Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 3090: Chapter 3099: Renee Anderson Gets Blamed

Leah Rivers murmured through her tears, ”Dad...”

Colin Rivers raised his hand, his attitude unyielding, ”Are you going to say it or not?!”

Leah Rivers was never one to be loyal. She was spoiled from a young age and had no real friends, nor did she sincerely care for others. Out of sheer spite towards Olivia Lewis, she divulged without any pang of conscience, ”It’s Renee.”

”She told me Olivia Lewis and President Stephen were involved here, and urged me to bring people over. I came because I was tempted by her sweet words, I really didn’t intend to do anything, just wanted to see if what she said was true.”

Leah Rivers was really like a dog biting another dog.

Renee Anderson had previously made it very clear to her what their plan was, yet now Leah Rivers denied it, claiming she only knew Olivia Lewis and Stephen were in there. As for why they were there, she wasn’t involved and didn’t know the reason.

Colin Rivers was no fool; of course, he could see through her lies. But right now, he had to protect his daughter, so he immediately furrowed his brow, ”Renee? Which Renee?”

”You know, the one you’ve met before...” Leah Rivers glanced around the crowd, suddenly fixed her gaze on a spot, and stretched out her hand, pointing directionally, ”There, it’s her!”

Shh—

All eyes turned towards the back, focusing on the person Leah Rivers was pointing at.

Now desperate to shift the blame onto someone else, Leah Rivers didn’t care how well they had gotten along before, blurting out, ”She’s the one who came to me, saying Olivia Lewis planned to have an affair with President Stephen here.”

Renee Anderson was shaking with anger, her already haggard face now even paler. Inside, she cursed Leah Rivers’ stupidity for dragging her into this mess. She maintained her cool and calmly countered, ”I don’t understand what Ms. Rivers is saying! You can’t just throw accusations to clear yourself of suspicion. I only heard noise from above and came to check what was happening, yet Ms. Rivers wants to pin it on me, that’s too much.”

Leah Rivers was a privileged young lady, often swaggering around at the company. She never expected Renee Anderson to refuse to take the fall and instead try to push all the blame back onto her. But Leah was no pushover, so she immediately shouted, ”Blame you? Why would I blame you? Who do you think you are.”

Renee Anderson was much smarter than Leah Rivers, her argument much more graceful, ”I never claimed to be anyone, yet I don’t understand why Ms. Rivers wants to blame me. Perhaps because I know President Sinclair?”

Compared to Renee’s composed demeanor, Leah Rivers appeared far more agitated. Coupled with her recent exposure as a liar, almost no one believed her words now.

The gossip ensued—

”Tsk, people say dogs bite when cornered, I’ve never seen it till today.”

”What thick skin, she did it but won’t admit it, and wants someone else to take the fall. Ugh, good thing we came together before. Otherwise, she’d have pinned the blame on us for bringing her here to catch the affair.” ℯ

”Yeah, truly disgusting.”

”Now I understand why President Sinclair would rather be with that Star than her. Leah Rivers like this, I’d reject her too. She’s the perfect match for that illegitimate child!”
