Urban All-Round Master

”How are you? How are you? Are you okay? Are you okay?”

Beiming Yu held Qing Fu tightly, tears falling from her eyes. Her heart felt like it was being torn apart, the agony unbearable. A bloody hole had appeared in Qing Fu’s chest, with blood continuously flowing out, unable to be stopped. Watching his life force rapidly decline, Beiming Yu’s mind thundered with chaos. She didn’t know what to do, nor did she know if Qing Fu could survive.

Watching someone who grew up with her, always by her side, lay in her arms. There was even the possibility that the next moment, he would leave her forever.

”No! No! You can’t die, I can’t be without you. Qing Fu, promise me you’ll survive, okay? You can’t die!!!” Helpless, sorrowful, heartbroken, angry... a flood of heartbreaking emotions surged into Beiming Yu’s mind. Making her feel like living was worse than death!

”Yu, Yu’er... I’m sorry... I... I may not be able to... continue to be with you... If there’s a next life... I... I am willing to continue being your servant... cough cough...”

Qing Fu’s complexion turned extremely pale. Blood was coughed out from the corners of his mouth. His gaze was distracted, life force quickly fading. Death could come at any moment.

”No! No! No! Qing Fu, you will not die. No! I don’t want you to die, argh!!! I don’t want you to die!!!” Beiming Yu’s eyes widened, filled with red tears. At this moment, her heart felt as if thousands of sharp knives were cutting, tearing it apart. Words couldn’t describe her pain.

”Yu’er... I’m sorry... I couldn’t accompany you to finish the last... last journey... When we initially left... left the Parallel Universe... I... I said I would protect you for a lifetime... It seems the vow I made back then was exaggerated... cough cough... I can’t fulfill it... cough cough... Please forgive me... cough cough.”

As he spoke, Qing Fu’s complexion grew even paler, and he continued to cough blood, each cough making his face as white as paper.

”Stop saying that! Stop saying that! I don’t want to hear anything, I just want you to live, to live well! I don’t want you to die!” Beiming Yu held him tightly, crying loudly, blood tears blurring her vision. She didn’t know how many years had passed since she last shed a tear, but this time it felt like she had cried all the tears of her lifetime.

His intermittent words were like sharp knives, cutting her heart.

”Yu’er... don’t cry. Every person must face death, but my death is... is nothing to worry about. Yet I want to help you do something before I die... to exert the greatest effort I have... Although I will die, my soul will not leave you... ever.”

His voice grew weaker.

Terrified, Beiming Yu quickly stopped her tears, staring at him with blood tears clouding her eyes: ”Qing Fu, what’s wrong? Don’t sleep, don’t sleep. Once you sleep you may never wake again. I can’t be without you, didn’t you say that our bond is higher than the heavens, despite being master and servant? Didn’t you say you’d guard me for life? Back when we were in the Parallel Universe, we didn’t die. Now that we’ve come to this realm, how could you leave me? No! Don’t! Qing Fu, I’m begging you, I’m begging you. I don’t want you to die.

I know you’ve always loved me. If you can survive, we will be together, okay? I’ll marry you, okay? As long as you live, we’ll be together forever, alright?”

”Yu’er... you and I... though called master and servant, but... but you... never treated me as a servant... cough cough... If there is a next life, I would willingly be your servant for life.” Saying this, Qing Fu smiled slightly at the corner of his lips, using all his remaining strength to push Beiming Yu away, then soared into the sky.

Suspended in mid-air, releasing all Primordial Energy from within. Beiming Yu seemed to understand what he wanted to do.

Her bloodshot eyes wide open, she let out a painfully loud scream.

”No!”

But...

Suspended in mid-air, Qing Fu smiled faintly at Beiming Yu with his pale face, ”Yu’er, if there’s a next life, you will be the master, I will be the servant. I am willing to watch over you silently for a lifetime.”

”Boom!!!”

His flesh exploded into fragments scattered across the sky. Beiming Yu watched Qing Fu’s self-destruction before he died. A Seed containing infinite energy slowly descended into Beiming Yu’s hands from the heavens. The warm Elemental Power Seed seemed like another form of Qing Fu, as if telling her with its warmth that he still lived beside her.

”Argh!!! Qing Fu!!!”

At that moment, two crystal tears slid down Beiming Yu’s cheek. She tightly held the Elemental Power Seed, a burst of invisible energy emanating from her, nearly sweeping all objects within a twenty-meter radius away, raising layers of obscuring smoke and dust.

Beiming Yu screamed loudly as if gone mad. Qing Fu didn’t even leave his body behind in death, but instead left everything of his life to her.

This selfless, unconditional love. Rarely seen in all worlds.

”Yu, Yu’er... I’m sorry... I... I may not be able to continue... being with you... if there’s a next life... I... I am willing to continue being your servant... cough cough...”

”Yu’er... I’m sorry... I couldn’t accompany you to finish the last... last journey... When we initially left... left the Parallel Universe... I... I said I would protect you for a lifetime... It seems the vow I made back then was exaggerated... cough cough... I can’t fulfill it... please forgive me... cough cough.”

”Yu’er... don’t cry. Every person must face death, but my death is... is nothing to worry about. Yet I want to help you do something before I die... to exert the greatest effort I have... Although I will die, my soul will not leave you... ever.”

”...”

In that instant, it felt as though the entire universe had paused. Beiming Yu, hair disheveled, arms outstretched, screamed toward the sky. Everything seemed frozen. The dying words of Qing Fu echoed in her ears, his voice filled her mind.

Within the Beiming Mansion... everyone witnessed Qing Fu’s life and death, also witnessing Beiming Yu go mad.

Tears streamed down everyone’s cheeks, Qing Fu’s devotion was evident to all. Though it may not move ghosts and gods to weep, Qing Fu’s selfless companionship throughout his life, ending with such a conclusion, was unexpected by all.

Beiming Lan and Beiming Huang remained silent, without a word spoken. Quietly standing atop a high building, they watched it all unfold. Especially as their mother was now in a state of madness, the sisters held hands, mutually encouraging each other in silence, tears silently falling.
