After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 1134: Chapter 1138: A Group of Good Friends (2)

Huangfu Ruo chimed in, ”Yes, yes, yes, I remember too. Back then, Brother Zimo treated Xiao Qian like she was a treasure, fearing she would melt if held in his mouth, worried she’d break in his palm. At that time, I was almost envious to death of Xiao Qian...”

The few people reminisced about old stories, one after another.

Leng Zimo just sat there, expressionless, clumsily using his left hand to hold chopsticks and pick up food.

Wondering if the cooking skills of his Luo Xiaoqian had improved?!

”Xiao Qian, quickly serve some food to Zimo!” Shen Yizhou seized the moment to remind.

Luo Xiaoqian hurriedly picked up a shrimp for him, and as she placed it on his plate, Leng Zimo frowned slightly.

How should this act be played?!

Eating would mean he’s accepting Luo Xiaoqian, and clearly, now isn’t the time.

Not eating? Should he throw down his chopsticks and leave, with Luo Jun and Qin Wanwan at the table? He really didn’t want to scare the kids, especially Luo Jun.

Seeing Leng Zimo hesitate, everyone grew a bit uneasy.

At that moment, a small, fair hand reached over from the side, directly taking away the shrimp from his bowl.

It wasn’t anyone else but Luo Jun, who was sitting on the other side of Leng Zimo.

Carefully peeling off the shrimp’s shell, Luo Jun brought the peeled shrimp back to Leng Zimo’s mouth.

These days, spending time with Leng Zimo, the little guy, although not willing to call him dad, would proactively help with whatever was within his ability seeing his right hand wasn’t convenient.

The little one might not understand the adult world, but today, being able to sit together with his mom and dad for a meal was already something happy for him.

”Thank you, Mo Mo!”

Leng Zimo opened his mouth and ate the shrimp from Luo Jun’s hand.

This obedient son of his, the timely relief was perfectly executed!

Everyone felt relieved, and the dinner continued.

Leng Zimo, although acting indifferent, ate quite a bit of various dishes. Despite his picky taste, Luo Xiaoqian’s cooking was really just average, but at this moment, being able to eat the meal made by his darling wife and secretly hold her little hand under the table, he was already very content.

After the meal, Leng Zimo got up to say goodbye.

Of course, he wished he could stay a bit longer with Luo Xiaoqian and Luo Jun, but this kind of scene was hard to play out, even if he used to be a film star.

Being able to finish the meal, the few people were already very satisfied and certainly couldn’t expect too much.

Everyone escorted him to the door, where Shen Yizhou reminded him not to forget to attend the engagement party in a few days.

Watching his car gradually fade into the distance, Huangfu Ruo took a deep breath. ”Xiao Qian, don’t worry. This time, Brother Zimo didn’t throw his chopsticks and leave, that’s already a big step forward. Given more opportunities, he’ll slowly accept you.”

”Yes, Xiao Qian, didn’t you see? He ate quite happily knowing you cooked the meal. You know Leng Zimo’s temperament—cold on the outside, warm inside, and caring about face. Give him more time.” Shen Yizhou also comforted her.

”It’s okay, I’m not in a rush.” Luo Xiaoqian smiled at them, took a step back with Luo Jun, and gave a ceremonious bow to the group, ”Thank you all for today!”

”Xiao Qian, what are you doing?!” Huangfu Ruo and Shen Yizhou hurriedly helped her up, ”We’re all friends, helping is only natural.”

Luo Xiaoqian apologetically smiled at them, ”Regardless of the outcome, the kindness from all of you will be remembered by Mo Mo, Zimo, and me for a lifetime. It’s too late, I’ll take Mo Mo home first.”

Having such a group of good friends is Zimo’s luck, and also a fortune for her and Luo Jun.
