What Do You Mean I Have To Comprehend Dao As A Mortal God?

”Don’t look but... Those friends of yours are behind you right now,” I whispered.

All three of her froze up the moment she heard me.

I lowered my voice even more, ”Just act normal. You’ll draw less attention to yourself. They haven’t spotted you yet.”

She gave me a small nod before she went back to eating the sweets in front of her.

Even though she was trying her best to look normal, it was clear that she was being conscious of the direction of those girls.

At least they were too busy talking to each other to notice the rest of the store for now.

”Are they still messing with you?” I asked.

She paused for a moment, ”When they see me... I guess...”

”Do they stay near us?”

”In the area, yes...”

”What do they even have on you that prevents you from fighting back? Are you worried that they would go to the police if you beat them up or something?”

”No... Just... It’s fine, Gor Gor... Just ignore them...”

”You said we wouldn’t be seeing them anymore but it looks like to me that we would still be meeting them quite often...”

”It’s... It’s fine, Gor Gor... You don’t need to worry about them... Really.”

”If they give you trouble, tell me. I will deal with them for you. The only person who can bully you is me, you understand?”

Despite the situation, my sister managed to giggle at my words, ”Of course, Gor Gor. And little sisters belong to their big brothers, right?”

Not sure what she meant by that but I knew better than to refute her so I just agreed with her for now.

I also started shovelling some of the sweets into my mouth as well, helping her finish the food faster so we could leave faster too.

In less than a few minutes, the entire table was clean off food and I nodded at her to leave.

She had to move all three of her clones together since suddenly dematerialising two of them would also draw a commotion and she hurried out of the store while I went over to the cashier to pay.

Those girls don’t seem to recognise me so that was a good sign and I quickly let the staff tap my card on the machine before I headed outside where my sister was waiting for me.

”Alright, let’s go--” My words died in my mouth when I realised my sister was not alone.

She was surrounded by a girl and a few other boys her age, all of them looking at her with mocking gazes.

”Wah, really sia. Look at her splitting herself into three.”

”Hui Zhen, getting three times the benefits ah? Not bad ah?”

”I bet she’s playing the triplets card so the sucker will pay her three times as well.”

Faced with all of them, my sister was just looking down at the ground and doing her best to stick as close to the wall as she could.

I furrowed my brows at the sight and stormed over to them, rolling back my shoulders as I stood right behind them.

”Can I help all of you?” I asked.

All of them turned to stare at me in surprise.

One of the guys scowled at me, ”What you want? You think you white knight ah?”

I was going to tell them that they were talking to my sister when the person in question rushed towards me with all three of herself.

”What took you so long? Let’s go! Let’s go!”

She started pulling me away before I could say anything, obviously trying to get used out of there.

But before we could get far, the door to the cafe opened and those girls we saw earlier stepped out and blocked her way.

”Eyo, Hui Zhen! Where are you going? Why didn’t you give your old friends a call that you’re here?!” One of the girls smirked.

Judging by how my sister recoiled the moment she saw her, I think I can safely say that this person was most likely the leader of this group.

Looking at her up and down, she had the stereotypical mean girl look where she was wearing a sleeveless top and a tube skirt with baggy socks and trainers.

Her black hair was also dyed with blonde streaks and there were piercings on her ear and nose, marking her as a hooligan in our society.

Last I remembered seeing her, she did not look like this. At least she didn’t have the piercings and the dyed hair...

Which means she got them shortly after she graduated from Junior College...

I guess since universities don’t have a strict dress code, assuming she go into one, people like her decided to just let themselves loose.

I’m just glad my sister isn’t such a person.

My sister hid behind me with all three of her bodies, not that it helped since there was another group of them behind us as well.

The girl in front of me smirked when she saw how scared my sister looked and directed her gaze to me who remained standing between them.

”Eh, brother. You don’t look too bad yourself leh. Let me give you some advice hor. Those girls ah, she not as nice as you think. You think you dating triplets ah? They are all the same person. She can split herself into multiple copies and she does that to get suckers like you to give her more money.”

I know for a fact that my sister has never done something like compensated dating or even anything remotely close to that.

How do I know?

Come on, I’m her big brother. I know everything about her.

Except... I suppose, the fact that she’s being bullied by these punks. And that’s something I’m going to fix right now.

”She’s not that kind of person,” I sneered.

”Oh! I thought you didn’t know! Sorry, sorry! You’re just some pervert who gets off on throwing money away at girls is it? Hahaha! Eh, I tell you what lah. You just walk away now. We got nothing against you. Just leave her here can liao.”

”That is my sister you are talking to.”

Unexpectedly, when I declared that she was my sister, all the girls froze up and looked at me up and down before looking at my sister who had decided to merge herself back into one to hide behind me.

Why are they all so surprised?

Sure, I’ve never actually met them officially before but I’m pretty sure they all know she has a brother at the very least. I’ve at least heard her telling me that she talked to her friends about me and my work as a Vanguard before so the people she is and was close to should at least know she has a sibling.

One of the girls behind whispered almost inaudibly, ”Damn... I would understand if I had a brother like that too.”

I’m not sure what that person was talking about but the girl in front of me smirked again, ”Eyo~ So you are Hui Zhen’s brother ah? Not bad ah, not bad ah. Hui Zhen got tell you about us or not?”

I narrowed my eyes at her, ”She doesn’t have to, I can see for myself. You guys are having a lot of fun bullying her aren’t you?”

”Aiyah, where got bully? It’s all just playing one! Right Hui Zhen?”

My sister sunk further behind me, fully hiding herself behind my back.

The girl clucked her tongue, ”Oi! Don’t like that lah! Help a sister out leh. Tell your bro we’re best friends, right! After all, you told me so much about him already leh! Now I’m interested in him! You remember what you tell me or not?”

I felt my sister shiver and I gave the girl in front of me a look, ”Enough. Step aside. We’re leaving.”

”Eh, don’t go so fast leh. At least give me your number first.”

”Fuck off.”

One of the guys, presumably someone who has feelings for this girl and is a simp for her, quickly stepped in front of me with his chest pumped up.

”Oi! Who do you think you are? You better watch your mouth hor!”

I glared right back at him, ”Or you’ll what?”

”You never get punched before ah?!”

”Better people than you have tried to. You won’t be anywhere better.”

My words seemed to have ticked him off because he pulled back his hand and tried to punch me across the face.

I could have dodged it but I chose not to and just stayed in the path of his fist and only slightly raised my head so that his knuckle was headed directly for my jawbone.

There was a rather loud crack as his fist made contact with me, the only thing was that the sound was the result of him possibly breaking the bones in his hand as Dan’s ability ensured that this boy basically just tried to punch a brick wall.

The guy let out a cry and fell to the ground while holding his broken hand pathetically.

The other boys immediately surrounded me and raised their fists, clearly intent to take revenge.

Are you serious? Did you guys not see your bro here breaking his fist by punching me? What do you think will happen if-- Ah fuck it, come on then. Let’s get this over with.
