Fully Leveled Bigshot Becomes A Farmgirl

Chapter 870: Chapter 870: Shu Yu’s Letter

Originally, according to their plan, she was just an ordinary peasant girl. Even if she was exiled, she wasn’t considered an important figure.

Later, she produced heating packs and got someone to present them to the Emperor, who at most would just know of the existence of a girl from the Lu Corporation and the greatest grace would be to acquit her so she could return to Jiangyuan County and continue as a peasant girl.

The people in Jiangyuan County do not know she was exiled, and the exile area is so far from here that there’s hardly any interaction.

Such a Lu Shuyu wouldn’t attract much attention, and of course, even if she does, isn’t there Xiang Weinan? In a little over half a year, the Fifth Prince should be ascending the throne.

With this, Shu Yu shouldn’t have much to worry about.

But now it’s different, the people in the county town know she was exiled and she has become a registered and well-known Village Chief with real capabilities. Who knows if someone who dislikes her might want to dig into her past trying to kill her.

Upon investigation, if they find inconsistencies with her background story as told to the Emperor… that would spell doom.

Considering this, it might be better to confess and seek leniency.

After all, she now possesses a Life-saving Talisman.

“Life-saving Talisman? Who?”

As soon as Xiang Weinan asked, he immediately understood, “Dongqing Temple master?”

Shu Yu nodded, and Xiang Weinan twitched the corner of his mouth, feeling a bit envious about how profitably she picked her mentor.

Xiang Weinan then bowed his head to read the letter in his hand, where Shu Yu first sincerely admitted her wrongdoing, telling Qi Chan that because of the heating packs, she received the Emperor’s grace and was very grateful.

But she felt guilty for concealing some matters and felt she had betrayed the trust of the Emperor and Qi Chan, causing her to be restless at night, unable to eat or sleep. So, after much deliberation, she decided to write this letter, disclosing everything to seek forgiveness from the Emperor.

As long as the Emperor calms down, she is willing to relinquish the title of Village Chief and return to the exile area to toil daily as atonement.

Seeing this, Xiang Weinan couldn’t help raise his head, “You handle things smoothly, earnestly confessing faults before anything else is even said, already having an exit strategy and conveniently mentioning your contribution with the heating packs.”

After admitting fault, she then details the background of the matter.

The letter mentioned that she had accepted the Dongqing Temple master as her mentor at the beginning of last year.

Very good, she never fails to mention the Dongqing Temple master.

She then went on to say that she discovered her true identity when occurred and barely escaped the ponds of the Shu family, seeking refuge with her mentor. Yet, the mentor left her an address, instructing her to find her biological parents.

The master’s decree cannot be defied.

She initially just wanted to have a look, unaware that the Lu family had been searching for her, leading to severe impoverishment. By the Lu family’s side, she felt the warmth of family and the preciousness of kinship.

Yet, she still harbored a hint of fear, worrying that the Shu family might come after her, hence she kept an eye on the Shu family’s situation.

Upon learning that the entire Shu family had been imprisoned, as their adopted daughter, she knew she couldn’t escape her fate, but fearing to involve her newly reunited family, she went alone to the prefecture to seek advice from her mentor.

Unexpectedly, her mentor had already wandered off, but left her a note, suggesting she accept her fate if it was inevitable.

Thus, she secured a manor to attempt to sever her connection with the Lu family.

However, due to a series of misfortunes, her family still ended up finding out about her exile, not hesitating to leave their homeland and painstakingly follow her from thousands of miles away.
