Fully Leveled Bigshot Becomes A Farmgirl

Chapter 1834: Chapter 1834: Plans for the Journey

The plan was initially meant to be implemented after the New Year, as it was early, and everyone was still discussing.

Shurui was going to travel, and since Erniu was also a student of Master Wen, naturally he could go along. With the two of them having each other’s company on the road, there was less anxiety.

Actually, compared to Shurui, who had already been to the southwest, Erniu should go out more.

Not just him, Dabao, having heard the news, was adamant about not being left behind. The three of them were of similar age and started studying around the same time. Although Dabao was not in the same school, their teachers were close friends.

In the past few years, they started learning to read and write, and together they had sorted things out during the Shuyou and departure incident, gradually fostering good relationships — leaving anyone behind wouldn’t be good.

Eventually, it was decided that the three would travel together.

If Shurui traveled alone, then Ying Dong accompanying him would be fine. Now that there were three, Ying Dong certainly couldn’t manage, especially with the overly excited Dabao, who was like a wild horse at the news of going far away. How to manage?

Just as the Lu family was pondering over who to put in charge, a letter from Shu Yu was delivered from the courier station.

The situation in Chenggu County was quite intense, but since Jiangyuan County was far away, ordinary folks weren’t aware of the stakes involved.

However, the Lu family was different, as Shu Yu and Meng Yunzheng had left hurriedly, plus Zhao Xi was constantly paying attention to the events there.

They heard bits of news, even though they didn’t know the specific events, they understood that things were unstable there.

Receiving Shu Yu’s letter with the reassurance of safety, everyone breathed a sigh of relief.

Unexpectedly, there was a huge surprise waiting for them in the next letter; Shu Yu announced that Granny Fang had been found, and they had met in Chenggu County, planning to bring her back after the New Year.

The old lady was extremely happy and immediately wanted to prepare a room.

Madam Ruan reminded her that Aunt’s family would surely come as well, and they should prepare meeting gifts. The old lady realized this and checked the letter but found no mention of Granny Fang’s family.

Then, a day later, the old lady expressed wanting to visit Chenggu County.

The Lu family was astonished; the old lady said that since Shurui and the others were going on a journey, instead of visiting nearby towns, they should head north to Changjin Prefecture to find Shu Yu.

At that time, it was the beginning of December; if they hurried a bit, they could arrive before the New Year to spend it together with Shu Yu, avoiding her spending the New Year away from family.

Everyone considered this and realized it was feasible.

If the old lady was going too, only having Ying Dong accompany wouldn’t suffice. Since they were going to Changjin Prefecture to find Shu Yu, Lu Erbai, being the father, should undoubtedly accompany them.

The family shop was running smoothly, with Craftsman Zheng and Liang Wangsheng managing things; business wasn’t particularly busy at year’s end, so Lu Erbai being away for a few months wouldn’t be a problem.

Since returning from the southwest, he had been staying in Dongan Province; now was the time to go out and see the world more.

Besides Lu Erbai, another person was needed. Lu Dasong wanted to go, as he felt he should be present to take care of his mother while traveling.

However, before he could propose, Third Lu came forward.

Initially, it was due to Madam Liang insisting he go along. Dabao was her beloved son and had never traveled far. Although Madam Liang was usually carefree, she worried inside. Having Third Lu, the father, accompany ensured he wouldn’t suffer grievances.
