Chapter 288: Chapter 288: Blood Spree (Four more updates, please subscribe)

”Ah, Gong Yu, look at yourself. You were the main focus of our school’s cultivation, and not many people get to train in the desert. Why must you antagonize Xie Dong? You’ve offended Xie Dong, and none of us can help you. They’re already being quite polite by not killing you.”

”He chopped off one of my hands and now he won’t allow me to enhance my Genetic Evolution. How is that different from killing me?”

”You still have a life, right? Better to live poorly than die well. Just accept your fate.”

”What if I don’t accept my fate?”

Gong Yu clenched his teeth, his handsome face twisted somewhat gruesomely, his right hand gripping the Lightning Spear tightly.

Wang Meng gave a faint smile:

”If you don’t accept, you’ll only die!”

”Fine, then let’s see if you have the capability.”

Gong Yu roared angrily, his figure flashed, holding the Lightning Spear, turning into a streak of light, and stabbing at Wang Meng.

Wang Meng sneered coldly, and a blue Light Shield burst forth in front of him.

With a thud, Gong Yu’s spear stabbed the Light Shield, which showed a white crack.

Wang Meng was startled; Gong Yu was really formidable.

Judging from their Evolution Level, Gong Yu was higher than Wang Meng, but Gong Yu’s one hand was crippled, which greatly affected his extremely proficient Dual-Handed Lightning Spear Skill.

People around Gong Yu knew that once his Dual-Handed Lightning Spear swung, it moved as fast as lightning and was utterly terrifying. But now, with only one hand, his combat power had immediately halved.

Wang Meng instantly drew a Blood-colored Longsword with his right hand and thrust it towards Gong Yu.

The two immediately began a fierce battle on the ice.

Gong Yu had been holding back his anger these days, and now he fought like a madman, desperately attacking Wang Meng.

At the beginning, Gong Yu fought fiercely and brutally. Despite having only one hand, Wang Meng felt it was very difficult to handle, defending more and attacking less.

However, after twenty moves, Gong Yu gradually fell into a disadvantage, after all, he was missing a hand.

In the past when Gong Yu wielded the spear with both hands, Wang Meng was no match for him, but now Wang Meng was able to gain the upper hand.

Gong Yu feinted a thrust at Wang Meng, then suddenly his right hand made a move, and with a thunderous noise, a lightning bolt tore through the sky striking at Wang Meng.

This was Gong Yu’s Soul Skill, Lightning Blast, tremendously powerful.

However, this Soul Skill had a drawback; it always produced a loud noise first before the lightning appeared. Those unfamiliar with it could be caught off guard and killed, but Wang Meng was very familiar with Gong Yu. Hearing the loud noise, Wang Meng’s body immediately burst backward.

With a crack,

The huge lightning hit the spot where Wang Meng had just stood, shattering several square meters of ice.

Gong Yu’s Lightning Blast Soul Skill was tremendously powerful, a skill that could deal both group and single damage, but had a time limit, it could only be used once every 20 minutes.

There was an upgraded version of this Soul Skill, which could let the lightning chase the enemy and strike within five seconds, virtually impossible to defend against.

However, it required Gong Yu to upgrade to Enhanced Gene Advanced.

That’s why Xie Dong was afraid of Gong Yu upgrading to Enhanced Gene Advanced. Once Gong Yu upgraded, obtaining the evolved version of Lightning Blast, Lightning Tracking Critical Strike, Xie Dong himself would not be Gong Yu’s match.

Xie Dong could chop off Gong Yu’s hand, but he couldn’t sever his Soul Skill.

Seeing his Soul Skill countered, Gong Yu immediately roared and transformed into a ten-meter-long Lightning Leopard, pouncing towards Wang Meng.

Regrettably, because Gong Yu’s left hand was chopped off, this Beast Soul lost one left forepaw, and though it looked impressive, it ultimately had reduced offensive combat power.

Wang Meng sneered coldly, immediately transforming into a several meters long giant crocodile, opening its huge maw, and began fighting with the Lightning Leopard.

Gong Yu’s four Genetic Attributes are slightly higher than Wang Meng’s, but the Beast Soul Lightning Leopard has lost one of its forepaws and is compromised in both attack and leap capabilities.

The two giant beasts roared and fought relentlessly on the ice.

In the midst of the chaotic battle, Wang Meng’s giant crocodile bit the severed left forearm of the Lightning Leopard. Gong Yu, without struggling, slammed his claw onto the giant crocodile’s left eye, gouging it out.

Suffering pain, Wang Meng howled and retreated explosively, reverting to human form, clutching his bleeding left eye, and screamed:

”Damn it, are you all dead? Watching me get beaten? Go, kill him for me!”

At Wang Meng’s roar, his four companions who had been watching the fight immediately charged to attack Gong Yu, with one being a Bird Beast Soul, flying into the air and shooting Fiery Feather Arrows at Gong Yu.

The other two are Werewolves, and one Elemental Mage.

Although these four were only at the Enhanced Gene Primary Level, Gong Yu, having lost a hand and now injured, was at a disadvantage against the four. He was struck several times by the two Werewolves, spitting out blood, and also hit by a Fireball from the Elemental Mage, sending his body flying.

Gong Yu got up from the ground, recklessly stuffed a few Small Blood Pills into his mouth, his hair disheveled, his eyes bloodshot, and with a Lightning Spear in his right hand, he roared and charged towards the Elemental Mage.

The two Werewolves immediately caught up to block him. Gong Yu didn’t guard and was struck by two blows from the Werewolves but at the same time leaped forward and thrust, his Lightning Spear unexpectedly flying out of his hand and piercing the chest of the Elemental Mage.

The Elemental Mage fell onto the ice.

Enraged, Wang Meng rejoined the fray. Gong Yu couldn’t withstand the attack from three people and the Feathered Arrows from the sky, being repeatedly hit and covered in numerous wounds, his flesh a bloody blur.

Fortunately, having consumed a few Small Blood Pills earlier, his wounds were slowly self-healing.

Biting his teeth in determination, Gong Yu continued struggling against Wang Meng and the others, managing to land a hit on each of the two Werewolves.

”Gong Yu, I must kill you today, skin you alive,” Wang Meng growled.

Having lost an eye, Wang Meng was extremely angry, an injury Small Blood Pills couldn’t heal since the eye was already clawed out by Gong Yu.

When someone transforms into their Beast Soul for battle, injuries to the Beast Soul are injuries to the person.

With blood all over his face, Gong Yu sneered:

”Come on, even if I die today, I’ll take one of you with me.”

”Charge, kill him.”

Wang Meng yelled the above and led the charge.

Gong Yu suddenly stopped moving, a sinister smile on his face.

Boom, there was a loud explosion in the air, and a bolt of lightning struck down.

”Holy shit!”

Wang Meng immediately retreated explosively, but the other two Werewolves weren’t quick enough to dodge, and were hit by Gong Yu’s Lightning Strike, instantly turning to charred corpses.

Gong Yu was enduring desperately, all for this moment to recover his Soul Skill.

Bang!

A Fiery Flame Feather exploded in front of Gong Yu, his body trembled, and he was blown several meters away, falling onto the ice.

Wang Meng charged over, stomping on Gong Yu’s back, and with a crack, Gong Yu felt two ribs on his back break, a piercing pain ensued, and he violently coughed up blood.

Wang Meng, stepping on Gong Yu’s back, gripped his Longsword with both hands and stabbed towards Gong Yu’s back.

”You bastard, go to hell!”
