The Darling of Heaven Owns a Rip-off Shop

The faint moonlight spilled into the classroom, the curtains in the corner fluttered like a massive black curtain being lifted and then dropped.

The front door she pushed open slammed shut at this moment, followed by the overturning of desks and chairs in the corner, as if someone deliberately toppled them.

The app interface showed she was almost overlapping with this source of red alert, yet she still couldn’t see it.

Where is this ghost?

Cui Wenyan felt a bit uneasy inside; her master said her Spiritual Eye had already been unlocked, allowing her to see ghosts. She had indeed seen spirits on her way home from school, so why couldn’t she see the ghost nearby now? What’s going on?

”Ding ling ling...”

The class bell rang outside the corridor, shattering the silence. Cui Wenyan was startled, cold sweat breaking out on her back. Why was there a class bell at this hour? The bell for the last session of evening study had already rung.

Just then, the desks and chairs in the classroom began to move by themselves, as if a group of students were eagerly waiting for class to end so they could rush out.

An eerie wind swept through, seemingly lifting her long hair; her nape was chilled, and she hurriedly turned around, whipping out the Nine Bends Whip.

Whack!

The thin silver whip passed through the air, yet it unmistakably left the sensation of hitting something.

Afterwards, the desks and chairs toppled over behind her, all mysteriously returned to calm after she lashed out with the whip.

She frowned while walking toward the back of the classroom, finding nothing except scattered desks and chairs.

Cui Wenyan tugged at the back door of the classroom; it seemed locked from the outside and didn’t budge.

Just as she was about to turn back to the podium, she felt a drop of something fall from above, wiping it off with her hand, a sticky sensation met her fingers and the scent of blood immediately hit her nose.

Her heart skipped a beat as she looked up, only to see a bloodied face! It appeared to be a man, but the head looked cracked open like a watermelon, the skull protruding through the scalp, features completely twisted, one eye displaced near the mouth, seeming to smile.

Bone-chilling terror shot up from her feet, enormous resentment pressed down on Cui Wenyan, rendering her immobile, the entire ceiling writhing with brown gooey substance which emitted a sticky squeezing sound. Black fangs emerged from the ghost’s mouth, lunging directly at Cui Wenyan.

This was the ghost detected on the Ghost Radar. The reason Cui Wenyan didn’t spot it although they overlapped was because it had been above her all along. She never looked up, hence didn’t notice its existence.

A burst of white light suddenly forced open the front door of the classroom, abruptly pushing Cui Wenyan out of her paralyzed state, and with that impact, the immobilizing pressure vanished. She gasped like someone who had been suffocating for long, then ran out of the classroom propelled by the force.

The Nine Bends Whip in her hand swung once more at the relentlessly pursuing blood-faced ghost, grazing its cheek as it passed. The classroom door was forcibly split in half by the whip, white smoke rising from it, the black viscous material clinging to the door panel was flung off by the whip, lying lifeless in place.

Master’s Nine Bends Whip was indeed formidable! Such power!

But the trouble was, she still couldn’t wield the Nine Bends Whip skillfully, otherwise that strike would’ve been enough to split the ghost’s face in two.

The ghost, seemingly wary of the weapon in her hand after taking a hit, emitted a piercing screech and fled along the wall.
