Ms. Diviner: The Prodigal Daughter's Return

Chapter 1407: Chapter 1407: I Won’t Let You Die

”All of you stop arguing. In truth, I had long been prepared for death. I persisted till today only because of some unfinished wishes. Han Yan, promise me, help me save my mother in the future.” Ye Yanran, with a relieved smile on her face, said to Han Yan.

”I promise you, I will definitely help you save your mother in the future. However, you still can’t die. Don’t forget, you saved me twice. I never like to owe others, and this time is no exception.” Han Yan said while making hand gestures.

Huayue and the others were initially stunned, then they reacted, and all smacked their foreheads.

They actually forgot the Five Great Magical Instruments. With the sword array taught by Feng Qingyu, Han Yan’s strength could entirely reach the Sword Saint Realm, fulfilling the requirement set by Ye Yanran’s great-grandmother.

The group immediately began to make hand gestures; through repeated coordination, their teamwork became increasingly seamless.

Soon, mysterious rays of light emerged faintly from them, and Han Yan’s aura was constantly rising.

Middle Stage Great Sword Master, Late Stage Great Sword Master, Great Sword Master Peak. Finally, her cultivation surpassed the Great Sword Master Peak. Though she hadn’t undergone a rebirth, her power was indistinguishable from an entry-level Sword Saint. Considering the sword power of Star Falling in Eight Desolates, her combat power was even slightly superior to some entry-level Sword Saints.

Ye Yanran was shocked as she watched this scene. Originally wanting to continue stopping Han Yan, she couldn’t utter a word.

Sword Saint, she could actually elevate her power to the Sword Saint level; she wasn’t comforting herself, she really could save her.

Han Yan flicked her finger lightly, and that drop of blood fell onto the Heavenly Destiny Star Plate, rapidly seeping in.

Even though she had forcefully raised her power to the Sword Saint Realm, Han Yan did not dare to be careless, following up with her Divine Sense probing inside.

The drop of blood seeped into the Heavenly Destiny Star Plate, being drawn by that marvelous power, it surged toward the core, while the drop of Ye Yanran’s blood remained suspended here.

Under the guidance of that power, the two drops of blood gradually approached and surprisingly fused together. At the moment of fusion, streaks of golden light burst forth.

The entire Heavenly Destiny Star Plate also radiated dazzling golden light, even Han Yan and Ye Yanran simultaneously erupted with golden radiance.

Han Yan only felt a buzz in her mind, as if she had returned to that distant space-time, or as if a long-sealed memory was opening deep within her mind.

...

The cold wind howled past, bringing endless desolation, and snowflakes fell, turning the whole world cold, as if deeply mourning the fall of the god-like woman before her.

Han Yan again saw the scene where the mysterious woman was betrayed, her body perhaps already cold, and her blood stained the earth, shockingly revealing a faint golden glow.

Numerous figures, tall, strong, or nimble, knelt around her. Although their faces couldn’t be seen clearly, Han Yan could feel the boundless pain in their hearts.

Yet this time, Han Yan didn’t see the figure of the Xingtian girl, only a young girl knelt in front of her. Her long hair was as white as snow, her whole body exuded an icy cold aura, but her face was exceedingly clear and beautiful, with tears filling her pretty face, full of sorrow.

”Ah...” The girl suddenly cried out to the sky.

An oddly shaped dagger, like a Long Ya, full of unusual beauty, appeared in her hand, and her gaze turned resolute and unwavering.

The dagger pierced into her chest, and blood gushed out. No one stopped her, although the faces around her were unclear, Han Yan could feel that their hearts were as unwavering as the girl’s.

The girl’s blood continually flowed out, turning the earth red, her body slowly fell to the ground, as if the last drop of blood in her body was gone.

The crimson blood merged miraculously with the mysterious woman’s blood, the faint golden glow becoming extremely intense, too bright to keep one’s eyes open.

Between heaven and earth, suddenly there surged a wondrous rhythm, the girl’s figure slowly fading, turning into nothingness, disappearing forever. Meanwhile, on the earth, in that golden blood, a certain power seemed to be continuously condensing.

At some unknown time, the cold wind abruptly stopped, the dark clouds dispersed, and warm sunlight spread across the earth, full of life.

Han Yan suddenly had a feeling, that mysterious and powerful woman had not died, she still lived, though in some form, eternally existing in the world, perhaps after countless reincarnations, she would return to that vast and desolate earth.

A flash of lightning streaked across the earth, and Han Yan abruptly awoke, her Divine Sense returning to reality.

The golden glow on her body had softened considerably, no longer as dazzling as before, and the Heavenly Destiny Star Plate along with Ye Yanran’s body also emitted the same gentle golden light, as if forming a trinity.

To Han Yan’s amazement, the Heavenly Destiny Star Plate had acknowledged her as its master as expected, but it acknowledged Ye Yanran as well.

What was going on? As far as Han Yan knew, a Divine Artifact could only recognize one master, unless that master died, it could never acknowledge another. Yet, the Heavenly Destiny Star Plate recognized both her and Ye Yanran!

Could it be because their drops of blood had bonded as one? Han Yan probed with Divine Sense again. In the Heavenly Destiny Star Plate, the golden droplet formed by their fusion had vanished, seemingly fully integrated into the Star Plate, leaving her uncertain of her assumption for the moment.

But that was unimportant; the key was, Ye Yanran’s vitality was no longer fading, but was circulating back into her body, including her own powerful and mysterious force.

Because that power was too immense, Ye Yanran was unable to adapt for the moment, falling into a slumber, accurately, into a state of emptiness.

Seeing Han Yan safe and sound, Huayue and the others breathed sighs of relief. Although they had collectively forced Han Yan’s cultivation to reach the Sword Saint Realm, it wasn’t genuinely Sword Saint, and there were some risks. It was only now that they could rest easy.

However, seeing Ye Yanran fall into a coma, they couldn’t help but worry.

”What’s wrong with her, will she be alright?” Tang Bufan asked uneasily.

”She’s fine, the Heavenly Destiny Star Plate has recognized her as its master, the vitality previously sapped by backlash is returning to her body, and the power within the Star Plate is being absorbed and refined by her too. Now her Divine Sense is entering a state of emptiness, once she awakens, she will surely have a delightful surprise.” Han Yan explained while placing the Heavenly Destiny Star Plate into Ye Yanran’s embrace.
