Daddy Always Gets Jealous

Afternoon

Two people came to the police station to take a statement, Wang Kai and Zhao Yan.

The two of them arrived well-prepared, bringing various documents.

When they reached the mayor’s office, Jin Bo gave Qin Shaojin a call.

Qin Shaojin didn’t show up, but directly sent Bi Ziyin.

Bi Ziyin arrived at the mayor’s office, greeted Jin Bo, and looked at Wang Kai and Zhao Yan, ”Officer Wang, Officer Zhao, my name is Bi Ziyin, I am Qin the lawyer’s assistant.”

The two of them were surprised to hear she was Qin the lawyer’s assistant, a figure they hadn’t heard of in the legal world, suddenly feeling quite lucky!

At the start of taking the statement, Bi Ziyin reminded them to turn on the law enforcement recorder.

The two of them followed the instructions given by Director Feng, turned on the law enforcement recorder, and looked at Jin Bo, ”Mayor Jin, the victim came to see you at the city government the day before he was killed, is that right?”

Jin Bo, ”Yes.”

Wang Kai, ”Did you give him a box of coffee?”

Jin Bo, ”Yes, it was originally intended for him to give it to his father.”

Wang Kai, ”According to the current evidence from the police, Mayor Jin’s fingerprints were found on the coffee bag consumed by the victim. What does Mayor Jin have to say about this?”

Hearing this, Jin Bo’s expression grew much colder.

His fingerprints?

How could that be!

It was a sealed box of untouched coffee.

Besides, he never touches coffee bags.

Since he gave it out, he hadn’t even drunk coffee in the past few days, let alone touched the coffee bag.

He sat there and briefly explained the situation.

Bi Ziyin listened, then looked at Wang Kai and Zhao Yan, ”Is the coffee bag still available?”

Wang Kai, ”Yes, it is.”

Bi Ziyin, ”Mayor Jin requests to have the fingerprints re-examined under notarization.”

Wang Kai paused, this shouldn’t be a problem, right?

He looked at Bi Ziyin, ”That’s doable.”

Bi Ziyin, ”Because of Mayor Jin’s special status, we need to disclose today’s recorded statement video to the public.”

Wang Kai looked at Bi Ziyin, ”We’ll naturally release it once we return to the police station.”

Bi Ziyin smiled with her single eyelid, ”This is an explanation Mayor Jin needs to give to the public, according to...”

Hearing this stance, it was clear the other party came prepared.

Wang Kai and Zhao Yan didn’t resist further, allowing Bi Ziyin’s side to release the law enforcement video.

Once the video was released, it attracted a lot of attention.

Public opinion seemed almost entirely in support of Jin Bo, not believing he could do such a thing, some even suspecting the police of tampering.

Suddenly, many fans turned into Sherlock Holmes, coming up with all sorts of speculations.

Jin Bo directly posted a message on Weibo: Thank you all for your love, if you truly support me, please refrain from making any statements without evidence. Thank you, everyone.

For a while, because of his Weibo post, he received overwhelming praise.

Yan Xiaoxi, seeing this at home, felt both reassured and worried.

Worried about the fingerprint matter!

She searched online for a long time, not finding any method to cheat with fingerprints.

Not only her, but Qin Shaojin and Huo Jinnan’s side also began research on fingerprints.

Qin Shaojin returned to Jin Bo’s office and looked at him, ”Are you sure you haven’t touched any coffee bag-like items these past few days?”

Jin Bo, ”No.”

Qin Shaojin stood there, pressing his fingers to his nose bridge for a long moment, then leaned closer to Jin Bo and whispered a few words in his ear.

Jin Bo glanced at Qin Shaojin.

Qin Shaojin looked back at Jin Bo.

Jin Bo sat there, lit a cigarette, smoked, and pondered silently, resembling an exquisite, stern face sculpture.
