Daddy Always Gets Jealous

”Are you not clear in your mind?”

Huo Jinnan’s gaze turned cold, and his voice followed suit.

The middle-aged woman sensed trouble; had she been discovered?

She hurried to leave, but Huo Jinnan grabbed her arm, ”Stay right there.”

The middle-aged woman glanced around, panicked, and blurted out, ”You, how can you just put your hands on a woman like that?”

Her voice was quite loud, alarming the people nearby, who all turned to look.

”Oh my gosh, isn’t that Mr. Huo?”

”Yes, it’s Mr. Huo.”

”Wait a second, what did that old woman just say? Did she say Mr. Huo was putting his hands on her? Is she mistaken?”

A young married woman was about to say ’husband’, but seeing her husband’s expression and noticing Tata nearby, she quickly changed it to Mr. Huo.

As soon as her words fell, people around began pointing at the middle-aged woman.

The middle-aged woman’s face flushed red in an instant.

Huo Jinnan’s thin lips pressed into a straight line; one hand gripped the middle-aged woman’s arm, while the other held Qin Huan’s hand. He looked at her, ”Call Shen Mubai and ask him to bring security over.”

Qin Huan smiled sweetly at the middle-aged woman, picked up her phone, made the call, and then looked at the woman, her gaze fierce.

The middle-aged woman struggled to break free from Huo Jinnan but couldn’t.

Huo Jinnan applied more pressure; she stood there obediently, not daring to move.

In less than ten minutes, Shen Mubai arrived with security.

He stood there and adjusted his glasses’ frame, ”Since it’s a mobile appointment, let me see.”

The middle-aged woman didn’t respond directly, ”Who... who are you, what do you want?”

Shen Mubai took off his glasses, wiping the lenses with his fingers, ”You’re the first to cause trouble at my clinic.”

With those words, he looked at the security guards.

The security guards directly took the middle-aged woman away.

Shen Mubai looked at Huo Jinnan, ”Is your wife alright?”

Huo Jinnan nodded and looked at Qin Huan.

Qin Huan smiled sweetly at Shen Mubai, ”We’re fine.”

Shen Mubai glanced at the appointment slip in Huo Jinnan’s hand, ”Take your time waiting; I’ll head in first.”

Huo Jinnan grunted in acknowledgment, standing there with Qin Huan protected in his arms.

It took them an hour and a half to be called.

Huo Jinnan followed Qin Huan into the clinic, listened to the fetal heartbeat, measured the abdominal circumference and uterine height; Shen Mubai nodded, ”Very good, first go for a blood draw, then we’ll do an NT scan. Remember, you need to hold your urine, understood?”

Qin Huan nodded and watched as Shen Mubai prepared the slip; she went with Huo Jinnan to queue for payment and had her blood drawn.

During the NT scan, Shen Mubai specially informed them, and Huo Jinnan followed inside.

Seeing the images on the screen and hearing the choo-choo sound like a little train, his gaze fixed on it.

The female doctor performing the NT scan worried that Huo Jinnan might not understand, so she explained while performing the scan, ”These are fraternal twins; after five months, you can see their gender clearly. There’s the possibility they might be boy-girl twins, you know.”

Qin Huan smiled at Huo Jinnan; with this kind of statement, Ye Bai was really extraordinary.

She couldn’t help but think about the imperial physicians in palace dramas!

After completing the NT scan, they collected the results and returned to Shen Mubai.

Shen Mubai took a quick look at the results, then picked up the blood test report sent over by the lab, looking at Huo Jinnan, ”Did Ye Bai prescribe medicine for your wife?”

Huo Jinnan grunted in acknowledgment.

Shen Mubai adjusted his glasses again, truly impressed; Qin Huan’s hemoglobin levels hadn’t dropped; indeed, they’d increased!

He paused, then looked at Huo Jinnan, ”Any news from Ye Bai recently?”
