Apocalypse: Goddess Catalog, Starting With Twin Sisters!

Chapter 201: Chapter 194: Giant Turtle

Mengde’s Yulong Island was surrounded by water on three sides.

So, it was no surprise that it had a beach.

Mengde had often brought his women here to have some fun.

After all, sunbathing on the beach was a great pastime, wasn’t it?

Especially with so many beautiful women at home, all with such amazing figures. It would be a shame not to take them out to play.

So when Mengde brought two of his women here today, he had come fully prepared to have a good time.

But unexpectedly, the moment he arrived today, he immediately sensed that something was wrong.

Perhaps it was because he had just acquired a new Water Superpower the night before, but he subconsciously activated it.

This was a bay, after all!

His SSS-Level Water Superpower was instantly pushed to its absolute limit here.

His sensitivity to the waters of Yulong Bay was clearly much greater than before.

Combined with his Telekinesis Perception, the range of his awareness had expanded considerably.

As a result, he discovered things he had never noticed before.

Right now, within the range of his Telekinesis Perception, the water’s surface looked the same as always.

It was a brilliant azure, sparkling and as clear as a mirror.

Sunlight danced on the finely rippled surface, blanketing it in a layer of shimmering, shattered silver.

It was dazzling.

It looked no different than before.

But looking beneath the calm surface revealed an utterly terrifying scene.

Many of the underwater creatures had already mutated.

They had become Mutant Creatures.

Tier One, Tier Two, and Tier Three superpowered creatures were everywhere!

There were even quite a few at Tier Four and above.

’Looks like the underwater creatures didn’t escape the apocalyptic virus either,’ Mengde thought.

He wasn’t surprised by this.

After all, the apocalypse was a global event.

No living thing could escape it.

Every living thing either got infected by the airborne virus or attacked by zombies—turning into those things that were neither human nor ghost—or they survived the ordeal, Awakened a Superpower, and became a Superpower User.

There were no other possibilities.

What he hadn’t expected, however, was just how many Mutant Creatures were down there.

There were more of them than all the Superpower Users under his command.

’This won’t do,’ he thought, narrowing his eyes.

For now, these underwater Mutant Creatures were staying put.

Their aquatic environment limited them, preventing them from coming ashore to attack.

But if they evolved to the point where they could leave the water and move on land, that would be a huge problem.

Given his base’s current strength, dealing with that would be a real challenge.

The most terrifying part was what Mengde’s careful observation revealed.

There were two Tier Six Mutated Water Beasts at the bottom!

One of them was right beneath the water, not far from the beach.

’I have to find a way to deal with this in advance!’

Striking first was always better than waiting to be attacked.

Mengde absolutely refused to let a time bomb tick away right under his nose.

Especially one that could go off at any moment.

Beside him, Jiayi and Fei’er, who had just finished wiping the milk from the corners of their mouths, noticed something was amiss.

”Honey, what’s wrong?”

Mengde raised an eyebrow but didn’t want to worry them.

”It’s nothing. Just a little something in the water.”

As he spoke, he had the two women back away.

In his Telekinesis Perception, he could sense it.

The creature that had been lying quietly in the water near the shore seemed to have detected something and was now charging toward the beach.

Its target was his exact position.

Seeing this, Mengde didn’t hold back.

He spun around and unleashed a Superpower straight into the water before him.

In the next second, a massive Thunder Palm, crackling with lightning, descended from the sky and smashed directly onto the water’s surface.

The immense power generated a shockwave.

It expanded outward in a sphere, collapsing the water beneath it into a crater a hundred meters in diameter.

The walls of water at the crater’s edge rose at supersonic speeds, forming a circular waterfall as tall as a thirty-story building.

Countless silver-blue arcs of electricity ricocheted between the curtains of water, blasting the spray into boiling steam.

The sudden commotion startled Jiayi and Fei’er.

At first, the two women had no idea what was happening.

’What’s gotten into Honey?’ they wondered. ’Why is he venting his anger on the water all of a sudden?’

’Could it be that... he still wasn’t satisfied from before?’

Just as they were pondering this...

...the change in the water’s surface made them instantly understand their husband’s intentions.

The previously calm surface suddenly erupted into a tempestuous upheaval.

A colossal wave surged dozens of meters into the air.

It looked just like the prelude to a tsunami.

Then, with a deafening roar, a gigantic water turtle’s head emerged from the waves.

Er... a proper turtle head, that is.

As the spray fell away, its entire body was revealed!

The water turtle was green all over and nearly ten meters long!

Aside from its vibrant green head, its shell was a dark green that transitioned into a translucent, crystalline material.

Upon closer inspection, one could see ice-blue Rune Chains formed from condensed, liquid Spiritual Qi flowing within it.

It looked absolutely mystical!

Along the edge of each scute grew coral-like Purple Thunder Crystal Clusters.

Its pupils were split into three concentric golden rings that shot out arcs of electricity as they opened and closed.

Its lower jaw had evolved luminous, Merfolk-like barbels, which could extend into thirty-meter-long tentacles of liquid energy when it channeled its Superpower.

Its once-clumsy limbs had now transformed into weapons of slaughter like black iron—three-edged amethyst bone spurs jutted out from its front claw joints.

Unstable plasma arcs swirled around the tip of each spur, leaving behind ethereal blue afterimages whenever it swiped through the water.

The scales covering its legs had a carbon fiber-like texture.

Visible beneath its skin, liquid energy surged through fluorescent veins like lava flowing through fissures in volcanic rock.

The two women were stunned by the sudden appearance of the giant turtle.

They had never seen a turtle so enormous!

Unlike them, however, Mengde had already seen it with his Telekinesis Perception.

So he wasn’t as surprised now.

But with just a single glance, Mengde knew this water turtle was no ordinary creature.

Especially after seeing the system notification that followed.

[Mutant Creature: Profound Water Heavy Turtle]

[Awakened Superpower: Profound Water Heavy Strike (S-Class Water Superpower)]

[Superpower Level: Tier Six Middle Stage]

[Affinity: -10]

Mengde was a little puzzled when he saw the system’s notification.

He had clearly seen an aura of crackling Thunder spreading across the turtle’s body.

But now, the system’s notification had no record of Thunder whatsoever.

’Did this turtle have another mutation, or did Tongzi mess up?’

Before Mengde could figure it out, a childish, milky voice suddenly entered his ears.

”Bad man, you disturbed my sleep.”

”I’m gonna eat you, AHHHH!”

As the voice faded, the giant water turtle opened its massive jaws toward Mengde.

Seeing their husband seemingly frozen in place, not moving an inch, Jiayi and Fei’er grew anxious.

”Honey, look out!”
