Quick Transmigration: The Cannon Fodder's Comeback in the Era Tales

Chapter 272: Chapter 272: The Childless Cannon Fodder Woman 41

When Uncle Lin’s two daughters-in-law were evicted from their own home, they moved all their belongings out and borrowed an unused empty house in the village to live in. Afterwards, the two went to the village committee and applied to the village leader for two adjoining house plots, one for each family.

Taking advantage of the leisure time during the spring, the two women used part of the money they had withdrawn from their father-in-law’s savings account to each build a three-room brick and tile house.

The house certificates were registered under their own names.

Then, with their still young children, they waited in Lin Family Village for their husbands to return home, occasionally watching the drama of Treasure Bead and Lin Baotian.

Treasure Bead and Lin Baotian felt jealous and angry when they saw that the brick and tile house that had been snatched by Lin Baoshui not long ago had been replaced with two new wide and bright brick and tile houses with large stone-built courtyards.

Taking advantage of the absence of their men at home, they instigated an old bachelor to join them in causing trouble.

”Big sister-in-law, second sister-in-law, we are also Dad’s own children, and we have a share in the family house too. You can’t just live there, we want to live in it too.”

The two sisters-in-law naturally refused.

They didn’t even intend to acknowledge their father-in-law, let alone recognize his illegitimate children born from an old affair outside.

The two daughters-in-law picked up brooms from the courtyard, raised them, and struck Lin Baotian and Treasure Bead, cursing as they did, ”You little whore, where do you get the nerve to call me sister-in-law, you... I don’t have a shameless sister-in-law who climbs into men’s beds.”

”Do you still want to seize the house? Dream on, don’t even know what type you are, two illegitimate children dare to come here and chirp, bullying us because our men aren’t home.”

”Warn you, though we don’t have men backing us, we have our family backing us. If you don’t want to be beaten to death, get out quickly. If you dare to come again to target our house, I’ll call the police.”

Having suffered from police reports before, the village women now knew to use the phrase ”call the police” as a weapon.

But it truly frightened Lin Baotian and Treasure Bead.

The brother and sister were not completely illiterate; they knew they had no ground just to seize the house. However, such large, new brick and tile houses were unprecedented in the village, and the siblings were truly envious.

The old bachelor’s house had only two broken thatched rooms and was drafty; the old bachelor was unclean, and the room always emitted a mixed stench—moldy smell and foot odor.

The siblings really didn’t want to continue living at the old bachelor’s place.

But Treasure Bead and the old bachelor had registered marriage certificates, and if they didn’t live at the old bachelor’s house, they had nowhere else to go. At the moment, they just wanted to move into the new brick and tile house shamelessly.

Lin Baotian and Treasure Bead weren’t just taking hits without fighting back. During the skirmish, the siblings managed to grab tools, fought back vigorously, and ended up in a brawl with the two sisters-in-law.

The few children standing under the eaves were scared to tears.

The village leader got the news and arrived quickly.

With a stern face, the village leader waited for the group, ”What’s the matter now? Can’t you just behave yourselves for a day?”

”Village leader, it’s not our fault. These two shameless illegitimate kids came to seize my two sisters-in-law’s houses. They deliberately came to bully my two women because they saw our men weren’t home.”

”The plots for these two houses were applied for by us, and the money for building them came from us too. They’re registered under our names, there’s no share for Lin family, let alone giving them a room, don’t even think about it.”
