Chapter 479: Chapter 248: Version 2.0 Meeting

Baiyi took away the soul crystal cores and some rare resources, leaving only those allowed for civilian circulation in the treasury of the Ministry of Finance.

As for the tenth part for Sabo, he had already designated its ownership before returning to Dongwu City.

Baiyi thought a lot during this time. The Federation remained silent despite losing so much, clearly waiting for him to express his stance, and then there was the relationship with the Di Feng Family.

The Federation does not prevent Dongwu City from sharing the spoils in this reform.

After all, Dongwu City is the initiator of the reform, so with such backing, Dongwu City also has the qualification to share the Federation’s resources, but too much is too much.

Just as Sabo initially estimated, 10% was already the limit, and now he had taken 25%....

Of course, he could choose to ignore this, as the Federation couldn’t really do much against Dongwu City, and everything seemed to remain unchanged.

But that’s not a good approach; greed is acceptable, but excessive greed is not. The Federation is always a whole, and for Baiyi, who is becoming stronger, the value of the Federation is also rising.

With the Federation comes more resources and more protection.

For example, his current resources, apart from those gained by chance, basically come from the Federation. Without the Federation, many things would be inconvenient for an Alchemist.

Reflecting on this, Baiyi’s thoughts began to clear up.

If Sabo took a bit too much, then if he could give more to the Federation, the conflict wouldn’t exist.

As for how to give....

Baiyi asked Zero to connect with Metheus.

”Baiyi, what can I do for you?” Metheus’s voice was somewhat solemn, clearly indicating that the recent appearance of the Ancient God had unsettled many people.

After all, regardless of anything, it was a God.

Baiyi directly said, ”I remember the locations of some small worlds, I wonder if the Federation would be interested.”

”Small worlds?” The gravity in Metheus’s tone disappeared, replaced by a hint of surprise: ”What type are they?”

”They are fragments from the Divine War involving Xia. Due to a conflict in rules, these fragments formed several small worlds, about three of them.” Baiyi thought for a moment, ”I’m not quite sure of their exact locations, but I know the general area.”

These are not instances and don’t have any danger, but resources are relatively scarce.

Initially, Baiyi almost forgot about these places that even players didn’t want to explore.

Now, offering these places as compensation to the Federation seemed most appropriate.

These places were like those inside the Curse Doctor’s Inheritance Space, but more scarce because of the rapid decline of magic power and the loss of rules, leading these worlds into an age devoid of magic.

There is virtually no extraordinary power, and the civilizations within are advancing towards mundane human development.

For Baiyi, these small worlds held no value, and not even for the players.

Players did enjoy monster slaying, but in that plane, there were no magical beasts, only humans like themselves.

Only some twisted players enjoyed the thrill of killing to the point of conducting massacres inside.

In his previous life, Black Night Rose frantically issued tasks to players, and as they collapsed, the chaos created by the players only grew larger.

With the outside world’s vigilance from the Ancient Divine Realm, the Federation found itself too preoccupied to watch over these small worlds, eventually allowing Abyss Lords and Ancient God’s Favored to discover them, turning these once-peaceful small worlds into death traps.

But when Baiyi recalled these fleeting small worlds, he realized that they could still hold great attraction and significance for the Federation.

Because... it’s the population of three worlds!

The current Federation, amidst war and reform, barely managed to maintain its population at eight hundred million, but that was still too small for the vast Federation.

With the coordinates of three small worlds, they could adopt an upper-lower world model.

Migrate a large number of quality populations to expand the Federation’s demographic foundation.

After all, those worlds only lacked magic power, it doesn’t mean everyone there is worthless; variations exist among individuals, and perhaps some individuals who might otherwise die could be developed by the Federation?

Just like Luoning, Aileen, Sabo.

In his previous life, these people were all dead, but now they are all shining brightly.

”Of course, we are interested, but do you have more specific information, like particular resources?” Metheus’s tone held a thick layer of amusement.

Baiyi: ....

As expected, all these old people were waiting, subtly pointing at Sabo...

”Population, a massive population, although these three small worlds are not large in area, each has a population greater than the Federation’s.”

Baiyi said helplessly, ”If you don’t want them, Dongwu City will take all of them.”

”No, we want them, of course we want them. Send me the coordinates, I’ll convene a council immediately, this is very important for the Federation.” Metheus immediately replied.

Are they kidding? Who doesn’t know how important a population is? It’s not due to excessive wars or persistent Federation policies that the population hasn’t increased?

Baiyi thought of something and suggested, ”Sure, but you might consider sending some less essential people to those small worlds to retire, like... goblins, Dongwu City has been having a headache over them lately.”

”I understand, the council will consider it....” Metheus was evidently also a bit vexed.

Goblins, they excel at being a nuisance, multiply rapidly, have poor aptitude and dark personalities, and beyond being potential laborers due to their numbers, they aren’t very useful.
