Chapter 504: Chapter 260: Not Sent to Hell After Death

Hell, Luoying City.

In a Demon Castle, Eugene in a suit, elegantly sipping red wine, was taken aback.

He felt a sense of being called, as if it were a summoning from some world, or perhaps a ripple from some layer of Destiny.

Thump thump thump...

A hurried knocking interrupted his sensing.

The powerful Legendary power surged out, instantly opening the castle’s main door.

The visitor carried a somewhat refined aura, exuding an intellectual beauty, though the slight unnaturalness on her face somewhat diminished that charm.

”Fia? What brings you here?” Eugene teased, ”Weren’t you planning to help the lost boys of the All Heavens Gang fulfill their wishes?”

”Looks like... we’ve overplayed it...” Fia said helplessly, plopping weakly onto the sofa opposite Eugene.

”What happened?” Eugene instinctively touched his wing covered in feathers.

He had nurtured these devil wings for several years, still in feathering, and Fia’s expression made him feel a vague pain in his wings, hoping it was just a misconception...

”Lady Yuna knows Yasen is dead, she’s preparing to descend upon Luoying City... and His Majesty Foster... might not care too much about us...”

Fia, somewhat dejectedly, said, ”We might become the stepping stones for revenge. I now have no wish to see anything related to Dawn!”

Eugene was shocked, ”Lady Yuna is alerted? I told you before...”

”Expected, since Yasen was her descendant, and a very outstanding one. The death of a young and outstanding offspring demands her inquiry, I just didn’t think she would come here.”

”What do we do now?”

”Let’s take it one step at a time, surely she won’t kill us, will she? Luoying City is an order established by His Majesty Foster, an outsider Divine Level would have to give it some thought...”

”Right, uh, wait, we have had nothing to do with this from the start, so why are we worried?”

”Hmm?”

Confidence appeared in Eugene’s eyes, ”Just think about it, have I ever lied to you about this matter? Neither did you. We both spoke of our failings, and furthermore, Yasen was brought to Dawn by Jiman, nothing to do with us?”

”Including the circulating rumors, haven’t we been speaking the truth?”

Eugene affirmed, ”So, this matter has nothing to do with us...”

Fia interrupted Eugene’s presumption, calmly asking, ”I’m Tier Three, you are Tier One, would Lady Yuna care about our thoughts? Or, would His Majesty Foster refuse Lady Yuna’s request for the two of us?”

Eugene fell silent, Legendary is strong, very strong, but Legendary is graded, those who haven’t reached High Tier Legendary hardly have a say before a God.

And for a long-lived devil, from Tier One to Tier Seven is a long journey.

Eugene pondered, thought of something, a flicker of light appeared in his eyes, ”I have an idea!”

Fia perked up a bit, ”What?”

”The Rule of Roulette!” Eugene smiled, ”Though dangerous, it’s better than plane warfare. If we’re lucky, maybe just a handful of worlds and we’ll be back.”

Fia:...

The Rule of Roulette is a coercive rule of Hell where hell creatures sign mandatory tasks with the Rule of Hell, requiring them to complete tasks of corresponding grade and random quantity in All Heavens World.

Until all tasks are completed or they die, no one can allow them to return to Hell.

These tasks offer rich rewards but have obvious downsides.

The number of tasks is random, though between 1 to 100, if the roulette rolls above ten, it marks the beginning of torment.

Because until all tasks are completed, no rewards are given.

And if the number of failed tasks exceeds 30% of the total, no matter how many are completed, there will be no reward.

For any devil, this is extremely dangerous, either completing it for a big upgrade or dying in high difficulty tasks.

Fia, somewhat helpless, asked, ”Isn’t there another way?”

The world must grow, Xia shall birth the strong, like Ancient Gods, New Gods, they lead the development of the world, the stronger the God, the stronger Xia.

The Abyss wants to devour the All Heavens, sending Abyss Lords to invade All Heavens.

Hell is the same, which is why Hell has so many rules and frameworks.

”We can’t really become stepping stones, can we?”

Eugene was equally helpless, as the weak before the strong, how is it possible to avoid without paying some price?

Fia hesitated, she really didn’t want to deal with such uncertainties now.

But Yuna is Divine Level, also a devil, she doubted Yuna wouldn’t see through their simple scheme, staying here would surely make them war sacrifices.

War... is very dangerous, even if Dawn seemed weak, there resides a Tier Ten Sword Saint, such strength could kill her with one strike.

So... one side is certain death, the other, possible death...

And in her hesitation, Eugene had already stood and walked out, ”I’m going to recruit some followers, luck shouldn’t always be bad...”

Fia:... Is such life-and-death stuff decided so decisively?

She stood to follow, asking, ”Is there still a need for followers? We just need to speed through.”

”They can save a lot of effort, like when conquering a world, a devil would be exhausted to death.” Eugene said while quickening his pace, unable to stop himself from scratching the wing roots as he muttered strangely, ”Seems itchier than before, damn Human Race!”
