Wizard starting from shoeing donkeys

Chapter 1654 -

Rein even saw several tall Elf elders around the Empireʼs top brass, led by none other than the Elf Clanʼs Druid Grand Elder, Auburn Moonblade.

Clearly, the Elves were here for support.

As for Goddess Matilda, she remained hidden in the distance as a backup strategy.

”It seems the energy absorbed from devouring life last time has been exhausted. This time, it needs to expand further,” Rein furrowed his brow and said.

He had previously gained a detailed understanding of the Fiend Demonʼs fighting style through Goddess Matilda.

The Fiend Demonʼs level is exceptionally high, and even Goddess Matilda, as a True God at the Sun God Throne level, cannot completely annihilate the core of the evil qi.

As long as the evil qi core remains, the evil qi will slowly revive and grow stronger.

The only way is to use the second key of the Divine Artifact Time Key to consume the evil qi core.

This was also the tactic adopted by Goddess Matilda at the time, using her own lifespan to drive the second key to consume the evil qi, then sealing the remaining Fiend Demon.

Thus, although the battle was ultimately won, Goddess Matildaʼs long life was mostly consumed.

Apart from the Fiend Demon core, creatures infected by evil qi are resolved with varying difficulty depending on the concentration of the evil qi.

Generally, Legendary Level infection creatures facing an equivalent level of Fire Element energy will be severely injured, while Epic-level Fire Element energy can completely eradicate this part of the evil qi.

But if the opponent is Epic-level high concentration evil qi, it becomes quite troublesome.

It seems that only he can easily resolve this. Even a Dawn Late Stage wizard finds it extremely difficult to completely eliminate this part of the evil qi.

This is why the battle with the Fiend Demon is so difficult because with one slip, getting injured makes one highly susceptible to infection, and complete eradication is extremely challenging...

Reinʼs figure flickered again and appeared beside Red Queen Menia, saying, ”I am here.”

Seeing Reinʼs arrival, everyone from the Imperial Guardians to the elite troops in the Armed Airships breathed a sigh of relief.

Their Demigod had finally arrived!

The enemy was overwhelmingly powerful and frightening. Its terrifying height of hundreds of meters alone was enough to bring despair.

Even the ʼRed Dragon Kingʼ Straz was like an adult compared to a three-year-old child when standing next to it, the gap was simply too vast.

”Rein, the Fiend Demonʼs aura seems to have become stronger,” Menia said, furrowing her delicate brows.

”Yes, each time, it can draw energy from the infected creatures.”

”By the way, hasnʼt the Floating City been repaired?”

”Not yet, but even if the Floating City were repaired, it might not be suitable for battle against the Fiend Demon.”

”Hmm?”

”Because beneath the Floating City, thereʼs another Fiend Demon sealed. I worry...” Rein said gravely.

Actually, neither Goddess Matilda nor he had figured out the relationship between the floating Fiend Demon and the one at Cologne Cathedral.

Are they multiple bodies of the same entity?

Or is each an independent Fiend Demon entity?

According to the incomplete ancient records, these evil beings were creations of the void overlord, arriving in this world at different times.

The most obvious evidence is the near twenty-thousand-year gap between the era of the Ancient Goblins and that of Goddess Matilda.

So Rein was more inclined to think they belong to different Fiend Demon entities.

But the key issue is that it seems the Fiend Demons can split, merge, and reorganize at will.

This means if an unforeseen situation occurs that allows the two Fiend Demons to merge, even Rein himself may not be able to cope with such a scenario.

So, the current Floating City still hovers above the Shirendil Plateau, relying on abundant resources and the Mechanical Associationʼs manpower, fully engaged in repairs.

”I understand, this approach is indeed safer,” Menia nodded.

Suddenly, a mighty roar interrupted their conversation.

”Roar!!!”

With a roar from the Fiend Demon above Cologne Cathedral, a terrifying infernal sound swept the surroundings.

Under its command, the infected creatures roared and howled towards the human alliance, as if preparing to launch an attack!

Faced with the Fiend Demonʼs restless intentions, Menia first nodded to Rein, then used sound transmission witchcraft to mobilize:

”I am Menia Dragon. Here, I see an army composed of the Empire, Federation, and even Elves, fighting against the Fiend Demonʼs invasion!”

”This scene is so familiar!”

”Just like ten thousand years ago, when Goddess Matilda led humans and various races against the Fiend Demon and against the Evil God, it is so similar.”

”Ladies and gentlemen, we are all humans. Facing such cruel and heartless monsters as the Fiend Demon, we all feel fear in our hearts.”

”But if you choose to turn and flee now, you might survive by chance, but one day, would you regret todayʼs cowardice?”

”And if you stay, though you may fall in battle, you can proudly tell everyone that you bravely fought to defend your home and protect your loved ones! You can proudly tell the Fiend Demon that we humans never surrender!”

”Ladies and gentlemen, honor is with us! I stand with you!!”

Meniaʼs pre-battle mobilization was powerful and resonated like a mental witchcraft, deafening and inspiring.

Thousands, whether in the sky or on the ground, regardless of status or strength, overcame their fears, raised and waved their weapons high, shouting:

”Honor is with us!”

”Honor is with us!”

...

However, the roar from the alliance completely enraged the Fiend Demon!

Those flying minions centered around infected Giant Dragons descended like a black waterfall, rushing towards the airborne alliance!

And on the ground, thousands of infected surged towards the allianceʼs ground defenses like a zombie siege.

The fierce battle erupted instantly!
