Chapter 22 – 21 Lady Creya’s Guidance

The triggering event that had just taken place gave Rein a deeper understanding of his golden finger.

Rein glanced at it, and this time the Giant Bear Breathing Technique lv1 (1/100) was displayed on the Militia panel, which was probably because there was no other more suitable Profession panel available.

Obviously, it would have been even less suitable to show the Breathing Technique in the Blacksmith Apprentice’s Profession panel.

As Rein pondered the conditions for advancement, this time he managed to maintain the first posture of the Giant Bear Breathing Technique for an entire fifteen minutes, which was undoubtedly a huge improvement compared to the previous five minutes.

This made Cleya, who was observing Rein from the side, smile and nod, saying, “Very good, Rein, once you can maintain the first move for over half an hour, you can then try the second move.”

Although Rein’s Constitution was a bit weak, his comprehension was excellent and he learned quickly!

In fact, Rein’s ability to sustain it for so long this time was not without the aid of a wandering mind technique.

Meanwhile, the Chief Maid Shadia was looking at Rein with a face full of amazement.

“With such a rate of improvement, no wonder Lady Cleya holds Rein in a different regard. It seems that when it comes to recognizing people, the young lady’s vision is indeed much stronger than mine.”

[Congratulations! Your Constitution Attribute has increased!]

Rein was startled and immediately focused his attention on the panel, where he noticed his Constitution had unexpectedly changed from five points to six points.

He remembered clearly that he hadn’t spent any points just now.

What was going on?

Neither of his two professions, Blacksmith Apprentice and Militia, had gained a level, so why did his Constitution suddenly increase?

Rein began to speculate.

Was it due to practicing the Giant Bear Breathing Technique?

This effect was too immediate!

Wait, it couldn’t be entirely due to the Giant Bear Breathing Technique.

His previous swordsmanship training must have also laid a certain foundation, and his Constitution was already on the verge of breaking through. Practicing the Giant Bear Breathing Technique today was an opportunity.

This explanation was the most fitting for the situation.

What an unexpected joy!

After the increase, Rein immediately felt all the fatigue in his body dissipate.

Thus, when he attempted the first posture of the Giant Bear Breathing Technique for the third time, perhaps due to the slight increase in Constitution, he directly extended the duration to around twenty-two minutes, shocking the Chief Maid Shadia once again!

And Cleya, who stood nearby, also nodded in satisfaction at this moment.

A very good Knight talent!

Rein, dripping with sweat, finished his third attempt. Then, he suddenly thought of a question and, after some consideration, asked, “Lady Cleya, do you know the fastest time someone has taken to master the first posture of the Giant Bear Breathing Technique?”

Rein’s question was truly not to boast, but to understand his current level.

He wanted to avoid standing out too much and being considered a freak!

Cleya answered with a light smile, “As far as I know, the fastest person to learn the first posture of the Giant Bear Breathing Technique took about five minutes. After spending five minutes to grasp the essentials, that person then proceeded to maintain the posture for over thirty minutes straight.”

This made Rein’s expression freeze, giving him the feeling that he was the fool he had been laughing at!

“Alright, that’s enough for today! Rein, you should go back and rest. For the next few days, a maid will bring you here, and the Giant Bear Breathing Technique scroll will be kept safe by Shadia.”

“Yes, Lady Cleya, Chief Maid Shadia, then I will take my leave,” Rein said, bowing slightly. He left the back garden under the guidance of the original maid.

On his way back, Rein’s initially excited mood gradually calmed down as he seriously contemplated an issue.

Today, he had obtained the Giant Bear Breathing Technique because Lady Cleya saw potential in his talent.

Otherwise, even with a system, if he wanted to step onto the Transcendent path, it would probably be a long journey ahead.

For the commoners of this world, stepping onto the Transcendent path is much more difficult than it is for noble scions!

For example, after Rein entered his room, he first ate a piece of savage bear meat, which was completely different from the meat he usually ate; obviously, this type of meat was either extremely valuable or very difficult to capture.

Without the backing of a power, ordinary commoners could hardly afford it.

Rein thought to himself that without eating this piece of explosive bear meat, his current Constitution wouldn’t have been able to support him practicing the first form of the Giant Bear Breathing Technique continuously.

Secondly, the black balsam oil he had used during the practice of the Giant Bear Breathing Technique. The recipe for it must be top secret, and the raw materials difficult to collect, of course, it might also be that the production process was complicated.

He had just experienced it himself, practicing with and without the black balsam oil was completely different.

The efficiency of his practice was at least three to five times worse.

Looking at the Experience, one was a half-hour without any increase, but once he used the black balsam oil, it went up by five points in half an hour, the difference was huge.

The third point was the advanced Magic Potion that Cleya had casually mentioned. Although he still didn’t know what it was, it seemed essential. Even for Cleya, when she mentioned this Magic Potion, her face showed a slightly furrowed brow.

Clearly, the advanced Magic Potion must be incredibly precious.

All in all, if he wanted to proceed smoothly on the Transcendent path, he needed money and the support of a major power behind him!

This required showing others his value!

This point, whether in his past life or this one, had not changed.

After returning to the servant dormitory, George was the first to run over and ask,

“Rein, what did the Chief Maid want with you?”

The entire servant dormitory immediately quieted down. Rein looked around and saw that nearly every servant boy had pricked up their ears to listen.

Rein couldn’t help but laugh and said, “Guess!”

“Get out of here!” George said with a laugh and a curse, his face full of expectation.

However, since his close buddy didn’t say anything, George didn’t ask further, but the other servant boys were itching with curiosity!

“No wonder Rein dared to fight with Thick-Brows; turns out his family knows the Chief Maid.”

“Yeah, it seems that Rein’s family is not simple at all!”

“But, how come I heard that Rein is just the son of a farmer?”

“….”

A dreamless night!

The next day, the entry-level training with the dog trainer, was still about playing with little dogs!

According to the old man, the purpose of this training was to increase the intimacy between the dog and its owner.

But this made Rein feel like he was wasting his life!

“I want to practice swordsmanship!”

“I want to practice breathing techniques!”

All these thoughts crowded Rein’s mind.

However….Rein still held onto the hope that he might trigger another Profession panel like Beast Tamer or Beast Taming, so he didn’t make excuses to take leave.

After ending a day’s training with the dogs, Rein followed the beautiful maid once again to Lady Cleya’s study.

He ate another piece of explosive bear meat; this time Rein took a careful look at the cut—it seemed to be bear ribs.

Feeling unsated, Rein then thought about something.

Isn’t it said that the best part of the bear is the bear’s paw?

Too bad he had never eaten it in his previous life.

He hoped to have a chance to taste it this time—the paw of this explosive bear should be even more delicious than a regular bear’s paw.

Rein had assumed that today would be the same as yesterday—to continue practicing the Giant Bear Breathing Technique.

But today Cleya proposed a spar with Rein after he had practiced the first form of the Giant Bear Breathing Technique just once.

This filled Rein with unexpected joy!

He had been playing with dogs during the day for the past two days, with almost no improvement in basic swordsmanship, and now the opportunity to spar was better than ever!
