S-Rank Harem: I Became My Character with Extra Control Skill

After searching for signs of vital energy or magic, the dragon woman calmly opened her eyes.

She stated with absolute certainty that there was no one in a close range around them, declaring the arrival zone a completely safe place for the army.

”But there are demons hiding very close to us,” Alicia intervened immediately, completely contradicting the water dragon’s expert magical evaluation.

The serious wolf assistant twitched her long ears attentively and wrinkled her nose a bit, catching a highly unpleasant and dirty scent floating in the freezing air.

”They are quite far from our current position, but they smell like there are many gathered in one single place. They must have an established surveillance base around here.”

”Ho,” Ivis said, letting out a deep, hoarse sound from the bottom of her throat. ”You can smell those bugs from here?” Ivis asked with slight, undeniable surprise in her voice.

The imposing dragon looked at the wolf girl with a renewed and evident respect for her primitive animal instincts.

”Since I always rely solely on my perception of ambient mana to hunt, my natural sense of smell is somewhat neglected when it comes to detecting physical presences at that distance.”

Ivis admitted without shame, acknowledging the tactical advantage of the beastmen’s sharp senses in that aspect of silent tracking.

”Should we approach quietly and kill them all before they see us?” Beatrice asked with coldness shining in her eyes.

”No, stop. We do not know if they have some quick way or strange magical artifacts to communicate with more demons in the capital if we attack them. Causing unnecessary problems here could be very counterproductive.”

”But Ryan,” Karol intervened, bringing her large, scaly wyvern closer to him with an expression of clear worry on her face.

”If we keep flying like this in such a large group, the enemies will see us from afar sooner or later. There is nowhere to hide up here.”

”It is true, that would be a huge problem for us,” Irina commented from the high back of her own winged mount, completely agreeing with the mage.

The elven princess looked back, observing the massive army of hundreds of elves and beasts following them closely, waiting for the order to advance.

”Do not worry about that little detail,” Ryan said with a slight smile on his face, showing that he already had a plan in mind to solve that notable obstacle.

He slowly turned toward the dragon woman floating near them with her wings spread.

”You can hide all of us, can’t you, Ivis?”

Suddenly, upon hearing Ryan’s brilliant suggestion, Ivis smiled with great malice.

The imposing dragon woman bared her sharp fangs in an expression full of pride and superiority.

Just a few minutes prior, she had felt offended by Ryan’s words regarding her elemental weaknesses.

But now, having the perfect opportunity to demonstrate the scale of her magical power to everyone, it seemed she had completely forgotten about it.

Her ancient race’s vanity quickly overcame any small annoyance or fleeting insult from a simple human.

”Yes, you are right,” Ivis replied with a tone laden with arrogance and immense confidence. ”I planned to do that from the beginning anyway. I just need to hide all of you.”

Without wasting another second, Ivis extended both arms out to her sides and released a massive amount of pure mana into the freezing environment.

The energy flowed from her body and, in the blink of an eye, she deployed a massive magical water bubble high in the sky.

The water did not freeze despite the region’s extreme climate, but instead expanded at incredible speed.

The immense translucent water dome covered the entire wide margin of the sky where she was and protected all the soldiers flying behind her.

It was a perfect camouflage that distorted the light and made them practically invisible from the distant snowy ground.

The beastmen warriors and the elves were the first to react with astonishment, murmuring among themselves about that power completely covering them.

They reached out their hands as they flew, touching the edges of the magical barrier.

It felt like an extremely soft and elastic bubble, but it radiated an unbreakable protection against the harsh, biting wind.

”Good, that will be more than enough so that no one notices our presence,” Ivis stated, lowering her arms and resuming her relaxed flight posture.

”Fly completely normally and without fear of being seen, I will take care of the rest of the camouflage.”

Upon seeing the effectiveness of the dragon woman’s magic and the safety it provided his troops, Ryan smiled slightly.

The group’s leader felt a massive strategic weight lift off his shoulders for the moment. And raising his gloved right hand in the air, he gave the silent signal for the entire army to advance.

Ivis immediately went to the head of the group, leading the way with her majestic water wings beating the wind.

And the three girls mounted on their respective wyverns also kept flying right at the front, very close to the dragon.

Karol, Mirian, and Irina chatted animatedly among themselves, and gradually struck up a conversation with Ivis to kill the boredom of the long aerial journey.

Ryan stayed a little further back in the formation, keeping a safe distance to observe his entire army and guard the flanks.

From back there, due to the constant noise of the wind crashing against the magical dome, he could not clearly hear what things the women in the vanguard were talking about.

But he immediately assumed that, due to their highly curious and sometimes rather reckless personalities, they would be inquiring much more about the secrets of Ivis’s magic.

”Your Majesty.”

”Ryan.”

Two female voices said at the same time, interrupting his thoughts.

Alicia and Beatrice moved slightly ahead in the aerial formation, each positioning herself floating right beside him.

The loyal wolf assistant took her position on his right, maintaining an attentive and protective gaze, while the lethal black-haired spy took the left side with a completely cold expression.

Ryan looked at them both for a brief moment, they looked like a pair of personal escorts as his two most sensible women, and nodded his head.

”Yes, let us continue with the march,” Ryan ordered with a calm voice, keeping his gaze fixed on the dark horizon ahead of them.

The immense armed group advanced at full speed, crossing the clouds high in the sky, perfectly hidden under Ivis’s gigantic manipulation power.

After a long while of uninterrupted flight over the cold and dangerous mountains of enemy territory, they maintained the exact same tactical formation.

And suddenly, the small magical communication relic Ryan wore on his ear began to emit a faint, warm glow.

Karol spoke directly to Ryan through the artifact’s connection.

The blue-haired mage informed him from the vanguard that they were already very close to the blind meeting point agreed upon on the map.

That was the secret place, far from patrol routes, where Queen Ophelia would be waiting for them with her own forces to begin the joint invasion.

Alicia, who knew the geography perfectly thanks to her exhaustive study of the villa’s scrolls and as a former prisoner of Kowarre’s lands, confirmed the information.

She approached Ryan and explained that this unusual geographical zone was officially named Bowstring Bay.

It was a desert-like and very peculiar place, heavily guarded on one of its edges by a gigantic rock cliff that formed a perfect arc.

The main characteristic of Bowstring Bay was that it possessed a lethal, deep sea of quicksand of a pure white color that tricked travelers into believing it was firm snow.

That treacherous sea of deadly sand was crossed only by a straight, narrow, and very dangerous line of solid rock that served as the only natural and safe bridge for miles.

As the large camouflaged army slowly descended from the air, the strange arc shape of the cliff could be clearly seen contrasting with the white sand.

And by sharpening one’s gaze toward the thin line of stone, a group of several figures could be seen waiting patiently in that spot.

They were heavily armed demons standing on the hard stones, clearly standing out against the massive white backdrop of the sand desert.

When the three massive wyverns landed heavily on the solid rock, followed by Ryan, his main group, and the hundreds of soldiers from the villa, the tension in the air became palpable.

There stood Ophelia’s imposing figure, looking as majestic, dangerous, and confident as always, closely escorted by several of her most loyal soldiers from Morrisen.

The alliance between humans, demi-humans, elves, and demons finally met in a single spot for the war.

But besides the demon queen and her personal guards, there was another demon woman present in the welcoming committee.

A demon woman that Ryan could recognize immediately upon making eye contact with her, clearly remembering an unusual and problematic encounter from the past.

And as Ryan and his group walked down the narrow line of stone toward the allied leaders, that same demon woman widened her eyes.

She looked at him with massive and indisputable surprise painted on her face, raised her right arm, and pointed her finger directly at the leader of the alliance in front of everyone present.

”Ah! It is the perverted demon king!” she screamed at the top of her lungs, completely breaking the seriousness of the awaited meeting.
