Fully Leveled Bigshot Becomes A Farmgirl

Chapter 952: Chapter 952: Playing the Fool

Ms. Tang took a deep breath, then suddenly let out a shrill scream, hurriedly denying, “It wasn’t me, I didn’t kill him. He wasn’t killed by me!”

Shu Yu narrowed her eyes. Just now, Ms. Tang seemed to have paused for a moment.

“Ms. Tang, you…”

Before she could finish her sentence, Ms. Tang screamed even louder, “It wasn’t me, really, it wasn’t me! He fell with the knife into the cracks of the rocks himself. We were arguing, and he got so worked up that he accidentally stumbled and fell. Just like that, just like that…”

As she spoke, she suddenly lifted her head and widened her eyes, “I went to pull the knife out, and… ahhhhh… so much blood, blood spurting out everywhere! Ahaha… dead, a dead man! Everyone come and see! There’s a dead body, hurry up and look…”

Ms. Tang burst into manic laughter, drawing the attention of the villagers lingering at the doorway.

Young Master Jiang froze, “Is this… madness, has she gone mad?”

Shu Yu sneered coldly, “Feigning madness and acting clueless.”

A person who deliberately approached the Wang Family and even dared to steal money and elope would have nerves stronger than this, wouldn’t she?

Moreover, with Old Master Cui murdered—dead in the cellar for two days—she hadn’t shown even the slightest signs of abnormality. Someone like her wouldn’t lose her sanity so easily.

She’s just trying to evade responsibility, that’s all.

Shu Yu stepped forward, crouched down, and grabbed Ms. Tang’s cheeks in her hand. “Ms. Tang, let me ask you. Where is Old Man Cui’s granddaughter? Where is she? What have you done to her?”

“Haha… hoo hoo hoo, there’s a corpse, oh, it’s so fun, so entertaining,” Ms. Tang chuckled gleefully, struggling to get free. She frowned in frustration as she looked at Shu Yu, “You’re hurting me. Let go, or I’ll go home and tell my mother. Pah…”

She spat at Shu Yu, but Shu Yu, quick to react, turned her head and dodged.

This behavior clearly enraged her. Shu Yu yanked Ms. Tang’s face upward in one swift motion. Ms. Tang couldn’t even open her mouth anymore—her neck craned unnaturally upward.

The position was unbearably uncomfortable, making her feel as if her neck might snap.

Ms. Tang started crying on cue.

Shu Yu remained unmoved, her tone chilling, “Ms. Tang, I know you’re pretending to act the fool. Tell me honestly—where is Cui Family’s granddaughter? Otherwise, don’t blame me for what happens next.”

Ms. Tang cried and laughed simultaneously, but Shu Yu was losing her patience. She lifted her gaze to Ying Xi, “Bring her inside for me.”

She released her grip and strode toward the living room.

Ying Xi grabbed Ms. Tang and dragged the deranged, screaming woman into the house with him.

Young Master Jiang remained frozen outside, only snapping back to reality after a long moment. He hurriedly followed after them, saying, “Lady Lu, you’re not thinking about using private punishment, are you? That wouldn’t be appropriate. If the authorities get wind of your actions, you’ll be in trouble too.”

“Right now, finding that little girl is the priority. There’s no time to worry about anything else. I’ll explain it to the authorities when the time comes. I believe they’ll understand,” Shu Yu replied. She tended to care more about children, and with the girl missing for two days now—if they could find her in time, perhaps she could still be unharmed.

If they missed even the slightest window of opportunity, and something happened to the child, remorse would be too late.

Young Master Jiang thought she was too naive, “It’s not as simple as you’re making it sound. The authorities won’t…”

Before he could finish, Shu Yu had already moved to action. She grabbed Ms. Tang’s pinky finger and bent it backward.

“Ahh…” Ms. Tang felt as if her finger was about to snap, cold sweat instantly burst across her forehead. She stared in disbelief at the young girl in front of her—someone who seemed fragile and easily intimidated, yet in this moment could instill sheer terror.
