Ms. Diviner: The Prodigal Daughter's Return

Chapter 1408: 1408, I’m Really Worried About Your IQ

This Heavenly Destiny Star Plate is not what she needs, and holding onto it herself won’t be of much benefit. Besides, it also recognizes Ye Yanran as its master, so leaving it to her would be more helpful. Moreover, it was originally something left behind by Ye Yanran’s great-grandmother, returning it to its rightful owner is only natural.

”Are you saying she might have awakened her innate divine abilities like us?” Tang Bufan was surprised and felt happy for Ye Yanran. He was actually not familiar with Ye Yanran at all, having never interacted with her. However, he viewed Han Yan’s friends as his friends, so he was more happy for Han Yan than Ye Yanran. After all, the stronger her friends were, the greater help they would be to her.

”It should be about the same,” Han Yan said.

She had just noticed that as the mysterious and vast power from the Heavenly Destiny Star Plate entered Ye Yanran’s Qi Sea, subtle changes occurred in her body. It’s very likely that when she wakes up, she will awaken her innate divine abilities like Huayue and others, even if she doesn’t, she will still gain significant benefits.

At this moment, Han Yan didn’t know that when she wakes up again, the benefits won’t just be for Ye Yanran alone, even she would gain quite a lot.

”I didn’t expect your strength to have improved to this stage.” Yan Yuchu said dejectedly from the side.

With the improvement in strength, he gradually managed to refine the Heavenly Star Power by himself, hence his strength progressed even faster. In the time Han Yan left Long Yan Academy and went to Shangyue, he had already reached the Sixth-level Sword Master, matching the strength Han Yan had before she left.

He originally thought that when he saw Han Yan again, if he couldn’t surpass her, he wouldn’t be far behind like before. Who knew that in just a few months, Han Yan had already advanced to the Great Sword Master Realm, widening the gap even more than before.

If it was only Han Yan improving her cultivation, that would be one thing, but even Hua Yuezi who was originally a Fourth Rank Sword Master and Jiang Yuzhe who was close to becoming his follower had reached the Ninth Rank Sword Master. Even Tang Bufan, the nobody from a civilian background, had reached the Eighth Rank Sword Master, far surpassing him.

This was unbearable for Yan Yuchu, who had been prideful since childhood. He felt so lost that he almost wanted to hang himself on a crooked tree.

Comparisons are indeed infuriating.

”Don’t be too disappointed, if we can find other Heavenly Destiny Star Plates in the future, we’ll give them to you to improve your cultivation.” Han Yan comforted, saying.

Remembering the initial disparity in strength when he first met Yan Yuchu and seeing the situation now, Han Yan understood his feelings. Moreover, since becoming allies, although they hadn’t joined forces against the temple, Yan Yuchu had indeed helped her a lot. If given the chance, Han Yan would definitely help him improve his cultivation.

”Are you serious?” Yan Yuchu’s spirit lifted, his voice trembling slightly. If it were about anything else, he wouldn’t be so shaken, but regarding the Heavenly Destiny Star Plate, he couldn’t help but be excited.

For one Heavenly Destiny Star Plate, the Yan Family and the Mu Family almost turned into enemies (in the eyes of outsiders, they actually already were). This shows the preciousness of the Heavenly Destiny Star Plate, and Han Yan making such a promise was almost unbelievable even to him.

But he also understood Han Yan’s character and knew she wouldn’t easily make promises. Once she committed, she would definitely fulfill it. Hence, amidst his excitement, Yan Yuchu was filled with gratitude towards Han Yan.

”Don’t forget, we’re allies regardless. I’m counting on you to save me when danger strikes.” Han Yan joked.

”Don’t mock me. I’m aware of my own strength; you probably won’t rely on me to save you anymore. Let’s not even mention you, even Yu Zhe and others are far stronger than me.” Yan Yuchu blushed, smiling bitterly.

”Haha, that might not be the case. Even the tiger can be bullied when it falls into the plains, let alone us. Take the sword array formation we just used; although it can forcibly enhance cultivation, it exhausts Qi tremendously, significantly decreasing strength. If we happen to encounter a formidable enemy then, we really would rely on you to save us.” Jiang Yuzhe said humbly, but with a proud look.

As soon as he finished speaking, the faces of Huayue, Han Yan, and others changed slightly.

”You jinx, every time you say something, it comes true?” Huayue stumbled slightly, hastily taking an elixir and then bitterly scolding Jiang Yuzhe.

Han Yan, Zirong, and others also showed deep fatigue, Jiang Yuzhe included. They quickly took elixirs, their expressions only marginally improved.

”Are you all right?” Yan Yuchu asked worriedly, noticing their change in expression.

”We’re fine, but Yu Zhe’s words were right, the Qi loss was significant, and our strength probably only equals a Sword Master First Rank.” Han Yan was helpless regarding Jiang Yuzhe’s jinx.

But Jiang Yuzhe couldn’t be blamed, as the significant Qi loss and temporary decline in strength were all due to the Heavenly Destiny Star Plate, nothing to do with him.

Han Yan herself didn’t realize how difficult obtaining approval from the Heavenly Destiny Star Plate would be. Although it only required a drop of blood, when the Heavenly Destiny Star Plate recognized its master and the law took effect, her Qi was largely depleted. Her strength originally relied on Huayue and others forcefully enhancing it through the sword array, so their Qi was similarly greatly depleted.

However, this time they weren’t using Star Falling in Eight Desolates, and Han Yan was immersed in the inheritance of Aolai Divine Beast’s memory, so they only realized it now.

After consuming the elixir and circulating the cultivation technique several times, Han Yan and others’ Qi started to gradually recover. Based on past experience, the depleted Qi usually takes a day to fully recover, and using elixirs or energy movement initially works well, but later it’s just a waste of time, so they didn’t continue cultivating.

”By the way, I forgot to ask who exactly hurt Ye Yanran.” Jiang Yuzhe said.

”Isn’t it obvious? Haven’t you heard her say it was a mysterious expert, which means we don’t know who they are.” Zirong worriedly remarked on Jiang Yuzhe’s intelligence.

”Uh...” Jiang Yuzhe scratched his head, feeling a bit embarrassed. He was used to Zirong’s jabs, so he wasn’t too upset.

”Do you think it could be people from the temple?” Jiang Yuzhe speculated.

”The temple!” Yan Yuchu’s expression froze, his brows furrowing.

The first time he met Han Yan, they encountered an assassination from the temple. Thanks to Han Yan’s aid, he barely escaped, which provided the opportunity for them to reconcile and form an alliance.
