Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 3088: Chapter 3097: Unexpected Twist (2)

Leah Rivers was genuinely about to cry, her eyes flushed red, even more unwilling to admit fault, ”I won’t! Why should I apologize? She claims I hired someone to rob her, does she have any evidence? Show me the evidence then, I’ll just go to jail!”

President Rivers was trembling with anger, raised his hand, and slapped her across the face. The slap was crisp and resonant, and he loudly scolded, ”I told you to apologize! Don’t understand human language?!”

Leah Rivers covered her face with one hand, stunned by the slap, completely in disbelief, ”Dad?”

The middle-aged man looked away, not even glancing at her, forcibly pulled her in front of Olivia Lewis, ”Whether you did it or not, whatever you did, I’ll ask you later. Now apologize, properly apologize to Ms. Lewis! Otherwise, you won’t be using your credit card from this month on!”

After scolding Leah Rivers, he turned to Olivia Lewis with an apologetic expression, ”Ms. Lewis, I’m really sorry, it’s my fault for not teaching my daughter properly, causing her to bring you so much trouble. Don’t worry, I’ll definitely ask her who influenced her behind the scenes.”

He knew his daughter; aside from having a temper, she acted without thinking.

Today’s situation obviously showed she was being used as a pawn.

Originally, he wouldn’t have to humble himself to a female star like this, but now he had a big weakness in Adam Sinclair’s hands. If he didn’t want the Rivers Family to be ruined, he had to behave honestly.

Colin Rivers was still haunted by the previous incident; he did it so secretly, yet he had no idea where Adam Sinclair got the evidence.

To put it bluntly, in his decades facing Benjamin Sinclair, he had never been so deferential. But now, facing a young man decades younger than himself, he found him unfathomable.

Colin Rivers didn’t dare to look into Adam Sinclair’s eyes; he genuinely feared the young man in front of him.

Since Adam Sinclair had called him, it was clear he was protecting his woman, and he had to make Leah apologize!

Colin Rivers took a deep breath, once again looked at Leah Rivers with seriousness, and forcefully stated, ”Leah, apologize!”

”Dad...” Leah Rivers’ tears welled up, almost spilling out. But in front of Adam Sinclair, she couldn’t lose face by crying, her face flushed with embarrassment as she held back, looking as embarrassed as possible.

Especially since her face bore five distinct finger marks, making her look even more pitiable!

”Do you want me to say it again? Apologize!” During these last two words, Colin Rivers intensified his tone, showing his impatience and anger.

Leah Rivers was used to acting domineeringly at home, and today was the first time she’d ever been hit since growing up; she was shocked and angry, yet powerless. All she could do was reluctantly lower her head and very superficially say to Olivia Lewis, ”I’m sorry.”

Her voice was as soft as a mosquito’s buzz, and she spoke so fast that it was barely intelligible.

Adam Sinclair raised his peach blossom eyes slightly.

Before he could speak, the middle-aged man winced, frowned, and, with a stern face, raised his hand to deliver another slap to Leah Rivers’ face. This slap had full force, making her face tilt and prompting a cry.

”I told you to properly apologize to Ms. Lewis!”

Leah Rivers’ ears were ringing, her tears could no longer be contained, streaming down her face, she said to Olivia Lewis in a tearful voice, ”I’m sorry.”

This time, she didn’t make any tricks, she apologized honestly.

The middle-aged man’s brows were still furrowed, yet he solemnly apologized to Olivia Lewis in person, ”Ms. Lewis, I’m truly sorry for today. I apologize on behalf of my daughter. Rest assured, this matter is not over, and I will definitely find out what happened.”
