She is the Side Character! — Watch Her Change her fate!

After buying game tokens, Ah Chen walked into the arcade.

She scanned through the basketball machines, dance machines, various fighting games, and some more casual activities like coin pushers and claw machines. What arcades outside have, this place has too, and what they don’t have, this place also does.

Everyone was still hesitant to take action but tacitly moved next to the games they were more familiar with, their eyes turning towards Ah Chen.

Following the lead of the expert had become their unspoken understanding. At the very least, they could learn something, enough to increase their chances of survival.

In front of Ah Chen was a claw machine with a stool. She sat down without much hesitation, inserted a coin, and started clawing.

Quickly, she had caught three dolls, and when she got the fourth one, it exploded in her hand like a small bomb.

In the blink of an eye, everyone saw a flash of light on her body. The explosion of the doll didn’t harm her at all.

The crowd, who were initially tense, all let out a sigh of relief. As expected of the expert. But was that light a Shield Card? It certainly seemed like a Shield Card, but somehow different.

In fact, even if Ah Chen hadn’t used any protective measures, the doll’s explosion couldn’t have harmed her.

She protected herself mainly because the explosion of the doll could damage her clothes. After all, she was wearing the clothes provided by the cruise, which couldn’t withstand much.

With this incident, the others understood where the danger lay.

However, other machines differ from claw machines since the gameplay is different. But they knew that as long as they had good protective measures, it shouldn’t be a big problem.

But, how would they know if today’s experience was successful?

Just then, a broadcast echoed: ”After a week of busyness, everyone, relax and play some games. You can play whatever you want for the next two hours.”

The crowd relaxed, realizing there was a time limit.

But it was probably just counting the time they spent playing, not the time spent waiting inside doing nothing.

They didn’t know if they could switch machines to avoid problems, so they didn’t dare to gamble and all chose games they excelled at.

A person playing a coin pusher had a coin drop that turned out to be a bomb, exploding right in front of him. Fortunately, he was prepared and wasn’t injured.

The damaged coin pusher quickly refreshed and returned to its original state. The Adventurer took a deep breath and continued playing.

Another Adventurer playing a tile-matching game hit a row of bombs, which unexpectedly exploded, leaving him bloodied despite being well-prepared. Luckily, he survived.

Someone playing billiards hit a bomb with a cue, and it exploded as well.

Throughout the morning, the arcade was particularly lively, with constant sounds of explosions and Adventurers’ cries of pain.

Fortunately, they were prepared, and so far, none had been eliminated, but it seemed like only a matter of time.

For two hours, they couldn’t slack off and had to keep playing to ensure a successful experience.

And if they ran out of money, even if they weren’t blown up, they would ultimately be eliminated for not being able to buy game tokens.

So, those with less money chose the dance machine, which offered relatively good value for money, though it was exhausting, and they still risked stepping on bomb graphics on the dance floor.

If bomb appearances hadn’t been infrequent, who knows how many would have been blown up by now.

In two hours, Ah Chen caught ten explosive dolls because of her speed and efficiency.

If someone were to play slowly, there would be opportunities to evade, and the chances of encountering bomb dolls would be much lower.

When she sensed that time was up, Ah Chen called over a manager and pointed to a few baskets of dolls nearby, indicating she wanted to exchange them for money.

The manager’s eye twitched, but he smiled and led Ah Chen to exchange the dolls for money.

Ah Chen still had millions now and didn’t lack any. She thought that what she earned in the level could eventually be converted into currency, though there might be some conversion rate.

She didn’t mind, as she could save what she could. Even if she didn’t need it, Wei Wenlan might.

Mentioning Wei Wenlan, she wondered how she was doing.

Now everyone was in different levels, and everything depended on herself.

The money exchanged from the dolls wasn’t much compared to her current wealth, but it satisfied her. After getting her room card, she didn’t leave but went to find Bai Chao. Bai Chao was being sought out by an Adventurer, who eventually bought a Defense Shield from him for 18,888 yuan, which could be used endlessly for today.

It was expensive, but with such a Defense Shield, clearing this arcade level was guaranteed. People with the means naturally bought it without hesitation. However, people who could easily come up with such an amount could be counted on one hand.

”Is there anything cheaper?” a heavily injured Adventurer came over, his face numb and despairing upon hearing the price.

Bai Chao remained emotionless and said, ”Yes, we have one-time, three-time, and five-time Defense Shields available for 1,888 yuan, 4,888 yuan, and 8,888 yuan respectively. Would you like one?”

The questioning Adventurer felt a glimmer of hope, finally gritting his teeth: ”I’ll take a 4,888 yuan one.”

He’d rely on his luck.

His funds were running low, and he couldn’t keep none. If they ran out of money and got eliminated before the final project even started, that wouldn’t be worthwhile.

Once Adventurer after Adventurer approached Bai Chao to buy Defense Shields, and there was a pause, Ah Chen made her way over.

Bai Chao said, ”There shouldn’t be anyone else looking for me. Those who could afford it have bought it, and those who can’t, simply can’t. Let’s go; it’s about noon. Let’s have some lunch.”

”Okay.”

”Let’s try out that lamb restaurant today; it’s delicious.”

As the two walked away, those still in the arcade were green with envy. This opportunistic businessman had hooked up with a bigshot.

They thought that having a romance might mean getting some perks.

It turned out, dear me, he not only didn’t offer perks but also raised prices.

After lunch, Ah Chen and Bai Chao returned to the arcade to see how things were going, hearing that quite a few people had been eliminated.

In the end, only 13 people, including Ah Chen, walked out of the arcade.

Tomorrow is the last day; who knows what awaits them at the dance party?

It turned out just as Ah Chen had predicted; the number of people would be kept under ten, but whether they could be counted on one hand would depend on what happens at the dance party tomorrow night.

After returning to their rooms, they were notified that the dance party would start at eight o’clock tomorrow evening, with the broadcast only reminding everyone not to be late, without additional hints.

As for tomorrow’s daytime, it probably would be free activities.

At this moment, many people were pondering one thing: there is a dance party in the evening, they could still use today’s room card for breakfast, so how will lunch be settled? However, most thought missing a lunch was not a big deal and weren’t worried.
