Ms. Diviner: The Prodigal Daughter's Return

Chapter 1131: Chapter 1131: Stunned Roomful of People

”Not exactly, the Heaven and Earth Rules on the Holy Court Continent are different from where we come from. Even the most powerful Chaos Skyfire can’t exhibit its full potential here,” Ling Baobao shook his head and said.

”Hmph, after all that talk, Chaos Heavenly Fire is just formidable in your plane. It’s not much use to me,” Mu Hanyan said, showing little interest.

”Don’t be so hasty. I only said it can’t fully exert its powers now, but I never said it’s entirely useless, nor did I say it will be useless in the future.

On our plane, Heaven and Earth Spirit Fire and Demon Spirit Fire also have different ranks. The higher the rank, the more useful it is. However, the more difficult it is to tame it. The Chaos Skyfire in my hand is a newly formed Heavenly Fire Spark, equivalent to the infancy stage of an Exotic Beast, easy for anyone to capture.

Also, since it’s an infancy Heavenly Fire Spark without its own Spiritual Sense yet, it can naturally comprehend any Heaven and Earth Law. That means once you capture it, it can blend into the Heaven and Earth Rules of the Holy Court Continent, and then its usefulness would not be inferior to the Heaven and Earth Spirit Fire of our plane; ordinary Demon Spirit Fires can’t even compare,” explained Ling Baobao.

”That’s so amazing! Where did you get this Chaos Skyfire from?” Mu Hanyan asked Ling Baobao in amazement.

In the Holy Court Continent, Exotic Beasts in infancy are the rarest, much harder to capture than adult Exotic Beasts. Presumably, this Chaos Skyfire is the same, which is why she asked.

”I secretly borrowed it from my mother,” Ling Baobao answered.

”Stealing is stealing, why say it’s borrowing?” Mu Hanyan said irritably. No wonder his mom threw him out; he even stole from his own family.

”Taking my mother’s things, can that really be considered stealing? I just forgot to tell her,” Ling Baobao said righteously.

”Alright, alright, you say it’s borrowing, so it’s borrowing. Now, tell me, how do I capture this Chaos Skyfire, and also, I’ll be casting the Blood Gall Sword tomorrow afternoon, how should I use this Chaos Skyfire then?” Mu Hanyan wasn’t in the mood to argue with him. After all, it was a matter between him and his mother, and she was an outsider who couldn’t pass judgment.

”This Chaos Skyfire is still in infancy, one hand gesture can tame it. As for what help it can offer, you’ll know when you try,” said Ling Baobao, teaching Mu Hanyan a hand gesture.

”Does this hand gesture not get restricted by the Heaven and Earth Rules of the Holy Court Continent?” Mu Hanyan asked while practicing the hand gesture.

”I’ve tried many times; some hand gestures do get restricted, some not so much, and some can be slightly modified for use, like those Alchemy Hand Formulas you helped me modify in Xiaocang City, which were actually evolved from the Artifact Refining Hand Jue passed down from my mother. With slight alteration, they can be used,” explained Ling Baobao.

Mu Hanyan suddenly understood and focused on practicing the hand gesture. The hand gesture was extremely simple, and in less than seven and a half minutes, she fully comprehended it.

As the hand gesture was executed, a faint halo emitted from the Chaos Skyfire, linking it with Mu Hanyan.

In an instant, the Chaos Skyfire disappeared, and Mu Hanyan clearly felt a subtle connection in her Divine Sense, and deep in her Heart Meridian, a pure white flame flower joyfully danced.

Ling Baobao was right; his hand gestures weren’t all unusable on the Holy Court Continent. Some could be used directly; perhaps some elements of his plane’s Heaven and Earth Law intersected with those of the Holy Court Continent.

”Ignite the fire, open the furnace,” Mu Hanyan said confidently.

Soon, the furnace fire was blazing once again, gathering a deep blue flame.

Mu Hanyan swung her sword casting hammer and once again employed the Twelve Techniques of Shaping and Forging, as a crooked snake-shaped sword slowly took form under her hand.

”Seems like it doesn’t help much?” Mu Hanyan wondered, her Divine Sense probing the Chaos Skyfire within her Heart Meridian.

”Brother Han Yan, Heaven and Earth Spirit Fire isn’t used like that. If you don’t bring it out, how can it be of any use? Even if it’s a Sword Pet, you should at least summon it a little, right?” Ling Baobao said, looking exasperated, with exaggerated expression.

Mu Hanyan finally realized because her Little Auspicious Beast was too lazy, with no consciousness of being a Sword Pet at all, popping out only when it wanted to, and burrowing in to sleep when it didn’t feel like it. So she wasn’t accustomed to calling on it for help, and let it be.

This Chaos Skyfire was in its infancy, without any Spiritual Sense yet, so it couldn’t proactively help. It just nestled in the depth of the Heart Meridian and slept; how could it be of any use?

With a thought from Mu Hanyan, the Chaos Skyfire appeared in the palm holding the hammer, leaving only a trace of exotic white light, barely noticeable to others.

While pondering the proper form of the Blood Gall Sword, Mu Hanyan executed the Sword Casting Technique and continued wielding the sword casting hammer.

Suddenly, Mu Hanyan felt a slight lightness in the hand gripping the sword casting hammer, as if an invisible hand was helping her hold the handle.

The technique was the same as before, still the Twelve Forms of Casting and Forging taught by Nie Fangsheng, but the timing of hammer strikes, speed, force, and angle had all subtly changed.

If before her technique was merely outwardly impressive without grasping its essence, now, these twelve techniques were both in form and spirit, applied with remarkable skill, ingenious beyond compare.

Even the crisp sound of hammering had become beautiful and melodious, like raindrops falling on banana leaves, or pearls dropping onto a jade plate, composing a moving symphony.

And on the sword casting furnace, the crooked snake-shaped sword began to take on the proper form of a Blood Gall Sword, simple yet sharp, brimming with a murderous aura.

Nearby, Huayue Zirong, Jiang Yuzhe, Tan Yu, and others watched slack-jawed.

...

”Bang!” Shocked, Nie Fangsheng stood up, and the grand master’s chair shattered into a heap of broken wood under the force as he rose.

Mu Hanyan returned to her senses, looking calmly and smilingly at Nie Fangsheng.

”Lord Nie, may I trouble you to appraise my Blood Gall Sword? Did I correctly remember the Shape Casting and Bone Forging arts?” Mu Hanyan said with a touch of sarcasm to Nie Fangsheng.

Since the other party ignored his status and didn’t care about face to make things difficult for her, she didn’t bother giving him any face either.

”Not bad, you indeed have some aptitude, this Blood Gall Sword is quite well-cast,” Nie Fangsheng really didn’t want Mu Hanyan to pass, but the fact lay before him. The Blood Gall Sword was cast so perfectly, even with his own hand, it would be no better.

In front of everyone, he couldn’t very well tell a blatant lie.
