Tycoon: I Have an Unlimited Modifier

The Sanya International Duty-Free City was massive.

It was divided into two phases, connected by a sky bridge.

Phase One was for shopping sprees, mostly filled with major luxury brands.

Phase Two housed boutique shops and food and beverage services.

However, to shop at the duty-free city, you had to have your ID and a ticket for a flight departing the island.

Otherwise, you’d face the awkward situation of picking out a pile of things only to be unable to check out.

Qi Sheng and the others were headed for Phase One of the duty-free city.

The first thing they saw upon entering was a vast, open space.

They found a floor directory and saw that Phase One was also split into Blocks A and B.

The first floor of Block A was dominated by major makeup and skincare brands like La Mer and SK-II.

The first floor of Block B featured jewelry and watch brands like IWC, Piaget, Bvlgari, Prada, Gucci, and Omega.

For the girls, this was a rare opportunity to stock up, and they definitely weren’t going to miss it.

The major skincare brands on the first floor of Block A had all shed their lofty airs and were running sales promotions.

Most of them were offering deals like 15% off for three items or 20% off for five items.

Of course, these discounts only applied to items from the same brand.

The shoppers here were almost all girls.

Qi Sheng waited outside, bored, and played on his phone.

The three girls were huddled together, whispering and chattering excitedly.

Du Xinxin exclaimed in amazement, ”Oh my god, the Armani foundation that’s originally 580 yuan is only 345 here! And the 500ml Kiehl’s toner, which is usually over 500, is just 350 here.”

Tao Siyao was just as excited. ”I know, right? The Estée Lauder foundation I bought for 410 last time is only 222 here! And the Shu Uemura eyebrow pencil that costs 200 is just 120. It’s insane!”

Pan Yinuo smiled. ”There are exactly three of us, so we can get a discount on anything we buy together. We should stock up. How much are you guys planning to spend?”

”I haven’t spent much of my allowance this month. If I set aside 1,000 for the cafeteria and daily expenses, I can spend 2,000.”

Du Xinxin looked at all the luxury brands she normally couldn’t bring herself to buy, now tempting her with what felt like clearance sale prices. Naturally, she wanted to stock up.

”Same here, I can only spend 2,000. What about you, Yaoyao?”

Pan Yinuo looked at Tao Siyao curiously.

’Knowing our rich, beautiful bestie,’ she thought, ’she’ll probably spend at least thirty or forty thousand.’

”I’ll just spend the same as you guys.”

Tao Siyao said this through gritted teeth, using all her willpower as she gazed at one coveted item after another.

”What?”

Du Xinxin asked in surprise, ”Yaoyao, did your family go bankrupt?”

”Get outta here! My dad’s business is doing great. Don’t jinx it.”

Tao Siyao shot Du Xinxin a glare. ”I was just thinking, since Qi Sheng bought our plane tickets and arranged for our food and lodging, I should buy him a gift in return.”

”Oh, right! I totally forgot about that.”

Pan Yinuo was suddenly reminded that she was also getting a free ride, and said through clenched teeth, ”In that case, I’ll just spend 500. I’ll save 500 for food and use the other 2,000 to buy Qi Sheng a gift.”

She didn’t think Qi Sheng was in need of a small gift from her, but she’d feel bad if she didn’t get him anything.

Of course, both she and Tao Siyao knew perfectly well...

’The gift Qi Sheng probably wants most is our bodies.’

’But that’s something we would never, ever dare to give him.’

’Otherwise, how could we ever face our good friend, Du Xinxin?’

You don’t steal your best friend’s boyfriend. That was a cardinal rule of being a best friend.

Unless you were a ”plastic” friend, of course. Then it wouldn’t matter.

”Alright then, let’s all just buy a little less. We can always come back next year and buy more,” Du Xinxin said.

Du Xinxin had never considered asking Qi Sheng to buy her these high-end cosmetics.

’Wouldn’t that make me look like one of those materialistic girls?’

If Qi Sheng offered to buy them for her, that would be a sweet gesture from her boyfriend.

But for her to ask for them herself would be going a bit too far.

There are many good girls out there, but most guys just never seem to meet them.

Only scumbags would take advantage of a girl’s mindset like that, swindling them out of both their money and their bodies.

With Qi Sheng’s wealth, swindling them out of money was impossible. At most, he’d just be after their bodies.

...

”Hm?”

Qi Sheng watched the three girls walk out of the Estée Lauder store with low spirits and felt a little puzzled.

’They were so cheerful when they went in. Could they have been treated poorly inside?’

At that thought, Qi Sheng lost the mood to play on his phone.

Qi Sheng pulled Du Xinxin into his arms and asked caringly, ”Who made our little cutie angry? I’ll go give them a piece of my mind.”

”Oh, stop. Our budgets just aren’t big enough, so we’re just getting a few things to scratch the itch.”

Du Xinxin was also planning to do the same as Pan Yinuo: use 2,000 yuan of her living expenses to pick out a belt for Qi Sheng.

For a girl, giving a guy a belt symbolizes the desire to bind him to her side forever, so he’ll never leave.

”It’s one thing if you two are buying less, but Miss Tao isn’t buying much either?”

Qi Sheng had just overheard many girls discussing how much cheaper the luxury skincare was here compared to the mainland, so he couldn’t help but look at Tao Siyao curiously.

”None of your business. We’re going to check out Block B.”

Tao Siyao huffed and shot Qi Sheng a glare.

’It’s all this guy’s fault,’ she thought. ’Now I can’t buy all that skincare I wanted.’

Qi Sheng was baffled. ’Did I say something wrong?’

When they arrived at Block B, they saw one legendary luxury brand after another.

The line outside the Gucci store, in particular, was incredibly long.

’Our countrymen sure have money,’ Qi Sheng thought. ’The discount isn’t even that big, only about 10% off.’

Yet a crowd of eager-looking girls was lined up at the entrance.

Qi Sheng had looked at the floor directory earlier; there weren’t many top-tier luxury brands in the duty-free city.

Gucci was one of the most prestigious ones.

When it was their turn in line, the sales associate’s attitude was fairly normal.

It was understandable. A duty-free shop like this was much busier than Tan Hua’s store, and the staff had no time to rest.

Customers were lining up endlessly outside, and the sales commission was pitifully low.

Naturally, they didn’t have much enthusiasm to offer the customers.

To put it bluntly, they weren’t short on customers at all. There were always people willing to buy.

Aside from Tao Siyao, who was calm and composed, Du Xinxin was tightly clutching her boyfriend’s hand, afraid of showing her nervousness and embarrassing Qi Sheng.

”Don’t be nervous. Just treat this place like the Uniqlo you guys usually shop at. I’ll bring you here to spend money more often, and you’ll get used to it.”

Qi Sheng comforted the young woman with a smile.

The sales associate who was about to help them rolled her eyes internally but didn’t dare let it show.

After all, Qi Sheng had a Rolex ”Black Rubber” Daytona on his wrist.

He was dressed head-to-toe in an LV summer outfit, and he was tall and handsome.

He might have been bragging, but he definitely had some substance to back it up.

”Oh, stop.”

Du Xinxin thought of the times she and Pan Yinuo had shopped at Uniqlo.

Looking at the elegantly decorated, luxurious Gucci store, it felt completely out of place no matter how she looked at it.

”Get a few sets of your fall collection for them. Also, pick out several of your classic handbags and let all three of them try them on.”

Qi Sheng instructed the saleswoman, his arm around Du Xinxin, his tone casual yet full of confidence.

Admittedly, their fall collection was probably from one or two seasons ago.

The new arrivals were definitely prioritized for the mainland stores.

This was done, naturally, to avoid offending the high-value clientele on the mainland.

Those wealthy people didn’t want to see others wearing the same current-season styles that they had, but for less money.

But what was that saying? Classics never go out of style.

”Of course. Please wait in the lounge area, sir. We’ll assist the young ladies right away.”

The saleswoman called a few colleagues over, and they surrounded Du Xinxin and the other two, beginning to serve them with enthusiasm.

It had to be said, Qi Sheng shopping with three absolute stunners was enough to make both gods and men angry.

Many nattily dressed middle-aged men looked at the ”canaries” by their sides.

Then they looked at the three girls and instantly felt like they had to throw out their own goods in comparison.
