Apocalypse: Goddess Catalog, Starting With Twin Sisters!

Chapter 84: Chapter 84: Jingfu, Jingfu, the Entire Audience Cheers

He was a firm believer in seeing things through to the end.

Since he had already cleared out all the Crystal Towers in Boss Yu’s hometown, he certainly couldn’t let the last of the four major warehouses slip by!

Along the way, Mengde’s RV plowed ahead while his Flying Knives provided support.

Any zombies that got in their way were violently eliminated!

He even collected a pile of Zombie Crystal Cores along the way.

The many beautiful women from Bikang could only stare in astonishment!

It wasn’t as if they had never gone out to scavenge for supplies themselves.

But every single time, they had to be incredibly careful, terrified of being spotted by zombies.

They had never seen anyone so brazenly charge head-on against zombies like this. It was a first for them!

Watching him, the women thought it was utterly savage!

Inside the RV, Lin Aoxue and the other former CEOs and executives from the Trillion Company were also dumbfounded!

But they were stunned for a different reason: the sheer luxury of the Goddess’s interior.

They considered themselves worldly and experienced, but this was a true eye-opener!

Led by Jiayi, they eagerly began their tour, feeling very much like Granny Liu entering the Grand View Garden.

At first, Lin Aoxue had been concerned about their safety, but after seeing Mengde dispose of the zombies so cleanly and efficiently,

she decided to just lie back and enjoy the ride.

An hour later, Mengde’s RV reached a street near the warehouse.

The street was lined with residential buildings, and they weren’t low-end either. This was probably an area where only comfortably well-off families could afford to live.

As a result, the zombies on this street were more numerous than on a typical one.

He was about to do the same as before and switch the RV to its ”brute-force steamroll” mode.

But then he noticed a group of survivors trapped within the zombie horde.

It looked like there were five or six of them.

They were currently trapped inside a BMW.

Outside, a burly man was desperately defending the car door.

He was taking them down one by one, grabbing each zombie and unleashing a flurry of savage blows.

His form was so impressive, even a legendary brawler would have to bow in respect.

Mengde’s interest was immediately piqued.

He could tell the man outside was a Superpower User.

Otherwise, there was no way he could fend off an attack from that many zombies.

Okay...

Scratch that....

What really caught his interest were the words being shouted by the five or six people inside the car.

”Go, Brother Jingfu! Kill ’em!”

’Brother Jinfu?’

’Could it be that legendary fighter, the one who takes on Japan with his fists and the West with his feet?!’

’Or that absolute beast of a man who’d knock out any ’ethereal beauty’ with a single punch?!’

A strange look crossed Mengde’s face.

He had to admit, the scene unfolding before him, with all the cheering,

...really did remind him of a favorite saying among the Yanzu-wannabes of his past life...

’Jingfu! Jingfu! The whole crowd roars in approval!’

There were too many zombies for him to get a clear look at the man.

Since he’d found survivors, Mengde decided he might as well save them.

He had to get through here anyway.

Most importantly, he had already scanned the area.

There were no mutated zombies above Tier Three in this horde.

That meant they posed little threat to him.

He activated his Telekinesis Superpower, and his thirty-six Golden Flying Knives streaked through the air in a flash of gold.

They shot toward the zombie horde ahead.

Meanwhile, in the middle of the horde, a powerfully built man was desperately swinging his fists.

Just as his strength was failing, he caught a glimpse of countless golden lights flashing past.

The next second, the horde of zombies that had been rushing to tear him to shreds suddenly froze as if someone had hit a pause button, and then collapsed to the ground.

The zombies’ heads slid from their shoulders, spilling out the Zombie Crystal Cores from within!

This sudden turn of events was so shocking that the burly man forgot to even gasp for air. He was completely dumbfounded!

”Holy shit!”

”Which expert just made a move?!”

He hadn’t heard any gunshots.

This was clearly the work of a Superpower.

Someone who could so easily deal with the zombies he’d been struggling against for ages...

...had to be a top-tier expert, without a doubt!

Just as he was wondering about this, he saw a young man get out of the RV nearby.

He didn’t recognize the youth, who looked much younger than himself.

But he wouldn’t dare underestimate him in the slightest.

”Hello. The name’s Mengde.”

”E-Expert, hello! I’m Yu Jingfu!”

’Ah, okay. One look and I can tell,’

’he’s definitely not the ’Brother Jinfu’ I was thinking of.’

A system notification popped up in Mengde’s field of vision.

[Superpower User: Yu Jingfu]

[Awakened Superpower: Mad Demon Fist Emperor (S-Level Offensive Enhancement System)]

[Mad Demon Fist Emperor: Awakening this Superpower grants a massive boost to the user’s combat abilities. At the Peak of battle, the user can activate Mad Demon Mode, a frenzy where they won’t recognize friend or foe and will even beat down their own mother and wife!!!]

[Superpower Level: Tier Two Peak]

[Affinity: 40]

[Note: 0-30: Stranger; 31-60: Friendly; 61-90: Loyal; 91-100: Undyingly Loyal]

[An Affinity score below 0 indicates malice!]

Mengde now had a general understanding.

The Enhancement System could be broadly divided into two categories: offensive and defensive.

Tiezhu, for instance, belonged to the latter!

And Yu Jingfu, the man standing before him, belonged to the former.

He was a remarkably strong Enhancement Superpower User, at that!

He was instantly filled with the desire to recruit such a talent!

’An S-Level! The only other one I have under me right now is that damn dog, Black Emperor.’

”Don’t be nervous,” Mengde said. ”I don’t mean you any harm.”

He was a little amused, seeing a man even more built than himself acting so timidly.

Hearing this, Yu Jingfu let out a sigh of relief.

After all, if the man had wanted to harm them, he could have just finished them off a moment ago.

”Your companions are in the car, right? Get them out of there,” Mengde said.

The car had likely flipped on its side while trying to evade the zombies.

The doors on one side were pinned shut.

Prompted by Mengde, Yu Jingfu quickly set the car upright again.

’This is what’s so great about Enhancement Superpower Users!’ Mengde thought.

’All that raw power!’

Soon, six burly men with builds similar to Yu Jingfu’s climbed out of the now-upright vehicle.

They all had the same simple, honest look on their faces.

When they learned that Mengde had saved them, they looked like they were about to drop to their knees and kowtow.

Mengde was left speechless.

’What the hell?’

’Are simpletons like Tiezhu being mass-produced now or something?!’

As they talked, Mengde learned more about the group’s background.

These six men, plus Yu Jingfu, had all been professional boxers before the apocalypse.

Yu Jingfu, in particular, had just won the championship title in the most recent Boxing Star tournament.

He was a true, modern-day King of Fighters.

When the apocalypse began, he awakened his Superpower almost immediately.

He and a few other boxers gathered about a hundred other survivors.

Then, they established a Survivor Base here in the Economic Development Zone, struggling to survive day by day.

But two days ago, while he was out leading a team to gather supplies,

someone destroyed the Survivor Base they had worked so hard to build.

Not only were their supplies stolen, but all of their survivors were taken away, too.

This included their families!

After some investigation, they finally identified the culprits.

The culprits were none other than the people occupying the very last warehouse on Mengde’s list.

After listening to their story, Mengde subconsciously fired back a question.

”Jingfu, is your girl from Japan in there too?”

The next second, Yu Jingfu’s face lit up with excitement as he pumped his fists.

It was as if he’d found a kindred spirit.

”Brother Mengde, don’t tell me you’re also a fan of...”
