Tycoon: I Have an Unlimited Modifier

With Zong Rui acting as the go-between, Qi Sheng and Qu Man’s first meeting wasn’t too awkward.

”Honey, why don’t you poach Manman and give her a general manager position?”

”It’s better to keep it in the family, right? You have to promote someone, anyway.”

Zong Rui’s mind wasn’t on the food at all; she was secretly trying to set Qi Sheng up with Qu Man.

”Ruirui, a hotel’s general manager isn’t a position you can just hand out to anyone.”

Qu Man shot Zong Rui a look, then quickly turned to Qi Sheng apologetically.

”Don’t listen to Ruirui’s nonsense. I’m very happy working at the Regent Hotel and have no plans to leave anytime soon.”

”What Ruirui said isn’t entirely without merit, though.”

Qi Sheng smiled and shook his head. ”Sister Man, making you a general manager right away would be unjustifiable. However, the position of Executive Assistant Manager would be a perfect fit for you.”

”Executive Assistant Manager?”

Qu Man was taken aback, her expression turning hesitant.

”Manman, I remember you telling me before that it would take you at least another ten years to climb from Guest Services Manager to General Manager.”

”If you take this Executive Assistant Manager role first, you could achieve your dream in just three to five years!”

Zong Rui rolled her eyes at Qi Sheng. She clearly knew her man had taken an interest in Qu Man, too.

Otherwise, he would never so easily offer a key position like Executive Assistant Manager to someone from another hotel.

There were countless employees within Banyan Tree eyeing that very position.

Qu Man was genuinely tempted.

If she continued to grind it out at the Regent Hotel, she could eventually get promoted to Executive Assistant Manager.

The problem was, she would have to grind for at least another three to five years.

But Qi Sheng was offering her the Executive Assistant Manager position now, which would save her three years of hard work.

If it weren’t for the fact that Qi Sheng was Zong Rui’s boyfriend, and that working for him would inevitably mean they would get closer, Qu Man wouldn’t have hesitated at all. She would have just jumped ship.

”Sister Man, you’re not actually worried about me, are you?”

Seeing Qu Man’s tempted yet hesitant expression, Zong Rui couldn’t help but laugh.

”Don’t you worry. Even if you two really got together, I wouldn’t be jealous. I’d love nothing more than for us to share a blanket as sisters.”

”Ruirui!”

Zong Rui’s words made Qu Man’s face flush red, and she didn’t dare to look up at Qi Sheng.

”Ahem. Sister Man, friendship is friendship, but according to the group’s current salary structure...”

”...the most I can offer you is an S3 grade compensation package. It definitely won’t be less than what you’re making at the Regent.”

Qi Sheng said with a straight face, his priority being to reel Qu Man in first.

”Can I ask about the compensation for this S3 grade?”

Qu Man was a little curious. It didn’t sound particularly high.

”Of course.”

Qi Sheng nodded with a smile and explained, ”S3 is a standard manager grade. It’s typically for the assistant managers of Shengxuan Group’s various restaurants, or the Executive Assistant Managers at Banyan Tree Hotels and Resorts.”

”The base monthly salary is 30,000, and with performance bonuses and a year-end bonus, the total annual income is no less than 500,000.”

”Five hundred thousand?”

Qu Man was stunned by the number.

The general managers of many five-star hotels in the country only made that much.

And the position Qi Sheng was offering her was only an Executive Assistant Manager.

It was equivalent to a deputy general manager at other hotels.

”Then... is the annual salary for your group’s hotel general managers even higher?”

Qu Man asked subconsciously.

When she realized what she’d said, Qu Man lowered her head in embarrassment.

’That was a pretty dumb question.’

”The next grade up is for the general managers of our group’s Yue Garden Hotels, or the managers of Zhuangyu Catering’s various restaurants.”

”The monthly base salary is 50,000, and with performance bonuses and a year-end bonus, the total pre-tax income exceeds 1 million.”

Qi Sheng explained patiently with a smile. ’What can I say, Qu Man is gorgeous.’

If it were someone less attractive, Qi Sheng couldn’t have been bothered.

All of the above compensation packages were gradually implemented only after Qi Sheng took over the Banyan Tree Group.

As for the results... was there even a need to ask?

The group’s HR department alone received thousands of resumes every day.

The management at Banyan Tree Group, in particular, were ready to worship him.

Take Li Ai, for example. As the CEO of the Banyan Tree Hotel, she was also given the honorary title of Vice President.

Her base monthly salary reached 150,000, plus performance and year-end bonuses.

Her total annual income was no less than 3 million.

Across the entire hotel industry, the compensation offered by Banyan Tree Group was top-tier!

Qi Sheng dared to offer such packages because he had the System backing him up.

If he could just get another ”+100% Sleep Quality” buff...

...the Banyan Tree Series hotels would be absolutely swimming in cash!

’A mere 3 million is peanuts.’

Qi Sheng then explained to Qu Man his plans for the Banyan Tree Group’s future brands.

From the entry-level Yue Garden to the mid-to-high-end Yuelian.

Then to the ultra-high-end Yuechun, and finally, the luxury-tier Banyan Tree.

If Qu Man agreed to make the switch, a vast path for promotion awaited her.

Comparing the CEO of a Yue Garden Hotel to the CEO of a Banyan Tree Hotel...

...the difference wasn’t just in status.

The gap in annual income was astronomical.

One was only 1 million, while the other was as high as 3 million.

”Thank you for the invitation. I’m willing to join the Banyan Tree Group.”

Qu Man took a deep breath and decisively accepted Qi Sheng’s offer.

’As for the whole man-woman thing, I’ll just let nature take its course.’

She would be hard-pressed to find this kind of promotion opportunity at the Regent Hotel.

”Sister Man, congratulations on making the absolute right decision!”

”Once you’ve completed the resignation process over there, come report to the Banyan Tree. I’ll have President Li personally show you the ropes.”

Qi Sheng smiled and extended his hand to Qu Man, secretly sighing in relief.

’Now that the beautiful Miss Qu is on my turf, there’s no way I’m letting her escape.’
