the final route plan with his signature beside Clara’s and Alaric’s and he—

He prepared himself for what was about to come.
