What Do You Mean I Have To Comprehend Dao As A Mortal God?

That’s... Kris, right?

And... He’s wearing a dress... And high heels... And it looks like he even made up his hair and put ribbons and accessories in his hair too.

I thought he was wearing long socks under that dress but he did a spin and the skirt fluttered to reveal he was wearing black pantyhose under there.

And of course, he noticed me standing at the doorway...

He froze up mid pose where one of his feet was lifted up in that cutesy angle you might see from those popular idols.

His face then started turning bright red all the way up to his ears and I thought that I should at least say something instead of just staring at him.

”Ahem... The door wasn’t closed properly and I heard some groaning sounds so... I thought you were in trouble... Umm... You are Kris right?”

He hid his face with his hands, ”Eh? Ah... Umm... Eh? Ah... What... Mo... Mortal God? Wait... Umm... Please wait...”

Yeah, that voice is definitely Kris’s voice so there’s no mistaking it.

I was thinking that it might be a case where he has a twin sister or something and the two of them were taking turns playing the role of Kris or... Maybe he has some other power that causes him to switch to a girl at night.

”Umm... I don’t know if there’s some kind of weird circumstance that caused you to dress so cutely but--”

He suddenly ran up and appeared in front of me, his eyes shining brightly.

”Did you mean that, Mortal God?! Did you really mean that?! You’re not just saying that right?!”

Erm... That’s a rather weird reaction to this...

But if I was going to be honest...

Kris was pretty much a pretty boy to begin with and if you just look at his face... You could say that he was androgynous looking.

Now he’s wearing this frilly dress and he even went ahead to doll up his hair... I can’t say anything aside from him looking cute.

It’s not that I’m gay or anything but I can at least admit that something or someone is cute even without sexual attraction, you know?

”Well... You really do look cute in this...” I admitted.

His tail and cat ears twitched noticeably.

”Really, really?”

”Really, really.”

”Ehehehe... Cute... I’m cute...” He muttered while squirming.

He fidgeted and twirled his fingers in front of him while his cat ears twitched cutely like he was embarrassed.

What is this...

I couldn’t help myself so I reached out my hand and started patting his head.

I was so distracted by the ears that I did that unconsciously and that made Kris freeze up again, prompting me to snatch back my hand.

”Ah! I’m sorry! I just did that unconsciously because you looked cute!”

”Ehehehe~ That’s... That’s fine! Because... Because I’m cute~ Hehehe~”

Right... I guess I should just address it.

”So... Why are you... Umm... If you want to talk about it?”

He sobered up quite quickly and his tail and ears drooped.

I turned back and the door was still open so I went ahead to summon my hand to press the button to close the door.

With the door closed, I turned back to face him, ”Only if you want to talk about it, ok? You don’t need to feel pressured.”

He shook his head, ”No... It’s alright... I think... I wanted to be found out after all... So I can talk to someone about it... Umm... If you don’t mind listening to me?”

Hmm? Wait a minute... Did Olivia already know about this? Is that why she specifically told me to come check on my Guardians?

I won’t be surprised if this was actually the case.

I nodded and gestured inside the room, indicating we should take a seat instead of just standing at the entrance.

Unexpectedly, as we walked over to the couch, he reached up to pinch the edge of my sleeve to walk over there and sat down with his legs together, choosing the spot beside me instead of across from me.

I didn’t question it and just sat there waiting for him to speak first.

He sucked in a breath before exhaling deeply, ”I... Like cute stuff.”

...

Ok? Err... That’s it? I was expecting more to that? Or did he just stop talking and change his mind about confiding me?

That’s when he turned to peek at me to check my reaction and I realised that he really meant for that to be some kind of big reveal.

I tilted my head, ”Umm... Good for you? You do look cute in that?”

He blinked at me, clearly not expecting me to have that reaction.

”Umm... Do you not feel anything, Mortal God?”

I raised an eyebrow at him, ”What did you expect me to feel?”

”Disgust? Umm... Anger? I dunno...”

”The only thing I’m feeling is confusion. Confusion at why you even thought I would be disgusted or angry.”

He gestured at himself, ”I mean... Shouldn’t I dress differently? These clothes... Aren’t for me, right?”

I shrugged, ”I honestly don’t really care about that? I mean... My belief is that people are free to do whatever they want as long as they don’t hurt anyone else nor force other people to do what they don’t want to do. That’s all. You like cute things so you dress in cute clothes and make yourself cuter, that’s fine with me. I’m not going to be angry at you for doing what you want.”

He blinked at me, ”Is... Is that normal here? Be... Because if it was back in my world... I was supposed to be the prince... If I was ever caught wearing clothes like this, I would face a lot of criticism...”

I grimaced, ”Well... I would say it’s definitely not normal here either... Like people might think that you’re weird and stuff like that and if you were in a more conservative family, you might also face issues like being disowned... So it’s definitely not considered a ’norm’ here either. But I would say that it’s at least more accepting?”

He looked down at himself, ”Then... If I were to... Dress like this normally... Do you think I would be accepted?”

I crossed my arms, ”To be perfectly honest. Not at all.”

He looked back up at me, his face ashen.

I then shook my head, ”But why do you care? What does the opinions of other people matter here? You want to look cute and you want to dress cutely. The only thing that’s stopping you from doing that is the fear of rejection from others, right? I may have only been with all of you for a short time but I think that I at least understand everyone here to a reasonable degree. And I wholeheartedly believe that no one in this tower will reject you because you want to wear cute clothes like this. For this in particular, I would say if you’re worried about being accepted or rejected, you just need to seek out the opinions of the people you care for the most.”

He looked up at me, ”Then... What do you think about me like this, Mortal God?”

”Well... I did say you look cute, didn’t I?”

His ears twitched cutely and he averted his gaze, ”Heeeeh... Then... If I say... I want to keep dressing like this... Would you mind?”

”Not really? If that’s what you prefer. Though in a fight...”

He turned back to grin at me, ”Oh don’t worry, I have clothes that I wear specifically for fights~ I wouldn’t want to ruin the cute clothes I’m wearing because some Anomaly rips them up with their claws after all! These clothes are for special occasions... And when I am on my down time~”

I smiled back at him as well, ”Then I see no issue.”

He hopped off the couch to turn to me, ”Hehehe~ Thank you, Mortal God! I should have told you about this sooner! Now it feels like a weight has been lifted off my tail!”

He then did a twirl which made the hem of his skirt raise up, granting me a peek of his thighs which honestly felt a little criminal seeing how feminine he was.

His smile then turned a little mischievous, ”Mortal God... Hehehe... No, I think... I should just be like Avatasia and Olivia and give you a nickname too~ You don’t mind, right?”

I shook my head, ”I already think that calling me by ’Mortal God’ is already a little too stiff after all so... Go ahead.”

The edges of his lips curled up even more and he leaned forward towards me, his face just an inch away from mine.

”Then in that case... I shall be in your care... My Master~”

...

Eh?

He leaned back and straightened himself, his face blushing red despite the same mischievous smile on his face.

”You own me now, Master~ I’m looking forward to being yours~”

...

I... Did not see that coming...
