Daddy Always Gets Jealous

Hearing the terrifying sounds from the screen along with the protagonist’s screams, Wen Nuan shuddered all over and couldn’t help but open her eyes. At the instant she clearly saw the horrifying images on the screen, she screamed and leaped into Qin Shaojin’s arms, plopping down right on his lap.

Qin Shaojin stiffened for a moment, then looked down at Wen Nuan.

Wen Nuan raised her head and met a pair of beautiful, peach blossom-shaped eyes, only then realizing the extremely intimate posture the two had assumed.

”Sorry... I’m so sorry...”

Wen Nuan hurriedly moved to the side, took a deep breath, and, not daring to look at the screen, tried to distract herself. Looking around, she kept feeling that pairs of ghostly eyes glowing with dim light were watching her!

It was killing her!

She edged closer to Qin Shaojin again.

Qin Shaojin wrapped his arms around her, ”It’s okay.”

Wen Nuan, ”...”

What... what did he say? It’s okay?

Wen Nuan turned her head to look at Qin Shaojin.

Qin Shaojin looked down at her, ”Sit closer to me if you’re scared.”

”Oh!” Wen Nuan scooted a lot closer to him, feeling the two of them pressed so tightly together she could feel his warmth. Although she didn’t mind it at this moment, she worried he might, and so she shuffled just a little bit away.

Seeing how she was acting, Qin Shaojin said, ”Shall we stop watching and go out?”

Wen Nuan nodded vigorously, ”Okay!”

Qin Shaojin stood up, with Wen Nuan closely following behind him.

What if Qin Shaojin started walking too quickly and left her behind all alone?

At this thought, she quietly reached out and tugged at the back of Qin Shaojin’s shirt.

Qin Shaojin walked ahead, squinting his eyes; it turned out she also had moments where she acted clingy. He feared that it wouldn’t be so easy to bring her to watch a horror movie next time.

But right now, if they didn’t leave, and she got too frightened later, it would be a headache for him in the future.

After leaving the screening room, the corridor was brightly lit.

Finally, it felt like returning to the human world from Hell!

Wen Nuan quickly let go of Qin Shaojin’s shirt and took a glance at him. He probably didn’t notice, right? She hadn’t pulled too hard.

Qin Shaojin stopped walking, ”Are you going to take a taxi back to school by yourself?”

Wen Nuan shook her head quickly.

At this time, she would even suspect the taxi driver to be a ghost!

Qin Shaojin stood there, lighting a cigarette, ”Should I take you back to school?”

Wen Nuan was about to nod but then remembered she would be alone in the dormitory tonight; everyone else was out. How could she manage? She absolutely could not sleep alone in the dorm; she would surely be frightened to death.

Qin Shaojin squinted at Wen Nuan.

Wen Nuan bit her lip and glanced at the time; it was already past ten at night. Sister Huanhuan and her husband would have gone to bed by now. Could she shamelessly ask to stay with them for the night?

Then again, even if she went there, she would have to sleep alone!

She took out her phone and called Wen Hua. Hearing that he and her mother had gone on a business trip and that no one was home, Wen Nuan stood there, utterly dumbfounded. Why was everyone gone today? Was the whole world against her?

Qin Shaojin looked at Wen Nuan. Seeing she had ended the call and took a few more puffs of his cigarette, it was clear since he brought her to watch a horror movie, he was fully prepared.

Wen Nuan turned her head and looked at Qin Shaojin with a complex expression.

Qin Shaojin elegantly flicked the ash off his cigarette, ”Looking for a place to stay again?”

Wen Nuan stared at Qin Shaojin. If she went to his place, she would still have to sleep alone! God, at this moment, who could save her?

Qin Shaojin watched her for a while, ”Still scared?”

Wen Nuan nodded honestly.

Qin Shaojin pulled out a beautiful jade pendant from his trouser pocket, ”Here, this thing wards off evil spirits. I’ll lend it to you for a few days.”
