True Incubus: The Demon with No Limits

After a long gym session, Lucian finally came back to his home and just... stood there in silence.

Even now, even after two days, he still wasn’t used to the silence. His ears could still remember his mother’s voice coming from the kitchen, his eyes could still see his father drinking coffee while working on his laptop.

The two people who welcomed him whenever he walked in...

Now they were gone.

Lucian’s eyes fell on the scratches on the floor and the walls and... his mind started replaying everything that happened and the face of that bastard who did it.

I will kill him.

His purple eyes glowed stronger than ever, the very air around him felt different as his heart raced, this time, not out of excitement from seeing or touching a girl, but with anger.

Sheer, uncontrollable, intense anger.

That bastard.

He would find him and kill him, even if it was the last thing he would do.

He would go to any lengths to tear him into pieces.

With those thoughts burning themselves in his head, Lucian walked into the living room and placed his gym bag near the sofa.

He had planned to head to the shower but just then—

Bzz

His phone buzzed.

It was Naomi.

You came back from the gym? —Naomi.

Lucian raised his eyebrow.

Naomi...

The last conversation they had was 4 months ago, that too, was something about how Naomi needed to talk to his mother and she wasn’t picking up her phone.

To think... they were back on talking terms after what happened...

Everything that happened huh...

Lucian muttered inwardly as he remembered the details and he couldn’t help but imagine Naomi’s face.

Should he... really be getting close to her like this...?

Especially after everything that happened?

Honestly, Lucian did not know, while he was glad that his relationship with Naomi was becoming better, something inside him... feared that.

For now, however, he decided not to think about it. He had finally gotten some clarity, he would rather use this to look a few things up and plan his future actions.

Of course, he still didn’t leave her hanging, he replied.

Are you stalking me or something? You aren’t going to turn into a Yandere are you? Not that I mind, Yanderes are the best! —Lucian.

He grinned, just imagining the look on her face made him laugh.

He obviously knew Naomi wasn’t a stalker or a yandere, she was too busy in her life to deal with such pointless stuff. The reason she was even texting him in the first place was because she was probably worried about him.

She must have known that he would feel lonely returning to an empty home, so she was most probably just checking on him and making sure he was safe.

Honestly, Lucian appreciated that.

He... needed someone who could just... be there for him.

Now, more than ever.

Wow... you really do believe someone will become a yandere for your sake huh... talk abt being delusional... —Naomi.

I guess this is what reading too many novels does to a boy’s head huh... —Naomi.

Tell me, Lucian, do you often fantasise about novel characters interacting with you irl and you seducing them? —Naomi.

I am interested to know, I want to know how a virgin loser thinks. —Naomi.

The answer came almost instantly and it made Lucian’s mouth twitch.

Virgin loser? Look who’s talking. Did u forget u were a virgin too? Why attack yourself? —Lucian.

I was a virgin, not a loser. —Naomi.

Lucian’s face twitched even more strongly.

Anyways, I just wanted to know if you were home. I need to study for an internship I was planning to take —Naomi.

ttyl —Naomi.

See you at Uni. —Naomi.

The last words made Lucian frown.

See you at Uni?

Didn’t she know?

I dropped out —Lucian.

He informed.

Hmm? —Naomi.

She didn’t call? —Naomi.

Who? —Lucian.

Nothing. —Naomi.

She will do it on her own. —Naomi.

Anyways, m going. —Naomi.

Hey wait! —Lucian.

Oi! —Lucian.

Come back! —Lucian.

Lucian texted her but she didn’t reply, he thought of calling her, but just as he was about to, his phone buzzed.

He was getting a call from an unknown number.

Lucian frowned.

He usually didn’t pick calls from unknown numbers, but this time, he did.

”Hello?”

He spoke with a frown.

[Lucian Cross?]

From the other side, Lucian heard a familiar voice.

[This is Professor Elena Hart. I apologize for calling you at this late hour, I was supposed to call you earlier but a few things came up.]

”Professor?”

Lucian frowned.

[I am calling you regarding today’s matter. Your request to drop out is denied, so you should return to University tomorrow.]

”It’s denied...?”

Lucian didn’t understand.

”But what about Ryan and the others—”

He tried to ask but before he could even complete his question—

[Sofia and the other two girls told me about the things Ryan and the others said to you and how you requested them to leave politely till the last second. I am not saying you aren’t at fault, but this is something we can discuss tomorrow. For now, I better see you at the University tomorrow, is that clear?]

Professor Hart spoke the last line in a somewhat strict tone to which Lucian could only nod.

”A-Alright.”

[Good.

I hope you have a good rest.]

She spoke in an unusually gentle voice before she cut the call and Lucian...

He didn’t know how to react.

’I guess my University life isn’t over, huh.’
