True Incubus: The Demon with No Limits

”Lucian!!”

Evelyn screamed again, Lucian gently ruffled her hair, then, once she was silent—

”Black, do not turn anywhere, keep going forward.”

[B-But that would lead to a dead end!]

”Do as I say.”

Lucian spoke before shutting the comm off.

Then, he looked at the ground getting close to them at a dangerous speed. They were free falling, and they were free falling fast.

The last thing he did in the air was press Evelyn’s nerve points, disabling her arms for a second, her grip around him loosened.

”L-Luci—AAAAHHHHHh!!”

She screamed his name in fear, but before she could even complete it, Lucian threw her in the air, then—

BOOOOM

He landed on the ground and—

CRACK

Both the ground and the bones in both his legs cracked.

”Sskkk!!”

Lucian groaned in pain, but he didn’t stop, he moved with broken bones, adjusting himself, then—

”AAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!”

He caught the falling Evelyn in his arms, making sure she didn’t suffer through the impact of falling from that height, even when he himself felt the agonising pain of catching someone, taking the entire brunt of the impact their weight produced, with broken legs.

”Akkk!”

Lucian groaned again, letting out a loud breath.

As for Evelyn—

”AAAHHHH—huh?”

She blinked mid scream when she realised she was back in his arms again. Her heartbeat was still ridiculously fast, her mind couldn’t process whatever had just happened but then—

Lucian pressed her nerve points again, freeing her arms.

”Hold tight.”

He ordered as he placed her arms around his neck.

”Y-Yes.”

Evelyn nodded foolishly and Lucian moved.

For one terrible second, his knees almost gave in, but he held on, his demonic energy had already moved into his bones, healing the damage, forcing the cracked, shifted bones back into their place.

And while it was all being done—

Lucian didn’t take rest.

He moved even as his face paled from pain.

Evelyn stared at him, at his stumbling steps, then at the cracked ground beneath him and she...

She couldn’t utter a single word.

She was too horrified to speak.

She only tightened her hug around him as tears welled up at the corner of her eyes.

”Evelyn.”

That was when Lucian called out in a weaker voice than normal.

Evelyn looked at him and he, without looking back—

”Please don’t cry.”

He requested and her eyes turned even more moist. Still, she nodded with a brave look on her face, Lucian continued moving with broken legs, that, on top of being broken, were taking the abuse he was putting them through.

In a few seconds, Lucian was standing in front of a Wall.

This was the ’dead end’ Sarah mentioned.

Lucian placed his hand on it, feeling its surface, Evelyn frowned at that.

Was he resting...?

She wondered.

And for a moment, she was glad. She knew better than anyone that he needed rest but then—

Lucian moved his hand away, his demonic energy moved to his hand and he—

One Inch Dominion.

And—

The wall collapsed inwardly.

A deep crack spread from his palm, throughout the wall, then, the entire section folded, breaking into small chunks.

”What...?”

Evelyn stared at the scene in fright.

That was a concrete wall!

A wall that had stood for she didn’t know how long!

It wasn’t supposed to fall like this!

Lucian, however, did not care about her reaction, not right now, he only looked around, remembering everything he saw when he was in the air.

His legs had already healed enough for him to keep moving without much trouble at this point, so with Evelyn still in his arms, he moved, this time, a little slower than normal.

Evelyn was surprised by that too.

She had no idea how the man who was stumbling just a few moments ago was moving like this. After about a minute, they reached another wall, Lucian destroyed that too.

Linking the road to the maintenance road he saw, then, he moved again, appearing in front of the last wall and once he destroyed that—

The maintenance road was now linked to a clean, clear residential road.

[Cross, we are approaching the delivery lane. There is still no route!]

That’s when Sarah’s voice came again.

”Just continue moving forward, will you?”

Lucian answered calmly.

[I told you before, there’s a dead end ther—]

Sarah froze.

And Lucian grinned.

”You see it?”

[Yes...]

”Come forward, then take a left there towards the maintenance road.”

Lucian guided Sarah’s car.

And just like that—

A path was made.

An entirely new path that Evelyn could take to escape and return to her residence, without ever being near the trap they set at route two.

They thought they were smart enough to block all the options, didn’t they?

So Lucian decided to create a new option altogether.

An idea no sane man would think of.

After about five more minutes, by the time Lucian’s legs were completely healed, Car Two, that moved through the path Lucian created, stopped in front of them.

”WHAT THE HELL DID YOU DO!?”

Sarah asked as the car door flew open.

”Roadwork.”

Lucian only smiled lightly as he placed Evelyn inside. Evelyn did not let go of his sleeve immediately, her face was still pale, her eyes were fixed on his legs—

”Lucian...”

She called out with a worried look on her face.

Lucian only smiled at her as he stepped back—

”I’ll be back soon.”

He spoke in the gentlest tone.

”Huh? Where are you going?”

Sarah asked.

”Cross, you are supposed to stay with her.”

Elise spoke with a strict look on her face.

Lucian looked at her, then at the road ahead and—

”The road ahead is clear, just move as fast as you can and you will reach home in about 30 minutes. I have some other things to do.”

”Have you lost your mind!? What other things!?”

Sarah snapped, Lucian however, only looked at her as his smile disappeared.

”Move.”

He ordered.

Sarah wanted to say something, but before she could, Lucian turned towards Reed driving the car and—

”Reed, I said move.”

He spoke, his violet eyes shone dangerously and Reed, he didn’t know why he listened to him, he moved.

Evelyn twisted in her seat, staring through the back glass as the car pulled away.

Lucian stood there in silence for a small second—

Then, he moved.
