Who Brought Him into the Cultivation World?

Chapter 189: Chapter 163: The Pervert Haunting

Huaizhou Prefecture haunted?

A Palace Guard, looking extremely peculiar, rushed into the Government Office’s inner courtyard, then pushed open the door to the room where Sikong Du had been hiding while working.

”Boss, something happened!”

Sikong Du jumped up from his chair as soon as he heard, fearing the worst had happened. He quickly approached the Palace Guard and grabbed him.

”Is it a mass incident? Or did some unlucky soul take a pill from Pharmacist Han and suffer terrible consequences?”

The Palace Guard shook his head vigorously, nearly scaring Sikong Du to death.

Could it be a disaster of epic proportions?

”No, boss, we’re haunted!”

The Palace Guard’s expression was still incredibly strange. This was something no one would believe even if it were said aloud, yet it happened. If it were an ordinary citizen filing a case, they might have been sent away.

But this was a large group of cultivators covering their privates with leaves reporting the incident!

Surely not all of them could be hallucinating, right?

”Are you out of your mind, haunted, where did ghosts come from, what ghosts?”

Sikong Du nearly gave his subordinate a slap to bring him to his senses.

As a Palace Guard of the Imperial Court and a cultivator, to be talking about ghosts!

The Palace Guard could only begin to explain reluctantly, just a quarter of an hour ago...

Once Sikong Du finished listening, his expression immediately mirrored that of the Palace Guard.

Could it really be haunted?

The Palace Guard, with a bitter face, said, ”Now the entire State City knows there’s a haunting outside the city. There’s a pervert who knocks out cultivators and strips them naked. Now, not only cultivators, but even the citizens are afraid to leave the city.”

Sikong Du reflexively walked out, speaking as he walked, ”I don’t believe this nonsense. How can there be a pervert in broad daylight? It’s not like it’s pitch dark.”

As he was walking halfway, he suddenly had a bad feeling and turned back to ask, ”Is this Han Yu’s doing?”

Fortunately, the Palace Guard shook his head, allowing him to breathe a sigh of relief.

The Palace Guard initially had doubts too, given they were all sent by the Inspectorate, and they were informed about everything they needed to know, especially concerning Han Yu.

But in truth, Han Yu had not left the State City, and at the time of the incident, he was in the inn, as many brothers could confirm.

It’s not him?

”So what’s he up to?”

Sikong Du mumbled.

The Palace Guard looked up and pointed outside the door, speaking.

”He was just at the inn, but followed the citizens to join the commotion afterward, sir. He’s waving at you now!”

Damn!

Sikong Du’s figure stiffened abruptly, and he halted his steps suddenly.

Damn it, I forgot about this matter. I was avoiding him, so why did I come out?

He then glared at the Palace Guard beside him with regret and cursed quietly.

”You bastard, you got your boss into trouble, couldn’t you have reminded me?”

The Palace Guard felt utterly wronged, as Sikong Du had rushed out without giving him a chance to speak, and now the blame was being shifted to him.

On the other side, after criticizing Bai Bufen in his mind, Han Yu stayed in the inn. Later, the street outside suddenly became lively, and when he poked his head out to look, the first thing he heard was that the Government Office was haunted.

This was big news; he had to see it!

But when he arrived at the Government Office, he saw a group of cultivators in grass skirts shaking their bare butts and swarming into the outer courtyard of the Government Office.

At the gate of the Government Office, people were already gathered in crowds. After listening carefully for a while, Han Yu heard most of what was going on.

His expression turned bizarre: haunting outside the State City? Stripping cultivators of their clothes?

There were already rumors among the citizens about a pervert outside the city.

This was definitely entertaining; the world is full of surprises, indeed.

Han Yu was watching the actions of the Government Office along with the crowd. Not long after, a familiar figure gradually walked out—wasn’t it Sikong Du who had gone out for business!

Han Yu quickly waved at him.

Sikong Du really wanted to pretend not to see him and sneak back, but on second thought, it seemed even dumber to do that.

Oh well, if it’s a blessing, it won’t be a disaster; if it’s a disaster, you can’t avoid it.

With a helpless sigh, Sikong Du waved Han Yu over and invited him in.

When Han Yu squeezed through the crowd to come in, outside the Government Office, there were just a bunch of behinds, a group of cultivators clustered together, all with faces full of resentment and humiliation.

Though the Palace Guard had already made their position clear, Sikong Du still wasn’t at ease, so he privately pulled Han Yu aside and whispered.

”Brother Han, be honest with your old buddy, does this have anything to do with you?”

Han Yu’s eyes widened in disbelief as he looked at him, thinking if not for fearing Sikong Du couldn’t handle the heat, he almost considered lighting a candle by setting him on fire for a moment.

He quietly replied, ”Lord Sikong, do you think I’d be interested in all these behinds?”

Sikong Du looked at him and pondered seriously before sighing helplessly, ”Could it really be ghosts causing trouble?”

But Han Yu suddenly looked at all those behinds and said, ”What do you think that pervert ghost is after? Just stripped them and did nothing else!”

His voice wasn’t low, and the group of wronged junior cultivators shivered all over, then cast embarrassed and angry glances his way.

”When I was a kid, Uncle Gen told me a story about a fallen scholar encountering a ghost in a ruined temple.”

Han Yu suddenly got a mischievous thought and spoke up again, this time not softly.

Such plots were nothing new; every storyteller had worn out the tale, usually involving a fallen scholar encountering a beautiful female ghost in a ruined temple and then having a romantic encounter.

But Han Yu’s version was different.

”Uncle Gen said that there are male perverts too. If someone lies down randomly like the scholar, they might wake up with a sore behind.”

After hearing this, the expression on the faces of the poor junior cultivators changed from shame and anger to sheer terror, and some even instinctively covered their behinds.

Especially those a bit smarter; after checking themselves thoroughly, finding no loss of vital energy or any changes in their blood energy, they found it even more terrifying, as if Han Yu’s words had been proven true, turning their faces pale.

Sikong Du glanced helplessly at the mischief smiling Han Yu, called out, and led him into the inner courtyard.

The two of them moved away from the outer courtyard to a secluded hall, which was usually where Sikong Du resided.

At this moment, he couldn’t help but have a headache looking at Han Yu.

How come ever since Han Yu arrived, strange things started happening in Huaizhou?

He hadn’t even thought of a way to send Han Yu away, and now there were ghostly disturbances.

It really was giving him a headache.

After much consideration, he decided to be straightforward.

”Brother Han... no, Pharmacist Han, I actually learned about your matters from the Inspectorate’s response a couple of days ago.”

Sikong Du looked at Han Yu and sighed honestly.

Which meant that when they were drinking that day, Sikong Du’s sudden departure was due to the content of the letter being about Han Yu?

Han Yu looked at him oddly and asked, ”Lord Sikong, you didn’t leave, did you? You just didn’t want to see me?”

Sikong Du gave an awkward smile; there was no avoiding it! The higher-ups told him to handle it? How could he handle it? Han Yu had saved him; if he couldn’t handle it for the moment, he could at least dodge for a bit!

”Brother Han, to be honest, I really feel a connection with you and want to befriend you, but I’m truly afraid of Huaizhou getting into trouble!”

Almost everywhere they went, Han Yu’s pills caused disturbances; just the thought of it scared him.

Now it was Han Yu’s turn to feel awkward. See how scared Sikong Du was, although he was bold, unlike Zhao Yulin, who would probably have started pushing him to leave by now.

Speaking of Zhao Yulin, Sikong Du mentioned him too.

”I heard old Zhao next door has gone into madness several times, it’s tragic. With you here, old buddy, I’m also afraid of losing control myself! I heard from the Inspectorate that Zhao knowingly got caught by the side effects.”

If it had been before meeting Han Yu, hearing such things would have mostly been dismissed with a laugh, but he truly experienced a moment where he almost couldn’t resist taking a pill.

”How about I deliver the pills to Brother Bai, and then find another place?”

”I promised to wait a day for him.”

Since Sikong Du was already this courteous, and there weren’t particularly special cultivators around, making connections at another place wasn’t a bad idea, Sikong Du seemed like a good person to befriend.

”Brother Bai dares to take them?”

Sikong Du was suddenly astonished as if Han Yu was a Celestial Being.

Speaking of which, Han Yu looked strange; not only did he dare to take them, he didn’t even listen to the side effects.

”In fact, the pill originally meant for you was already taken by him, and now he wants the second pill.”

For Bai Bufen, Sikong Du wasn’t just simply impressed; anyone who dared to take a second after the first was truly a remarkable man.

”What kind of pill did you bring out this time?”

As soon as Sikong Du asked, he regretted it; his tricky mouth knew he couldn’t resist, yet he asked.

Han Yu smiled amiably and pulled out a pill...
